Tinubu so far still has the best chance.

He is representing well in his region the South West.

He is dragging Rivers.

He is having some presence in the core north and north central.

I know it is still early days but if anyone will hit that 25%, he looks the most likely. Labour Party has totally vanished in the North.

Tinubu is performing well in the North Central, dragging the North with Atiku, performing in Rivers, and South west is on lock down. He looks the likely winner here. Obi is performing so woefully in the North. His strength is the Eastern states, part of Rivers, Edo State and Abuja. He is also dragging Lagos.

With that statistics, no chance to become a Nigeria president as you need to cut across the 36 states.

I asked some people who they voted for as Senator and House of Rep. I was shocked that they responses were similar even as they did not know themselves.

They all said - I just thumb printed for any party.

I told them you have just ruined the changes you seek. Criminals will find their ways into the red and blue chambers. They will make laws that will favour them and cripple the presidency.

Very sad. We bungled it again!

In southeast up till 12:30pm there were no presence of Inec official in many poling unit which is an act of frustrating southeast poeple to chose who they want.

Even if you have a good president, these set of individuals can frustrate him, make laws that render him non functional and even impeach him. Sadly, most Nigerians do NOT even know who they are voting for. They just thumb print for any party.

That's not how the law works. His position is his opinion and is not valid on anyone except validated by a competent court.
The Act he's referring to is talking about the powers of CBN to issue notes. He simply stretched it to imply the CBN does not have the power to reduce volume of currency in circulation when it never said that.
By implication, he is also implying the cashless policy is illegal. You can't separate one from the other

He didnt say that CBN does not have the the power to reduce volume of currency in circuluation. He was referring to the currency redesign. He said what the law says was a SWAP and not CONFISCATION - which can be interpreted as when I give the bank my 500 naira note, give me back the new 500 naira note unless I give express instruction that such should be deposited into my bank. That is a SWAP.

But the CBN is taking money from people and creditting their account without express instruction from the customer to do that. That is no more a SWAP, that is CONFISCATION.

If CBN wants to reduce volume of currency in circulation, there are many financial instruments that can be leveraged on e.g bonds, treasury bills etc. Currency redesign is not legally permissible to be used as an instrument to reduce volume of currency in circulation according to the law.

He was not saying cashless policy is illegal; He is a lawyer and he was talking from the position of law. Law is an ass. Just a word can upend a case. By his training, he was looking for lacuna in what CBN did, and he was building his case. You can only fault his argument if you have a superior counter argument. If not, you accept his position as valid. This is how the law works.
