Op's observation may be plausible , but these days many people would rather believe fiction than accept the truth. If a "prophet" or some self-anointed fellow were to attribute the phenomena to demons or witches, gullible people would readily hail the crook as "man of god"!

There is a bit of a dilemma here: Pdp who are condemning change, will they shun change and opt for continuity? And Apc who are shouting change, will they jetisson change and opt for continuity?
Car Talk › Re: How Do You Verify Prices When Your Mech Gives You A List Worth 70k by mu2sa2: 2:34pm On Jun 19, 2016
Op made the mistake many people make when choosing a workman. Basically, there are 3 types of workmen: 1. the one who knows his work and is honest; 2. the one who knows his work but is dishonest; 3. the one who hardly knows his work but is honest. Now, which one do you choose? Of course number 1 straight. But sometimes no.1 may not be available, so we are left with numbers 2 and 3. To get your car fixed the workman must know his onions - on this premise choose number 2 and monitor him closely so that he doesn't fleece you. Op, like many people will do, kept changing mechanic apparently looking for the virtually illusive Mr Honest. What he should have looked out for is a competent one who can do the job. You can tackle a fraudster by keeping a close eye on him/her. My advice is, get a competent mechanic and keep him/her even if he exhibits dishonest tendencies before. But make sure s/he knows that you are a smart person who can not be taken for a ride easily.

Our bane in this country is poor maintenance culture. Let's hope the govt has put measures in place to ensure the hospital doesn't become an eyesore in just a few years.

Democracy Nigeria style: If you out-rig your opponent, you "win"; you out-gun you rival, you "win" the damn election; you bribe the electoral officers, they declare you the winner. Now, if makarfi and his gang "out-thug" sheriff's group, democracy nigeriana will come to play and your guess is good as mine.

Business › See Women Facing Death Everyday (photo) by mu2sa2(op):
I snapped these shots recently while in ilorin, capital of kwara state, near Federal High Court. The street cleaner in this pic is one of the many women employed by kwara state government to keep the streets clean. But the women are not provided with "sweepers-at-work" signs or even reflective jackets thereby exposing them to the risk of being knocked down by vehicles. A couple of them have infact reportedly lost their lives courtesy of careless drivers. Poor women! They have to risk their precious lives for 8k monthly salary.

Lol it is expected No Free money, TSA, Oil revenue drop, most politicians prefer keeping 100% cash at home now. cool
Keeping huge cash at home is risky. Bukola Saraki has only a few days ago had 300 million naira disappear from the vaults at his ilorin home. Though the money was most certainly got dubiously, but the incident highlights the risks involved in trying to dodge the effc's prying eyes, which is easier with a bank account, and instead keep the money at home.
Politics › Re: Crack In Militants Camp Widens by mu2sa2:
All the fg needs to do is cause confusion among these self-serving terrorists and set them against themselves. Things are taking shape in this regard, though. The criminal elements will hunt themselves down and in the end the suffering masses of niger delta will breath a sigh of relief. But, to move forward, niger delta people must find a way to get selfless , committed and visionary individuals to lead them at all levels of governance.

Ilorin airport is tagged "international" because it is used during the hajj period for direct flights to saudi Arabia. Apart from hajj period no international flights take place there.

Must we be together? Is there anything sacrosant about Nigeria being one country? Why must I remain in a marriage that I don't even want?

I wrote a piece something ago on this forum that every region going their separate ways will bring better development to each of the regions.

We are better staying apart. When we are apart, the north will be happy, the yorubas will be happy, biafran will be happy, Niger Delta will be happy and Middle belt will be happy.

We are happy separated, we are sad forced together.
Must you force peace- loving, hardworking itsekiri, urhobo and others to form a country with lazy ne'er-do-well, criminal- minded people who are destroying themselves now and will never develop left to themselves?

they won't sell themselve, it would be voluntary!
The point is, the leaders who are stealing the billions accruing to states of the Niger delta now are not going to stop. They are stealing 13% derivation now and will steal 100% if it comes their way. You cannot have thieves, terrorists, kidnappers, cultists, and all sorts of criminals holding sway and expect development. That, sadly, is the reality of nd.

You are a joker - you think urhobo, itsekiri and others will sell themselves to criminals and terrorists.
Food › Re: 91.1% Of Tomato Pastes In Nigeria Are Fake by mu2sa2:
This statement should be taken with a pinch of salt. Nafdac, not these tomato manufacturing companies, certifies imported tomatoes. These companies are only trying to discredit the imported stuff, maybe with the aim of getting them banned. Even the ones they themselves are producing are inferior to fresh tomatoes. What if tomatoe farmers begin their own campaign that processed tomatoes by Dangote, erisco and Savannah can cause cancer?

A little Perseverance Mr Dickson. The avengers are on their way to rescue Bayelsa.

By the time they're through with bombing every every, money will appear.

Just allow them finish dealing with buhari and Tinubu first.
These terrorists are living in their mist; they are not spirits. The 13% derivation is based on onshore production. Let them allow the criminals called nda reduce production to zero barrel in the state and the state will end up getting zero naira as derivation!
Phones › Re: How To Recover Your Stolen Or Lost Phone In 24 Hours Without Spending A Dime by mu2sa2: 6:15am On Jun 10, 2016
How do you retrieve the phone in nigeria? This can only work in technologically advanced countries. In Nigeria even if the phone is located, you may never get it back because if you report to the police there isn't a guarantee that they will do anything about it or their usual demand may put you off. Besides, many stolen phones are just dismantled and parts sold piecemeal. Again, in some phones the imei number can be tweaked.

HE USED HIS RELIGIOUS OPPORTUNITIES TO MARRY MANY WIVES...LUCKILY BECAUSE OF HIS WEALTH THERE WERE NO ALMAJIRIS LIKE THE ONES THAT FOLLOW MAMMALS AROUND
Why do you guys like twisting facts? When did Muhammad Ali "marry many wives"? His first wife left him because he accepted Islam. He had to remarry and this one divorced him citing "his infidelities". He wedded another woman, and she remained his wife for over 30 years - until his death. At no time was Ali married to more than one woman nor did he divorce his wife -they left him. You may not like the religion he chose for himself but his faith is none of your business. All his life Ali chose truth over falsehood, kindness over wickedness, open-mindedness over bigotry, confidence over fear - anchored on faith in Allah. He lived and died a quintessential Muslim.

Car Talk › Re: Motorists Stop To Allow Cattle In Abuja Cross A Major Road by mu2sa2:
You shouldn't be surprised to hear that those cows are owned by a big shot in government. The owner may not necessarily be Hausa or fulani. I was in a big town in south west and saw a fulani herdsmen with his cattle in gra part of the town. I asked the fulani man why he didn't set up his camp outside the town and to my surprise he answered that the owner of the cattle insisted that he brings the animals home every day. The owner couldn't have been hausa/ fulani. Some of the fulani herdsmen you see in various parts of the country are hired to look after the cattle of their igbo/yoruba/hausa etc employers.
