Excuse me, what season did Ole finish 6th in the league? In his first full season he finished 3rd. This is his 2nd full season. He started as caretaker halfway through Jose's season. huh

I love Ole the player. one of my favourite players during his playing career at united. Nothing would be sweeter than to see us win the title with him as our manager.

Reality is, while he has done relatively well in his time as manager. He hasnt shown that he has what it takes to take us to the next level but he also hasnt done enough to deserve the sack.

So please make space on that fence for me.

Someone claimed Pep had more options to call from ranging from defence to attack hence City are doing better but I objected noting that we have players of similar capability or there about. I went further to say that City have had most of their key players plaque by injuries meaning we stand an even better chance than them but we don't have a manager with the tactical nous to get us playing to our potential...

To highlight that City doesn't have the better attack (form and not names), I proceeded to check the stats of attackers in the both teams and saw we come out tops...

The one area City tops us this season is in the defense and most of us have pointed it out for sometime now that our defense will cost us...

I know you haven't followed the debate...

Fair enough, I didnt see where you factored in city's injuries. Defence definitely cost us a title challenge but its still our attack that has cost us individual matches. Ole wont take us to the next level and that is also because our squad doesnt have the right balance as well.

Maybe, it's you who is looking at names rather than present form...

They definitely have a much better defence that one is certain.

Just checked the GF and GA stay and from what I see, we and City are tied on 37 goals for but the difference is that they have conceded 13 whilst we have conceded 27 having played one more game...That's a negative of 14 goals compared to City but no, you'll think Manchester City forwards are doing so well when in all honesty, our forwards have been better...

This is not me saying I'm impressed with our strikers but compared to City, we have the better forwards on current form...

Well most of their strikers have been injured for most of the season. so despite united playing a game more we havent scored more goals.

De Gea should have protested for that first goal. If Sheffield goal stood, Martial's goal should have stood too...

That's because he knows he was at fault. That was always his weakness and he should have done better.

I've seen Martial goal given and also seen it not given. That one is 50/50. DDG one is not.

City won against Villa with a penalty and a goal that would have been offside if the referee knew what he was doing.

City may be doing good but as long as we keep our consistency, we are winning the league.

Its funny how despite going top, we havent been title favourites at any point by bookmakers and pundits. Only among united fans.

Of course we could have. We had the best chances, we just didnt believe enough which was understandable. We still dont have that mentality yet to see a wounded animal and know when to go for the kill.

I don't even think we will win this league come end of season. We're still some way off. I just want us to play very well and put up dominant displays every match day. We have no business dropping points against some certain teams. If we do, it should be because we're extremely unlucky.

I like what Neville said after the Liverpool match. The team is not far enough in their development of having a winning/championship mentality to take advantage of Liverpool's difficult moment. The team is still developing well mentally but they're not there yet.

At some point, even with a full squad, they'll struggle to break down teams. It happened to City last season. Players will lose form. I'm not under any illusion that what they achieved last season will be sustained this season

Exactly, It could happen to any team really. They could also improve on last season which seems impossible or falter. No one ( Even us fans) expected us to be where we are now for a reason. And even with us being top, City and Liverpool are still favourites to finish ahead of us. Less than 2 months ago most were calling for Ole's head on a spike. ( including me). So while he's doing well and I'm very happy that he is, Liverpool would feel they have plenty of room to improve due to injuries and City know if they win their games they go top.

Nope I don't agree. We have Fred, Pogba, VDB, Bruno, Tom and Matic in midfield. With the right combination, this should be a solid top midfield. Rashford has been here a couple of years. His quality is not debatable. We have Greenwood coming in, which some swear is one of the best finishers in the league. Cavani has great movements and still has a lot of goals in him. Our defense including the goal keeper have some quality. This team, playing the right football and tactics should be exactly where they're now or around there. No magic has happened, the quality is proportional to the position on the table.

Its somewhere in the middle. We're top because we've improved drastically by over 10 points at this time last season but Liverpool are also nearly 20 points worse than they have been in the last 2 years at the same stage.
