Please stop quoting if you don't really understand my point as I can see we have different opinion about the bible, I study my bible not because I want to rebuke, reproof and correct a man of God, I study it because I want to know God more. Immorality is sin , giving is never a sin. You are the one that as termed it as fraud. You don't have to force your own beliefs on people. Have a wonderful Night.

@ first bolded, you are not Christ, so you can't know what he would have done. We pray earnestly to be like him. If the bible did not record the story of the prostitute that was brought to Christ, I am sure you may have concluded that Christ would rebuke her. @ second bolded, I dont need to have done what I asked him to. As a constructive critic that he wishes to be, he needed not to cite just an example, that was my point. There are no particular cases today that will be exactly as what was recorded in the scriptures. We draw our inferences from the bible.

It amazes me when the only thing atheists and critics see is the "money and donation part of the Gospel". You cited just one personal experience. Are you saying Benny hinn and his likes only go about requesting money at all times? Have you taken your time to go through all his teachings and tapes, all his books? When you do that and you see him talk and ask for seeds in all of them, you can put up what you have up there. Even paul talked about this ; Phil 4: 14-20, 1 cor 9: 11,

90% of people's perception that Kano is volatile is not true, coz I grew up from a northern Christian family in kano.

I can boldly say it, I knew about 15 corpers that ar currently engaging in quite lucrative jobs here in Kano after their Nysc. One Ifeanyi is ofcourse working with the state Science and Technicals schools board as a civil servant since 2008 and has acquired land and living peacefully with his neighbours _majority ar muslims_, of which am very sure is difficult for a non indigine from north to work in the state civil service of states like abia, delta, imo and so.

The only serious problem u may encounter apart from means of communication is NEVER to joke wit their way of life, most importantly, don't abuse or derogate their prophet or Islam, coz if u try it ehn, believe me, u will not live 2 see 2morow. And for d male corpers enh, refrain from any rlntship or trying to toast deir daughters. Then u ar good to go!


I could remember when we were posted to abia -umunna bende, those market women were shouting BOKO HARAM at us despite about 3 of us Christians frm North. - This does not happen in kano.

I never knew kano was PEACEFUL until I saw for myself, yes I mean peaceful, and civilised too. I am in kano as I type this, to spend another few weeks, I love kano state, hospitable people. I thought I would see BH flying everywhere but no that's not kano. I am not a northerner but I think everyone should come ve a feel of the ancient town, I love kano state.

I served there, and I currently live in Kano. Social life in Kano is -0.5% even in the Sabon Bari everyone is talking about, no quality social life. No good event to bring like minds, Most business that strive here are the buy and sell type of business.
The only thing I can say is the cost of living which is quite fair

OP, please anytime you write, always state that the things you're writing are things obtainable in your current location.
Everything you wrote up there about Corp members having a lot of free time is only applicable to Corp members posted to government institutions. This is also what is obtainable everywhere in the country, not just in kano alone.
Again, Sabon gari which is the only in habitable place for foreigners in kano state is a bit expensive. Accommodation there is expensive and lot of other things because of the presence of the Igbos there. Infact if you don't have any other means of generating income as a copa in sabon gari, then you're definitely on a long thing as the nysc stipend would barely take you for three weeks there.
The light situation in kano only improved last month and is already beginning to falter again.

OP write what you know, you have not lived in kaduna to write not good things about it. I was born and brought up in Kaduna, I served in Kano 7 years ago. Funny enough I have families in these two states but I can tell you that Kaduna is more safer than Kano. Stop the hype about kano. I knew how my friends (who came while I was passing out) who lived in a lodge meant for corp members in Taurani L.G ran helter skelter during the 2011 election violence. Even my uncle who lives there always look for a safe place when it's crises. I lived in kaduna till I was 25 before leaving to Lagos and from Lagos to Eastern Europe to further my studies. Never for one day did my family and I ran helter-skelter during crises. As I write, my family members are still living in kaduna and Kano and the difference is clear.

So Mr OP write what you know.

So you have finally confirmed my question, good to know, but i want to get your candid reply, if you were given opportunity to choose between Kadunna and Kano for Nysc bearing in mind that you will like to base there even after your service, which will you choose?

I am sorry but aren't few exceptions and I will like to quickly contribute so that intending Kano PCM will not preempt too much and when they eventually find themselves here, disappointment won't be their lot and as a result sending words to you.

» 70% of corpers cannot find themselves in town as Kano has 44 LGAs while only 8 (Nasarawa, Kano Municipal, Ungogo, Dala, Fagae, Tarauni, and two others I can't remember now) constitue the major towns and the rest 36 are villages.

» It is widely known here that Kano have been battling with little/no power supply for quite a while now and the villages are not exempted.

» My village LGA (Bunkure) here, our LGI has made it mandatory since the last two months to bring along our you-report while failure to do so is no clearance and this I confirmed from surrounding village LGAs like , Kibiya, Rano, Tudun-Wada and co. to be the same.

Every other thing I concur, ranging from security, low cost of living, provision of lodges, no cds at villages, etc.
