I only went to the police station in yola and reported and I also gave them the imei number with 5k. I advise you go to the station close to you and try to sort the person in charge and also try and get his contact I believe within two months or less you will recover your phone. it will be easier to track down the person if he is within your state because they will go to the place in question by themselves but if it is outside the state they will have to liaise with the nearest police station to carry out the arrest.

believe me nothing is going to happen, in fact this is issue is dead on arrival. watch and see and quote me when it happens.

that's not true, I recovered my two phones through that and the culprits are still in detention just that none of them has agreed that he is the one who stole it, all they keep saying was that it was being sold to them by someone but I have collected my phones, although it has taken some time before they were able to track the exact position the person was. when they track the phone and the person is at point 'A' and eventually the person moves to point 'B ' they have to exercise some patience until it got to a point where they discovered that the person is stationary. But as per Naija you will have to sort the police man to encourage him because you are not the only person with that issue.
