I know a couple of Nigerian women that have been married for over 50 years they have no fond memories of their marriages only regrets.

All this “our mothers” they easily throw about the only advice older women can give you in marriage is to endure. If you hear the things most of them went through you would cry. One told me how her husband would naked her in the presence of his mistress, at the end of it all instead of enjoying their old ages they become nurses for men that maltreated them.


My former neighbor would always lament how her husband treated her badly and refused her from going to school but they are married for over 40 years. Will you call that a happy marriage?
