Emmexguy123:Do you understand the billion in USD that has been sunk in Ukraine by the US. US is the biggest financier of Ukraine, followed by Germany. Every war is different. Russia is a nuclear armed nation and US can't send warship to the black sea. That will be hugely provocative to Russia. In war, you need to be emotionally intelligent. |
Babangidapikin:Hamas is fully being funded by Iran. |
Behappy2:US carrier group was not intended to strike Hamas. That will exacerbate the situation. It was meant to send signal to third parties nations that might want to take advantage of the situation, most importantly, Iran. |
Treasure17:Mohbad might be high on drug and the injections might react against the drug. Quack nurse never carried out any test, she just administered the injection like she used to. She will be responsible for everything on the ground of manslaughter. That is the maximum she can get. |
advanceDNA:Did you actually have the data to watch over one hour of video? |
This guy always striking the right chord. Where are the other Ministers? They ought to be outdoing themselves in good things. |
nlfpmod:Sheffield Hallam University has cheaper tuition fee compared to Sheffield University, and HEAVILY dominated by Nigerians. Voting for Nigerians become easy. You will hardly see a Caucasian in some of the classes. It is fast becoming another extension of Nigeria Uni. |
Dyfynezz12:Have you ever been to the States in your lifetime? |
PoliteActivist:They will only prosecute the American lady if she Knowingly go into an arranged marriage. In this case, she didn't knowingly go into it, she later discovered it was a scam. She can't be prosecuted but Kess will be banned for life from entering the United States without an option of a waiver. |
That Kess is such a big fool. He has kissed North America bye bye for the rest of his life. Fraudulent marriage has no pardon in the states and no way he will get Canada visa ever too. He cheated in a silly way on a lady that could set him up in a good way. What will Christy o offer him? He doesn't know what hit him yet. |
7demons:Stop chest beating like a Chimpazee |
erico2k2:Western world has better infrastructure but security you are talking about is debatable. You have higher chance of getting shot in the US than in Nigeria. Like i said, look at your own situation and make an informed judgement. Some people are better off travelling out while some need to stay put in Nigeria. There is no blanket rule to everything. However, know that a lizard in Nigeria will not automatically turn to a crocodile abroad; a lizard will always be a lizard irrespective of where it is placed. |
Rostikol:Well said. It's all about perspective. If a Nigerian living in Nigeria tells a white person he has a house and a car, the white thinks he is in debt and paying mortgage and monthly finance . If someone abroad tells a Nigerian he has a house and car, he feels he owns it outrightly. What represents success in both climes are different. It's only in Nigeria you own things outrightly while in the western world, it's a culture of debt. At the end of the day, individuals will choose what they want but in life, for every successful story, there are thousands of untold depressing stories. You can't be unskilled and think you can afford monthly financing on Benz in the UK. How much is even your monthly income? Don't generalise success - it is unique and peculiar to individual depending on many factors . Carefully make your own choice |
NLC and TUC have eventually gone mad. They simply want to bury the country under inflation. |
ebiye55:All for financial inducement. He's also attempting to sound nice to Obi to gain more money. No be Dele Momodu again? That has been his usual.trend |
When last has Deke Momodu made any sense. Subtle attempt to make money from Atiku, pretending like a loyalist. |
Atiku and Obi should stop embarrassing Nigeria. This is getting out of hands. |
I will support regulation of the social media by the Govt. Why the desperation by Atiku and Obi, embarrassing the Nation they desperately wish to serve It must be on record, neither of them will EVER serve as President in this country. |
This guy - David Hundeyin - will certainly end up like Nnamdi Kanu - shackled and subdued |
If Judiciary is truly independent, Atiku will be cooling his heels in prison. Was he not the same individual that Obasanjo called a thief in his book? |
yjgm:What did she actually do? |
Kingsnairaland:Judge of Nairaland, well done |
jaeyking:Your submission was contradictory. For a place to be expensive does not translate to getting value for money. Each country pays according to the inflation rate in that country. If Nigeria pays the wages as currently obtainable in the UK, for instance, inflation will kill Nigerians. If UK pays the wages as obtainable in Nigeria, they will die of penury. |
iwaeda:It has always been like this for few years now, even during the administration of buhari. It's called level 3. The op was being mischievous to report it as if the DoS just said it. |
AfonjaConehead:The other two are the businessmen Adetunji Adebayo and Mohammed Kuchazi. |
Eniitankorede:It is just very sad. Profiting from the misfortune of your own country. I can bet the lawyer must have intentionally created loopholes in the contract for the company to exploit, so that they can claim damages even when they did NOT do any job. And the Minister just signed without reviewing the contract. Very pathetic |
Nigeria signed a contract with a foreign company P&ID to help in the processing of its gas. Grace Taiga, the petroleum ministry’s former head lawyer, worked on the wordings of the contract and made the then Petroleum Minister, late Rilwanu Lukman, under the administration of Musa Yaradua to sign the multi billion contract. Under the contract, Nigeria was to supply the wet gas for 20 years and P & ID was to process it. P & ID never fulfilled its own part of the deal and Nigeria never supplied the wet gas. P&ID took Nigeria to an arbitration pabel, claimed that Nigeria has wronged it. The panel awarded the cost of 6.6billion USD against Nigeria with a daily interest of 1.3million USD during the Buhari administration. Buhari refused to pay and appeal to the UK High Court. It was later discovered that Grace Taiga that worded the contract had collected 10k USD from the co-founder of P&ID and she would even benefit financially to the tune of 200k to 500k USD if Nigeria pays the damages!. She first denied this amount in a sworn affidavit before admitting in high court and she just called it a "gift". There are other 2 Nigerians who acted as middle men, who will be entitled to 1.3Billion USD and 340million USD, if Nigeria pays the company the damages. The UK high court has finished hearing the case in March this year. The damage to be paid by Nigeria has risen to 11billion USD. Nigeria is claiming that the contract was fraudulently signed, and Grace Ataiga collecting money from the company was a pointer to the scam. One analyst stated that "The story of how a small offshore company with no meaningful track record, no website, and only a handful of employees managed to win a multibillion-dollar gas contract raises red flags for corruption that call for careful scrutiny" and another analyst says that paying the damage "may take us back to the pre-1999 military era, when Nigeria wasn’t creditworthy". This is a sad tale of Nigerians selling off their country for financial gains. Nigeria is waiting for the judgement https://www.aljazeera.com/features/2023/9/22/revealed-ex-nigerian-govt-official-to-share-in-11bn-gas-scandal-damages |
Curious345:Cynic spotted. Can you ever be pleased? Peter Obi? To change Nigeria the way he changed Anambra to Dubai? |
I detest this Iyabo Ojo with passion. She should channel the same energy to shape her delinquent daughter |
UnfairLife7:You see why i detest dedicating my time to have an intellectual discourse with you. You have a knack of misrepresenting facts. See your misrepresentation in bolded again. Either you travel or not is not my business. You are just dreaming of travelling. You do not know a thing about me. I wish you best of luck in your pursuit of traveling abroad, where you will buy that land and build that house within a year. |
UnfairLife7:Let me educate you. Number 1 : When you have not been to a place, your experience is gotten through someone else experience or through reading. You cannot intelligently argue with someone that has lived there. You have not. You need to get there to form your own experience. Number 2 - I detest it when I am quoted out of context. I never mentioned that most people that travel are into crimes. I said most people that build edifices in prime area in Nigeria, especially within short period of time are most probable to go into crime. Western environment is not designed for you to be wealthy. Just to be average, live and die. Number 3 - You said within a year, someone should be able to buy a land and build a house. I do not know how to explain this to you. If you had travelled even for a visit, you will understand. Number 4 - You wrote that 1 to 5 dollar is useless to people living abroad. Your inexperience about travelling shows again. Every cent counts because it is made with sweat and blood most times. You simply dont get it. You have mentioned in one of your thread that you have never seen a white man begging for money before. I just smiled. Your inexperience about traveling always shows. Do you even realise some people in the US cannot feed themselves and they have to depend on food given to their children in school? You are talking about Universities. You just turn it upside down. Do you realise that some of their citizens do not go to University because they cannot afford it, and they do not want to be indebted by taking student loans? Formal Education is not meant for everyone. You need to pay for the true worth of earning education. If you cannot afford it, go and do something else with your life. You do not want citizens to pay the true worth of education but you want universities like Harvard in Nigeria. How ironic! Do you think University Education is cheap for their own citizens? Your write up is littered with your inexperience about traveling, and with this expectations you have, I am genuinely afraid for you. |
Skyview01:I saw you typed out "Mercedez benz" and I referred to it. That security guard that came with 2022 Honda Accord which was bought on his way to work bought a fairly used car which will be financed. He needs to meet up with monthly repayment, His debt portfolio has just expanded. If a Nigerian buys a car, he owns it outrightly 90% of the time. So for a Nigerian who has never travelled hearing story like this, he thinks that is how easy he will be buying car. Always state the repayment side of the story. Always tell them they dont pay for it outrightly. That way , they will understand the culture of debts over there as compared to Nigeria. That is a balanced way of presenting things not to mislead people into having superficial expectations. |

Can you make it big so much that you can drive on our roads no pot holes? or can you make it that large in Nigeria that your basic needs are met at your point of needs?
