Xisnin: Yeah, they are so sophisticated that 50% of them voted for Gandollar the open thief. If the Kano electorate valued integrity over party, the result won't have been that close. At least they actually voted. In some regions in Nigeria, few people vote and results are written by corrupt politicians guarded by terrorists aka ex-militants. |
Politics › Re: Dangote, Emir Sanusi, Kano Elders Meet Over Inconclusive Kano Election by mu2sa2: 1:54pm On Mar 13, 2019*. Modified: 2:12pm On Mar 13, 2019 |
The "rumour" about not allowing Ganduje to destroy kano is obviously false. The good thing about Kano people, though, is that they are the most politically sophisticated electorate in Nigeria. Nine or so FM stations, with 2 airing only political programs, serve kano city. With radio as an indispensable companion of an average hausa man, it is easy to discern why there is very high political awareness and voter turnout in kano (and North generally). A voter may vote Buhari, pdp in senatorial, Apc in reps and pdp in governorship elections - that's how they vote over there, and no violence unless somebody tries to do mago- mago. |

GeoSilYe: Ahan this woman that was promoted, paid for her honesty, given a lot of gifts, moved from her one room apartment and had interviews across different radio stations in Lagos came out to say that she wasn't remembered or a given a dime?!
I know her personally oh, let her not say this rubbish.
Na wa oh.
I need to show my people this.
What kind of lie is this?
She has finally finished everything given to her and now is looking for more. When people were helping her in MMIA she didn't remember anybody after she "blew" now she wants to remain relevant and Nigerians as usual have donated to her again!
This one weak me. I don't think giving her something now is wrong. Every day we see beggars on the street and give them something , even though we're not obliged to do so. The 1k daddyfreeze is pleading for is peanuts to most of us, but it adds up to something big. |

kenny714433: That my preferred candidate won didn't make the just concluded election a lesser show of shame. The process didn't only put the lives of the electorate on the line, it also aided thugs imposing a candidate on the people. My solutions. *Just like everyone's bank account is linked via BVN, the voters card should be synchronized to enable one voter, one card. *The PVC should be upgraded to have an electronic chip just like our ATM card. *A mobile electronic booth with large screen which should be sensitive to the thumb print should be designed and the machine should recognize the voter's thumb print *NIN, Nat. ID card, bank details and every certificate should carry same information which will be made possible by the thumb print. Benefits..... *The country will have data bank of every citizen *Crime detection will be possible because of thumb print technology. *Election rigging will be reduced to its barest minimum. *The issue of certificate forgery, age reduction, and many more vices will be checked. Mobile electronic booth with large screen - this won't solve any problem. A single stone from a thug is enough to take out the screen and the election will be back to square one. |

seunfly: You can repeat that, the worst thing is that he ruled the state with iron hands without any tangible achievement. When people are talking about Tinubu, I just excuse their ignorance, even though Tinubu hold Lagos but Lagos is delivering good things unlike kwara where there is nothing to show for it except Saraki's deep pocket. GBAM! Under Tinubu as godfather, Lagos has been making tremendous strides in development. This is an undeniable fact. In 16 years of Saraki hegemony kwara state has been on the reverse in every sector. Can you imagine that not one single primary or secondary school has been built by govt in these years. The good schools Bukola and his gang met on ground are All in a mess today - there is no single public primary or secondary school in good condition in all of kwara state. |

After some few weeks he lodge a complaint but they couldn't provide the money back. That's how 15k disappear GTB precisely,
Had it been its substantial amount of money i would hav follow him to bank. Nevertheless all these Nigerian banks ar not reliable UBA usually resolve issues like this quickly. But from experience always use the bank's application to transfer money. I normally contact them via Facebook and customer care phone line - they respond quickly. |

Politics › Re: Udom Watches As 540mw Power Plant In Akwa Ibom Will Be Used To Power Kano by mu2sa2: 7:57pm On Mar 03, 2019 |
The power plant is privately owned and kano has offered to bulk buy the power produced. Simple. Akwa Ibom can buy electricity from private investors but floating an airline, an ego trip, is the governor's priority, not providing electricity. The terrorist that is talking blowing up the power plant should know that if that should happen kano loses nothing, they will buy electricity elsewhere and Akwa Ibom is the loser in terms of jobs and taxes. |

Very sensible advice, but politicians won't hear this because they believe they can still carry they day by buying the judges. The politicians know the rot in the judiciary and will definitely try to exploit it, as many of them have done before. |
