funlord: "Obviously when the decision is not uniform around Europe, we are opening an element of disadvantage for the English clubs! That was the reason why Manchester United voted against it, because there is an element of disadvantage.
There will be a moment where the market is closed for us but it is open for the others. Obviously they can come to the English clubs, they can buy players and they can leave English clubs without the possibility of a quick action, of a quick response, so it’s another element of weakness. I hope, I expect, my club to be strong enough and powerful enough that when the market closes for us, we can also close our doors and say ‘it doesn’t matter what the offer is we’ve closed the market to buy and to sell’.I expect my club to be acting that way so we are going to reduce that element of weakness, but there are other English clubs that will be at risk.
My thoughts are from the coach’s point of view – Jose Mourinho as the head coach of Manchester United I want travel with my players in pre-season, I don’t want to be waiting for late decisions when the championship has started already. That’s the perspective of the coach, but there is another perspective, and the other perspective where I can also include myself because I am more than just the head coach, I have also to share the problems that the board have."
Jose mourinho!... Deals only take months because clubs drag their feet. Deals can be completed in 24hrs from point of putting in a 1st bid to player completing their medical. This will allows clubs to get on with it so that when the season kicks off, that is the team that will play till the January window. There is no need for clubs to be waiting till the last day. Germany apparently have agreed to the same thing and others might follow. Even if they don't, one week isn't a huge disadvantage. Clubs need to learn to be slicker with their business. |

joeace2020: It was so obvious from the tone of his voice that the boy disappoint am wella. This and the coming months are when the squad would be stretched to it's limit and you are running of to La Liga. A fvcking two team league where if he returns he wouldn't be more prepared to handle the Epl. I am suspecting Mourinho may call him back sha since a January recall was included in his loan deal. The kid wants to play. He's still in a very crucial point of his development so he needs games. Playing regularly in la liga will help that. Jose's squad is deep enough especially with the addition of McTominay. We'll be fine. |

Oasis007: The good News is; he's trusted by JM, and I believe he's definitely gonna come good for the Team.
JM hinted the Lad can play RB, I guess that's the Reason he loaned out Tuanzebe and Mensah. Hence, he's gonna be a direct Replacement for Valencia. Did Tuanzebe go anywhere on loan? I don't think so. |

pharod: I think JM should give Lindelof a chance against lesser oppositions in the EPL. The guy's been solid for Sweden so far. He doesn't make too much tackles but he is very intelligent on the ball. Against teams that we might not need to do too much defending, Lindelof should be given game time. Good point. He might need bedding in with those lesser teams before stepping up to the bigger games. He definitely looks like he has good potential. Although I'm currently very happy with Jones and Bailly partnership. We all know it's only a matter of time before Jones picks up an injury. |

Pogba has played really well so far. Matic has been very solid. Miki has been good but not consistent overall 3 matches for me. Good assists obviously. Jones has also been very solid. Pogba probably edges it for me.

Ibime: Story for the Gods. Matic can never be compared to Kante even by the most die hard Matic fan, yet Matic is sonning Herrera
This is a super story. JM played 2 CMs for most of last season, and again this season. The only difference is Matic benching Herrera. Not most of last season. Carrick anchored most of last season for Pogba and Herrera. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by MRTA7: 8:42pm On Aug 26, 2017 |
sinizia: Hererra's bench matter for me, is down to Mhikitaryan playing constantly as a 10 this season. A link I dropped this morning showed that Mourinho played Mhiki as a winger so many times last season, with Pogba given the AM in many matches. In some matches, Mourinho would play Carrick and Herrera as the DMs while Pogba is played behind Zlatan. But with Mhiki back as a 10, Pogba rightfully untouchable, and Matic being Mourinho's adopted son, Hererra and Carrick ended up as the losers.
The Madrid game also didn't do Herrera any good with Matic ending up exceling in that match. I feel for him, but Mou shouldn't alter this winning formula at all. Not sure why you're wasting your time. They are not here for facts but to troll. Herrera is not being benched by Matic. He's on the bench due to a change in formation and will be back in the team once Jose wants to employ a more defensive approach against the bigger sides. |

elampiro: It was almost an excellent game, particularly the first half. Even if we drew the game I would still have praised the team.
Martial did a good work with his build up play with other players.
Phil Jones did almost excellent against Mahrez. The only time Mahrez got past, Jones actually dispossessed him and in return missed step to lose the ball. Otherwise it was a master class today from Jones.
Valencia is over criticized. He had two occasions he could have put in a better cross, he stamped when he was trying to pick a team mate rather than just put in a cross. Valencia usually try to pick a team mate, that's why he finishes the league as the player who got most cross accuracy in the whole EPL. Unlike those Sterling, De Bruyne, Townsend, Oxlaid, etc who usually just whip in crosses. We should not forget the defence was so tight today that even Mkhitaryan's crosses went to the goalkeeper instead, and Martial also stamped.
Good team play, good football from Manchester United today.
Jones has always been our best defender. Problem is keeping his fitness. Who is to blame for that DDG save chance at the end? |
