RuuDie:
Most might be mad at Sepp, but there is actually some sense in this. . . . .
Not at all. It actually goes to show how much of a slowpoke and a dinosaur Sep is. So its ok to racially abuse an opponent on the pitch as long as you plan to apologise for that behavior once the final whistle goes? Really? How exactly is that kicking racism out of football? Ridiculous.

In what was a heated argument between players on the pitch how endearing was calling someone negrito meant to be? undecided

Suarez charged with racially abusing Evra.

Apparently Suarez claimed he called Evra a negrito which is meant to be a term of endearment in Uruguay grin. Idiot.

"I was really emotional, I couldn’t believe it. I didn’t expect that and I have to thank the club for that," said Sir Alex. "It’s fantastic of them to do that and I’m really proud of it.

"I didn’t know a thing about it. [Assistant manager] Mike Phelan knew about it but never told me, so he’s sacked; he’s out the door! I had no idea at all and my family didn’t know anything about it."

Seems like some pple on this page, will get their prayers answered.  grin grin
SAF shouldnt get my hopes up like that oh. angry grin

Baba not yet realising but slowly getting there. We have zero midfield.

Honestly wish we could discover a miracle youth drug and give Baba to carry on forever.  grin

On another note, surprised that there is no room for Pogba on d bench, despite d central midfield absentees. Just show SAF was exaggerating his pre-season claims of Pogba's promotion and introduction to d first team.
I agree on both counts. Im pretty sure i will shed a tear when he finally retires.

I think its difficult this day and age with young players. I hope he gets introduced soon but if there's anyone who knows the best time to introduce a young player. its SAF.

Baba celebrates 25 yrs as the Boss at Old Trafford. Legend.

Alot of people have been trying to put together SAF's best players in that period. Very difficult but mine is something like this.

Schmeichel;
G Nev,
Stam,
Vidic,
Irwin;
Ronaldo,
Keane,
Scholes,
Giggs;
Cantona,
Ruud

Bench:
VDS
Beckham
Rooney
Rio
Robson
Solskjaer

I know i'll get some flack for Stam ahead of Rio but I was just such a fan of Stam. Was distraught when SAF shucked him out.

mbulela:
anyway, it depends on your idea of top.
one man's top is another man's mediocre.
none of United's central midfielders fits my idea of top by any stretch of the imagination.
Least of all, Anderson.
all this chop and change in the middle by Fergie hoping to stumble on a magic combination will not solve the problem.
that central midfield needs a clear out.
I've said this before, we have the worst set of central midfielders in the top 5 maybe 6 teams in the country.

Young, Smalling and Cleverley still injured and won't play at the weekend
This means Anderson will not be able to complete a 5 yard pass to a teammate against Sunderland. embarassed

Huge difference is Rooney actually looked into the Camera and swore at the camera. Several times. Totally different to Terry who was might have been picked up by the camera swearing ( or using more offensive words) at another player. Those two incidents are incomparable as Rooney wasnt banned for swearing on the pitch.

the ferdinands should forget the ish jare and let's concentrate on football.

using the n-word or not, i really don't know why it's such a big issue.
black people refer to each other as nigga. but the moment a white guy says it, it's offensive!
isn't that hypocrisy on it's own? why am i allowed to call rio a nigger and rooney is not allowed to?
I think you're looking at it the wrong way round. It is racism if you insult someone based on their race which is what Terry is alleged to have done.
He is alleged to have described Anton as a "f**king Black c**t". which is wholly unacceptable. If they can prove it then the book should be thrown at his. Alas, we all know the spineless FA will find a way to sweep this under the rug.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Premier League Champions 2010/11 by MrTA(m): 11:43am On Oct 27, 2011
To be fair, it is pretty difficult to prove as its basically one word against another unless they can find a witness atleast from the QPR players.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Premier League Champions 2010/11 by MrTA(m): 11:36am On Oct 27, 2011
I dont really want to get into the Terry thing as the so called video evidence seems inconclusive.

The FA have launched an investigation into it and i expect if they find him guilty they will throw the book at him.

At the moment, they havent found him guilty because there was no clear evidence the cameras and mics didnt actually pick up what he said. I wont compare it to Rooney's case at all because Rooney's one was clear cut.

Silly question considering its not even close or debatable. Losing that badly at home to your local rivals by far.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Premier League Champions 2010/11 by MrTA(m): 12:01pm On Oct 24, 2011
Personally, Im not blaming the defense so much, it still comes down to SAF thinking our midfield is any good. we have the worst group of central midfielders in the top 5 maybe 6 teams. They dont protect the back 4, well enough, they dont score enough goals and they dont assist enough. Just useless and the main weakness in the team.

One more thing. David Silva. Wow. As painful as it is, he is a joy to watch.
