Good evening, i encourage you to ask questions before coming online with exaggerated figures. I have family members and friends at UK, rent for two bedroom flat at Cardiff was paid at 800 pounds last month (some people pay even lesser, these are houses that are well furnished).

At Sunderland, a friend pays 900 Pounds per month for a well furnished apartment. Someone i know made 6M+ a month and remits 1.5M every month for his building project here. UK is better if your paper is genuine and you are working. Students work only 20 hours every week but if you are not a student, you can work as your strength can carry you, thank you.

The irony of it is that a few months ago, you guys were defending Buhari's policy of defending the naira. Buhari changes to Tinubu and suddenly floating the naira is the best option. You guys lack principles.

Let me tell you simple and straight. No nation exists that does not manipulate its currency to suit its economy.

It's a fallacy to claim floating your currency is a one size fits all just as its a fallacy to claim defending it is the best. It's more a question of what we intend to achieve.

Tinubu floated the naira to achieve exchange rate convergence thinking it will strengthen the naira. Was he able to achieve that? Obviously No!!

Cardoso has done something I give him credit for on assuming office. He's been trying to collapse the parallel market by bringing everyone into the open market.

That's why he removed the prohibition list. Though that has dropped the naira value further but at least he has an idea what he's doing.

I wonder where he was when his principal floated the naira without any buffer to how the demand pull will react.

For me Cardoso's next big task is how to stabilise forex demand and supply. If that involves defending the naira, no qualms.

It's the result that justifies the means. You guys need to learn to study trends instead of just jumping to defend what you don't even understand.

Nigerian girls always prefer someone who already is established and has residence. Those ones too are mostly players so dem dey knack the desperate girls akpako.

In summary, go for citizens and if you're lucky you'll meet a Nigerian citizen who will love you for you.

Of course you should try to get your own residence and papers in case of "incasity".

I have been abroad for a while now and i am curious to know why some of our ladies decline dating or marrying fellow Nigerians in the diaspora. I have tried to date a few any they are often quick to assume i am after them for their papers while i just prefer my own, someone who understands my culture and where i have come from. Even when i try to date the ones that don't have paper, regular work visa holders like me. They seem to want to be with the guys that have papers.

Also, when i am old, i would like to return to Nigeria. Marrying outside would make that transition very difficult.

I study other races, Immigrant groups from India and Asia. they work together well, and don't have these difficulty.

Should i give up on being with a Nigerian or keep trying ?

People have bn migrating for years but the last 8 years made it more attractive to move, even for those doing well in naija...

When dollar was 150....an entry level doctor/Banker/soldier etc earning 120-150k may not even see the need to move....and that is just 1k dollars

Right now...how many entry level jobs even pay 300 dollars I.e. 300k naira and u expect people not to move to where their wealth is sure and preserved in a reasonable currency!?

Ur point of view is very one sided, what about the working conditions of the said doctors and their welfare. Nigerian health sector is not up to standard in terms of equipment and facilities to carry out the job and they're understaffed there by overworking doctors and under paying them. There's no incentive to practice in Nigeria if I can work in a better condition abroad and recieve higher pay while raising my family in a more saner clime as well where they can easily have a head start in their careers. U talking like a sadist, go and study medicine if u think it's easy and then work in the present condition of Nigerian hospital if you're serious about patriotism.
