Pipeline vandalization was seen as a testament to Jonathan 's in competence. While is it an excuse for this government. Besides, ABUJA, Kano, Kaduna etc are not power by gas plant. Why is power generation in such area badhuh?
So to you Gej was super competent in governance. That's a good selling point for a second term.

Power distribution was fairly okay during Jonathan. At least were I live, power was available for about 22hours. Not any more, even when fashola was telling lies about increase in generation, we were having serious outage. The people of Turkey should be commended even admire. Here in Nigeria, while majority of buhari supporters will be from Muslims in the north, the southern part will go about as nothing had happened. Some will even rationalize it.
How can you have power when you people are destroying the gas pipelines supplying the power stations? You people think you are discrediting pmp administration by sabotaging oil/gas facilities but you are infact inflicting hardship on yourseves.

The reason Nigerians won't put up a resistance like this is not that we are timid, but it is because nobody wants to waste his life for politicians.

Politics › Re: Why Is Tinubu So Powerful? by mu2sa2:
Tinubu is gifted in his ability to get things done by putting the right people in positions to do the job. The guy himself is not a saint but he surrounds himself with great minds. Just look at his political associates - you cant doubt their competence. When he was governor political appointees were carefully picked based largely on ability to deliver. When obasanjo withheld federal allocation to Lagos for over 1year, that turned out to be a blessing in disguise for the state to re-strategize and shore up its IGR - thanks to Tinubu. Tinubu plotted the defeat of Gej in 2015 election and even now may be surreptitiously manipulating the destruction of pdp. The guy is a master strategist - and there lies his power.

Christianity Etc › Re: Eunice Olawale’s Murder: Imam Who Ordered Youths To Chase Woman Away Arrested by mu2sa2:
Supposing a Muslim went to a church premises with a voice amplifier and began preaching, would that not amount to provocation? This woman set out to provoke Muslims and the imam did the least he could do by asking that she should be told to leave. The imam acted civilly and within his legal rights. The woman had no right to be disturbing people in the name of preaching. But the boys went too far by resorting to stoning, which resulted in her death, though they may not have intended to kill her. If they had acted more circumspectedly by, say, landing a few hot flashes on her cheeks that would have sufficed and she would have learnt her lesson and never return to propagate her mischief there again.

Culture › Re: Olofa Stool: How Supreme Court Judgment Altered A Community's History by mu2sa2: 2:28pm On Jul 10, 2016
The supreme court judgment is curious, not to say wrong. The 1970 gazette re-affirmation of two ruling houses in Offa was set aside by the supreme in order to give victory to oba gbadamosi and ensure that the olugbense house are debarred forever. The issue of olugbense being a ruling house has been settled since 1970 and anilelerin house never contested it. Well, everyone knows that oba gbadamosi, apart from being a wealthy guy, is also well-connected and maybe had access (or almost certainly knows people who do) to the justices who delivered this warped decision. Olugbense should take heart, for they never know how the Ultimate Judge will descend in this grand perversion of justice - after all nobody can bribe the Almighty.
Politics › Re: "Why Past Governors, Ministers Stole So Much" - James Bawa Magaji by mu2sa2:
sweetgala:
Very well spoken I must say. He addressed some pressing issues that even swayed my opinions somewhat.

I have always argued that many of the states are illogical and we may have to merge states but when you realise that the many minority ethnic groups in Nigeria are best served by this system. When the old regional system was at play, the Fulani with some Hausa dominated the North , the Central Yoruba peoples of Ogun, Oyo , Osun dominated the South West and the animosity between Igbos on who is 1st class etc continues till today.

So rather than balkanise what we need is to reorganize the centre in a more efficient manner.

I've never listened to idiots who shout federalism or restructuring because from their weak arguments you can conclude they read the topic on a news paper and have little to no clue of what the ideals truly entail
Very good insight. Nigeria is full of hypocrites. It is obvious that it is not the number of states that is the issue, but corruption and mismanagement. Imagine someone saying we should go back to the problematic regionalism! Those mouthing resource control are just brainless, because the thieves pocketing 13% derivation now will simply do the same with 100%. If today you stop the private impoundment of public money you are going to see a big difference. Sadly, the thieves have brainwashed so many and diverted attention away from their massive looting of the treasury. A typical Ijaw, for example, is made to believe that his/her region is mired in dehumanizing poverty because of lack of so-called resource control! And the brain washers are busy looting billions without caring a hoot about developing the region.

Politics › Re: Kwara Youths Shout "Ole" At Government House In Kwara (Video) by mu2sa2:
There is a high level of anger in kwara state against Bukola saraki political group. That is why they all avoided this year's eid prayers along New Yidi Road, something that has never happened before. In fact the prayers were hurriedly held around 8am instead of the usual 10-11am, because of the fear that there would be another stoning incident. And there would have been from all indications because people were said to have gathered stones in the expansive eid praying ground to stone "the satan".
Local govt workers and pensioners have not been paid at all in 2016 - that's 6 months, despite the fact that allocations from the federation account have been collected. The widespread belief is that Saraki, through his "boy" governor Ahmed, has had a large chunk of the money given to him to pay his lawyers on the ground that the senate president position is not for him but for Kwarans. As a parting gift in their grand thievery, Saraki has ordered governor Ahmed to raise a 20 billion naira bond ( sometimes Ahmed would claim it's 10 billion naira) to be used for so-called infrastructure development. Saraki himself had taken 30 billion naira bond in his second term as governor - the money was largely squandered, with the present governor as finance commissioner.
It is believed that the people in this video were part of a larger group who planned the failed stoning at the eid praying ground. Perhaps they wanted to carry out the stoning of the governor at govt house!
Crime › Re: Nigerian Prison Where Inmates Pay Between N30k To N100k To Use phones & ipad by mu2sa2: 6:54am On Jul 10, 2016
MisterPresident:
The condition of prisons in Nigeria maybe terrible but there's some good side to this.

Prisons are meant to rehabilitate inmates, but because most countries does not have the necessary personnel and equipment for this, it is not possible. Moreover, there is little proof that even well-equipped prisons can rehabilitate an inmate.

So this harsh treatment serves as a form of rehabilitation. At least when u remember how difficult it was in prison, you should be discouraged from doing the things that put you in there in the first place.

In places like US, some people will rather live in prison than as a free man because they are treated well. Imagine that.
So to you sodomy, lack of medical care, extortion and other crimes committed against prison inmate inside prison is rehabilitation? Pray that you never find yourself in prison. Don't say you are not a criminal because you may fall a victim of our warped criminal justice system like some innocent people who are framed up and languishing in the hell holes called prisons in nigeria.

This is how "dilector" was bragging on air, threatening to exterminate nigeria but intelligence officers lured him to Nigeria and captured him so easily like a goat. Kanu is on the way to spending the rest the rest of his miserable life in gashua or other prison. This nincompoop spewing rubbish on video will soon join his "dilector" - trust the dss; they have been so efficient in dealing with ipob miscreants. The child that denies its mother sleep will itself endure sleeplessness. May God continue to bless the federal republic of nigeria and shame the troublemakers.

Let Bukola Saraki use just a fraction of the money he looted from kwara state treasury when he was governor to establish recreational centres in his hometown. Almost all of these people troop to shoprite just for sightseeing, because there's nowhere else to go for recreation in a town that has been a state capital since 1966!
