It is difficult for me to comprehend how a road safety corps official that usually extorts people on the road owns and uses an iPhone 7, let alone forget it in someone's car. Is it really his? Does he know its value? Did he buy it or has he experienced the 'pocket dent' or pain associated with buying such a device? But may be its a Chinese replica sha. I am also of the opinion that posting pictures of the car with the plate number especially under this kind of scenario is not a wise thing to do. Whether or not the device belongs to the frsc man, by now he may already be making efforts to trace this guy and if he eventually spots this car, the owner own don finish. By the way, if he collected bribe, why not show him that you're a law abiding and god fearing citizen by returning his phone? This may just be the turning point for his evil ways. Even if he doesn't realize or change, just do your part. "Be the change you want to see in the world." It is for a similar reason that Nigeria is what it is today - 2 wrongs do not make a right! You were wrong by not wearing your seat belt and he was wrong to have collected N10,000 from you (we both know that it'll end up in his pocket and not frsc account). And very soon some people will blame the president for all these when you, him, I and every other Nigerian are the ones to bring positive change. But wait oh, is there another Bida between Port-harcourt and Lagos? I am not understanding again. In short, I rest my case. |

Recall that while some were outrightly rejected before the aptitude test, the application status of many others remained inconclusive (by not being invited nor rejected) but later received rejection notices. Thus, in a similar fashion, it can be deduced that those with inaccessible profiles may have been dropped while those who can login but received no sms/email may still be contacted, although this is highly unlikely. The deduction above is not meant to make people feel bad but please and please whatever happens, accept that it was meant to be. |
There are some possibilities regarding the messages received or being received (could be any or some of the following points):- 1. Those that received sms/email to update their info had something missing or incorrect on their profile WHILE those that didn't are good to go. 2. Those that received sms/email are the only ones who were selected for the next stage and the most up-to-date information is required since the details were filled-in last year WHILE those that didn't would no longer be considered. 3. Those that can access their profiles still stand a chance WHILE those that cannot have been dropped, regardless of whether messages were received by them or not. 4. The messages are meant for everyone who sat for the aptitude test but due to some system glitch or the sending to be done in batches, only some received. 5. Interviews and selection could be completed before year 2017 runs out against training or work resumption early into 2018 OR nothing happens again until next year. Whatever the case, TIME WILL TELL! Meanwhile, some think all their details are intact but little things like uploaded format or file size or corrupted file or unreachable referee could be causing or cause problems for them. If you received the sms/email, please recheck very well and ask someone to try spotting any mistake or inconsistency so as not to bite finger later. |

Urgent question please: Is it one's WAEC result that's required for upload or Testimonial from secondary school? When I applied soon after the advert, all my documents were almost or over 2mb in size. Now that I received an sms + email, I am trying to delete, resize and upload the documents that are not more than 324kb. Then it was WAEC I uploaded but now I am seeing 'Secondary School leaving Certificate' there. Which one of them pls? Can I upload both?

Emmykings24th:1-page forms were given to screened, about to be interviewed candidates to fill in some date (name, origin, details of position applied for, number, signature, date) and collected as soon as one is called in for the so-called interview. |
Dani2017:Seconded. |
Some beautiful ones have now been born but prefer not to show themselves by competing or don't have the time/freedom. No offense but come to the north and you'll understand what I mean! |
The letter is not fake please! We all know that proper English language is a big challenge for many Nigerians especially government workers. The issue of KW is definitely a typographical error and is most likely Kano. Of course, Kwara wasn't among the centres. Sometimes it's someone's shitty hand-writing that leads to such an error during typing. A closer look at the letter overall should reveal several other mistakes like the use of punctuations, sentence structure, etc. Even though official and sensitive letters such as this usually ought not to feature such mistakes as there are people that ensure letters are in order at their offices, the letter does not seem to be fake and was actually sent to DPR. It is only normal for the photocopy to be stamped as acknowledgement copy. If anything is fake about the letter then it has to be the sender. On this note, my instincts are strongly telling me that the letter was deliberately crafted by someone close to the Chief Whip's office (someone with access to letter-headed paper, signature sample of the Chief Whip, stamp for instance, etc) to present their own candidates to Director of DPR to make it look like it's from the Chief Whip. In other words, impersonation! How comes none of the surnames of the candidates are familiar? And it is a situation like this that some take advantage of to make money from the candidates in exchange for a slot. Come to think of it, even if politicians might want to exert influence for their preferred candidates, they are conversant with all these recruitment processes so they are not that foolish to the extent that the names are made available cheaply in this manner. Even hand-written notes, they hardly issue it these days because of the risk posed by social media. Taking the recent CBN case for instance, it was even after several months or few years of working (after appointment) that their names got leaked, not letters of introduction before the deed was done! What most people fail to understand was that if there would be 'candidates of favour', then they must have been considered during the period after applications for recruitment was closed and before the aptitude tests were conducted. People are unnecessarily getting stressed and worked up over this. Please switch your attention towards something else while hoping for the best. What will be, will be!!! If one misses the opportunity by so doing, then the person will find it easier to forget but if one eventually gets it, fine and good - it would even come as a surprise and make the whole thing sweeter |
IMPORTANT ADVICE for those yet to write 1. Manage your time very well!!! The time to answer 45 questions in 45 minutes will almost certainly not be enough because many questions may take more than a minute to answer. Make sure you skip the ones you don't know or are not sure of (DON'T SPEND TIME TRYING TO FIGURE IT OUT even if it seems easy). I suggest that you guess any difficult one and move on then note the section and question number on your rough sheet. You can come back to it later if you have time BUT trust me when I say this, there may be no time at the end to even go back to select answers at random. So if you have guessed already, it may be right or wrong and if guessing is what you'll have to do at the end, then you already have something selected ![]() 2. Don't cram Questions may not be repeated so just study the basics or formulae of whatever it is you're studying then practice some for better understanding. The rate at which people are looking for past questions is really astonishing. Many others keep dropping their email addresses...why? The so-called DPR PQ's were culled online or those of other agencies. This approach is even counter productive because one may end up wasting time studying what is irrelevant to the ongoing aptitude test. As I said, understand the principles so you may apply them on your own ![]() 3. Don't come with unnecessary stuff Only bring along a clear copy of your exam slip, a valid means of ID having a clear picture of your face, a calculator (not necessarily scientific) and pencil to do some minor calculations. It is also advisable to also come along with evidence of invitation. For instance, printing out the email directly from your inbox. I was asked for it and I had to return to get it. Please note that the rough sheets from you at the end of the test and you're expected to write your email and phone number on the paper. Only God knows if they intend to look at it to deduce whether or not you knew/worked it or guessed. Keep phones, bags and study materials away ![]() 4. Be refreshed There may be a delay due to network and it may affect the time you're meant to start. Ensure you ease yourself before coming. Drink water to avoid dehydration. There may be waiting without the freedom to go grab your bag or get back to your car or even buy something. For those that don't take breakfast, you may want to reconsider as this may affect the speed at which your brain processes the test questions ![]() 5. Come early Don't deliberately come to the venue very close to the time because of what was stated on the exam slip. Come to the venue early and figure out the entrance, exit, current batch writing, next batch to move in (yours), etc. All the same, they will call the batches when they're ready. So the 30mins and 15mins latest and earliest arrival time is misleading as someone may decide to arrive at the venue close to the time. There are many applicants so if you do that, you're on your own. Though there may be delays ![]() 6. Give your best shot and pray about it! The number of applicants is huge! Many unemployed/employed and experienced/rookies who applied from all over the nation and even abroad for multidisciplinary categories to be tested at only few locations (Abj, Lag, PH, etc). Now how many do you think are going to be employed? You'll agree with me that this may not exceed 500 required candidates overall for GT and EH (just saying but being realistic). Don't feel discouraged especially due to the Nigerian culture of recruitment into government agencies (you know what I mean). The fact is that many are going to be on merit because there are many sensitive roles that require really competent hands/brains and would not just be assigned to some people no matter who they are. Come to think of it, they won't spend so much money and time especially as regards venue, consultants, etc if they really won't hire on merit. One may argue that it is just to fulfill all righteousness especially federal character but hey, keep hope alive... we all stand a chance of being hired. DPR is one of the best places to work in this country, if not the best (leave those multinationals aside - they sack and unsack anyhow and it's not about salary but working conditions, career prospects, job security and allowances). GOOD LUCK TO US |
blazingkings:As for No.10, thatt of Yobe State is 'The young shall grow' |
Spoke with them yesterday and the expected delivery is now June 23rd. I suspect that they cancelled that one and made a fresh order but are hiding this from me. I could see that the order date now changed to June 4. I am tired of all these! A month now and I may still have to wait for another month. Apparently, the 10-15 business days claim is a hoax |
My current ordeal: It all started when I found a laptop on Amazon.com and decided to use MallforAfrica. Since it was above 30cm, I made a custom request and sent them the link. I noticed that the quote I was sent was for the one sold directly by Amazon & not that of the merchant the link points to which was cheaper by over $70 than that of Amazon. I didn't bother and assumed that delivery may be faster and may be it's due to partnership with Amazon or experience with merchants. After placing an order through webcard, status changed to 'Awaiting items' from merchant after 2 days of 'processing' the payment I made on 10th May 2017. Now I'm getting more skeptical and apprehensive by the day cos only God knows where my laptop is and whether it'll get to me in one piece or if it's the actual one I ordered for. I'm already having bad feelings about the whole transaction, my very first with MFA. I didn't contact them all this while just to see how they operate but when I began to get worried and thought of calling or emailing, they notified me via email (after about 2 weeks of waiting) that investigation is ongoing into the delay on why the merchant hasn't sent the laptop to them and promised to keep me posted. The next day, they emailed again and later called notifying me of the merchant's unexpected inventory issue but the same laptop from another merchant is now en route to their warehouse and item should arrive on or before 2nd of June. I'm not sure whether this date is for arrival at their warehouse or Abuja office. I don't even know if there's a price difference now. Status is now 'Other' as I write this. |
Please how much is a brand new Keke? I intend to purchase a few if possible and rent them out. Can anyone that is into the business shed some light on some of the major problems faced and whether or not it is profitable? Is maintaining them a big deal? |
0.25tb is too small na. My lappy no get secondary drive slot. What of 1tb ssd? Where did u get yours and for how much? |
After using Double King 205/55 R16 for at least 4 years, I ran into a deep pothole on the way to Minna that got me worried about the tyre sometime last year but to my surprise nothing happened! I even thought the tyre will become useless because I felt the slight hit on the rim. Recently, I replaced the tyres with the same product again. Relatively cheap and dependable. I heard Maxxis is of a very high quality too. I bought it this month on another car that had Michelin but I haven't used it long enough to say much about it. |
It could be that the 200,000 refers to the number of people that could benefit from the construction and rehabilitation of railways nationwide. This may include cleaners, labourers, jobless community youths, traders, etc. Not necessarily all of them being directly on NRC's payroll. |

Xmen149:At least Rail transport is very interesting, just like it is with Airplanes. It's still better than doing nothing at home or on the streets . That being said, I think pay would be much better this time around now that railway system is functioning, unlike in previous years. |
Areas of concentration (unofficial - my own thought): The MD of NRC, history of NRC (eg founding date, etc), head office, type of rail/guage being used in Nigeria, total rail distance (kd-abj), number of stations, contractor, project sum, contract procurement method, duration of construction from start to finish, parts of a rail track and so on! Begin by reading up every page on the website particularly the About Us section and then related news articles as much as you can. Reading about the basics of railway engineering, design & maintenance may be of benefit especially to the engineers. Study the organizational structure and try to know all the management staff (names, position, department, etc). Finally are general aptitude questions (e.g verbal/numerical reasoning, current affairs, etc). Good luck to us all! |
estellepink:It it's not a mistake, then her details must have found their way to NRC through someone. May be someone else who has her CV applied on her behalf. You know there are still good nigerians around ![]() |
slyd90:Pls if you know you were not invited just wait a little bit more. The invitations were not sent all at once. Going there might only make things more difficult for the staff there and the invitees. ![]() |
What annoys me the most are the flimsy issues Magu is under fire for. In my opinion, having links to terrorist groups or being a cultist or being a killer or having a history of laundering huge sums of money are some of the severe issues that should prevent him from being appointment into office. What I know for sure is that nothing good comes easy and clean. I see this whole thing as a stumbling block on Magu's way to being an anti-corruption legend in Nigeria. If it is the will of God, it will happen even if everybody in the world is against it and vice-versa. All what I want is for this country to move forward in terms of anti-corruption, justice, transparency, economic prosperity, peace, security, hunger-free citizens, etc (the list is almost endless). I rest my case. |
As for those people talking about Magu as only one out of 180m Nigerians should please name someone else that can go after the corrupt ones the way Magu is doing. Let's be true to ourselves please. It is in the same vein that Buhari is the president today. Can you name any other man that Nigerians can easily vouch for not aiming for the presidency except to make life better for the common man ![]() |
What is special about him is that he does his job fiercely without caring about who the hell you are. Some senators are only scared about going to jail because Magu never danced to their tunes, is not doing so and can never do so!!! SageTravels: |
