At the time when Madrid wanted to buy CRonaldo from us, They offered Sneijder as part of a player +cash deal but he wasnt interested in being a part of a swap deal for Ronaldo. This was reported at the time by his agent. Although SAF wasnt too keen at the time as he wanted all the money but Sneijder's agent came out to say no chance of him being a part of any player+cash deal for Ronaldo which meant there must have been something in it.

Pretty impressive with what I've been reading. Again, still not sure we should be going after Sneijder and this has nothing to do with yesterday's match. We still need a new midfielder in the team.

More Paper rumours that Berbatov is off to PSG for £18M and Sneijder is on his way to man utd, deal agreed.

Rumours that Joey Barton might be released on a free, but someone ensure SAF doesnt see or hear about this.

Im still torn about Sneijder. Sometimes I want us to sign him sometimes I dont, particularly at the crazy prices (transfer and wages), also not 100% convinced he's what we need. At the same time, we need a good midfielder player to add to the squad definitely, especially with Scholes,Hargreaves leaving and Fletcher's AIDS. If only we could turn Modirc's head away from London. That would have been ideal.
