afrodoc2: I am still not convinced about his mobility and his ability to pass in between the lines. I need to watch him more this season.
There is a difference between playing in low blocks with hardworking players around him at West Ham AND playing in a high line with Bruno and possibly Pogba bombing forward leaving him isolated.
An important quality we need in the prospective CDM is mobility which will allow him to cover large areas of the field alone while 2 more adventurous midfielders are on the pitch.
Another crucial quality is broad passing range which will enable him to be fulcrum from which our play can be initiated.
We shouldn’t repeat a Maguire situation where we buy a good player for the wrong system. I'm actually very impressed by this mobility. my issue is his passing range can be a little erratic. But he is very mobile with and without the ball which I think might be one of his strengths. I do think he might be Chelsea bound though. |

Really massive win. Pogba was excellent. Really hope our forwards get it together. They looked very poor and lacking in confidence. Martial in particular. Although I hope the injury isnt too bad. We can play Cavani up top and Rashford from the left against Liverpool.
Ole has done really well so far. Cant complain too much. Hopefully the team can keep it up. Some real challenges ahead. |

Oasis007: Manchester United are now oriented *not* to sign Moises Caicedo. He’s been scouted and Man Utd were in control of the situation because Moises’ dream was to join Manchester United, but he’s not the priority. It was *never* a done deal.
‘Caicedo race’ is now on with many clubs involved.
- Fabrizio Romano Better to wait till he'll cost 80m then sign him then. |

96forever: this excuse doesn’t hold water, it’s a semi final against a derby rival at old trafford, your best defender should be on the field. Bailly not playing is not why we lost the match last night. |

But what’s with GW 19? There are 16 matches to be played. Double game week for a lot of teams. Good chance to rack up a lot of points. |

eph12: We need a fast DM that's good on the ball urgently. Then maybe a CB. Our attacking options are quite okay Agree with DM, problem is I think we have too many midfielders to add another one. Ndidi is still the one I would want. |

Kelvinsteve1000: So given a chance to sign someone this month, who do you think we should go after knowing the position we need to fix? CB, I love Bailly but I dont trust him to stay fit. For January, that is the most pressing position. If Brandon Williams leaves on loan then RB. Max Arrons has been linked. |

Really good and important 3 points. A particularly good way to start the new year. Happy Martial scored.
Grealish was the best player on the pitch.
McGinn and Douglas luiz better than McFred.
Martinez is a very good keeper.
Our defence will probably cost us the title. |

Botfuss: He’s a very good defender and can play in at least 3 positions for us. His wages would be high because we’d get him for free. E no go too bad like that. And he’s 28. I am suspicious about him. Bayern are not mugs. They wouldn't let him go at 28 if they dont see an issue. Also he's got very high mileage even at 28. Usually if its too good to be true it is. Something is not right. See Thiago's injury struggles. |

Also, can someone tell Peter Drury and Jim beglin to get off Liverpool’s dick? They are not the first team to score seven in a match They are getting respect because there are no great teams to challenge them. |

eph12: That they have conceded lesser goals than us is obvious. What we're trying to ascertain is if they also have better defenders or team than us.
If we have better defenders, then what could be the problem? Balance, leadership, coaching. |
