Women have been dealing with their husbands having multiple wives for CENTURIES and it is amazing how a MAN can say that women aren't emotionally able to deal with multiple husbands.

I mean SERIOUSLY. Something is WRONG with this picture.

I think generally speaking men are more able to handle it more than women; of course there are certain men who can't handle it. There are, however, women who can handle it perfectly.

But your example about how there are men who are killing their wives for glancing at another man is not a proper analogy; those men can probably handle more than one woman, but they just do not want their women looking at another man. Those men are crazy, anyway.
No, it is a proper analogy because if a man can't handle his WOMAN glancing at another man then how can he handle two, three, four, or five wives glancing at a man?

He should be able to deal with the fact that in this world, people are going to test your marriage and killing because of glancing IN MY BOOK means emotionally unstable!

RomanceRe: You Want To Marry Her But She Doesnt Want 2 Bear Your Surname Will You Allow Her by MrsChima1(f): 7:08am On Dec 15, 2011
Taking a man's surname isn't the problem but MANDATING that a woman take her husband's surname is asinine. They are still legally married and having the same surname doesn't determine lastly happiness. If your marital dispute revolve around disagreements in surname then life priorities are skewed.

Surname is exactly what it is, a surname.
RomanceRe: Women, Can You Marry More Than One Husband? by MrsChima1(f): 6:55am On Dec 15, 2011

Believe it or not, You're not always gonna respect each other. That's a given if you look at life realistically.
There'll need to be a higher codex of conduct guiding the union besides just your whims.

When it comes to that, the bible makes it clear what it should be.
The bible also said slavery is necessary. I take everything in the bible with a grain of salt and with common sense.

As you pointed out, only wives should submit to a GODLY husband, ungodly husbands aren't worthy of submission. wink

Ephesians 5 verse X
"Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord."

"Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything
."

"Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her"

-------------

I don't know what kind of femi-nazi bible you reading, but the husband does not SUBMIT to the wife. He is to love her. Love entails listening to her, considering her views, try his utmost to care for her, taking a bullet for her even, etc. . . . but when it comes down to it in the heavenly court of law, your husband's word is household law and his decrees final.

If women just did this, there will be peace in most homes. It is when, instead of working with your husband, you try to fight your way into wearing his trousers, that you have issues. See the Devil and his current state for reference.
You can do better boo boo. (yawning)

sub·mit   [suhb-mit] Show IPA verb, -mit·ted, -mit·ting.
verb (used with object)
1.
to give over or yield to the power or authority of another (often used reflexively).
2.
to subject to some kind of treatment or influence.
3.
to present for the approval, consideration, or decision of another or others: to submit a plan; to submit an application.
4.
to state or urge with deference; suggest or propose (usually followed by a clause): I submit that full proof should be required.

According to YOU, you stated a man should consider, listen, take a bullet, and love his wife. You just described submission. wink

There are women who have submitted totally to their husbands and MANY OF THEM are not in a good marriage. Submission has nothing to do with the success rate of one's marriage but the compatibility, PARTNERSHIP, and MUTUAL RESPECT.

According to YOUR BIBLE, a man leaves his family and CLEAVED AS ONE TO HIS WIFE so shouldn't A MAN AND WOMAN submit to each other as they are ONE? Now you mentioned HEAD of the family, but you failed to mentioned without the NECK, the head doesn't stand a chance. It still goes back to COMPATIBILITY, PARTNERSHIP, AND MUTUAL RESPECT!!!!!

Real talk though, my dad always told me to never move in with someone that isn't my husband because MOST not all men would settle for the free cow before buying the milk that if they don't love the person whom they are shacking with.  I know a couple who has been shacking for 20 years and YET TO GET MARRIED.  I always asked them if they believed in marriage and they responded that marriage may destroy their "chemistry" or whatever the bleep that mean.   huh

I told them I understand not everyone believes in marriage or feel that it is necessary BUT marriage in itself has nothing to do with their chemistry or lack thereof.  But, Upendo made a good point when she said humans aren't cars there aren't a need to test drive them.  If you are not compatible, you are not compatible.

Exactamundo!! If you keep looking for men at the same places then you're likely to end up with the same set of guys,  Open your mind and explore a little. For example rather than look for "him" in clubs, try churches, libraries or a brothel huh

Another issue is when the good (but poor, wor wor, k-legged) men come your way you ignore them in favour of the blantantly bad (but rich, handsome, and straight legged) men,  it dont work like that sometimes.

@poster
how can a guy, already in a r/ship (whether good or bad) be viewed as the "right" guy? shouldnt the fact that he is taken AUTOMATICALLY make him NOT right? i guess YOU are part of the problem if you still have eyes (and time) to evaluate men already in r/ship.

also, i will be bold to say that YOU are definitely the problem if no RIGHT guys are attracted to you (or that you cant find any). if supposedly "wrong" gals can find these guys then how hard can it be for YOU to find them too? lol!

so i suggest you look within yourself (or the place you search for such guys) and fix whatever is wrong in your approach of the issue.
