Politics › Re: 10,000 Jobless Amnesty Beneficiaries Return To Creeks by mu2sa2: 11:24am On Jun 21, 2013
Soldiers now in the north east should be redeployed to the niger delta. People of NE can and will handle boko haram without the soldiers, but the people of the niger delta will not deal with the terrorists in their midst out of criminal complicity.
Politics › Re: Traders Arrest Six Armed ‘Boko-Haram’ Gunmen In Maiduguri by mu2sa2:
Counterinsurgency can never be won with guns and armoured vehicles. That's why even with the guns and tanks plus one trillion naira budget at their disposal, jtf failed. JTF went to NE and targeted the ordinary people instead of working with them to fight boko haram. And both jtf and boko haram become the murderers of innocent people.
The ordinary people want to live their normal lives free from violence perpetrated by both soldiers and boko haram. And this is what they are doing now. Very soon the people will restore peace to their communities and these soldiers and boko haram will have to leave them to carry on their normal lives. God help them.

Islam › Re: Another Baby Born With Quran In Lagos by mu2sa2: 1:59pm On Jun 20, 2013
When will they stop this shenanigan. And it is always from the south west that this kind of trash comes from. Islam is a religion of scholarship and knowledge - these ignorant people should stop imitating those who hoodwink the gullible with "miracles" to get converts.
Food › Re: Dangers Of Consuming Genetically Modified Foods by mu2sa2: 1:57pm On Jun 20, 2013
I have always suspected meat products. That's why I dont eat "agric" poultry - if I want to eat chicken I go for the local breed, they taste good and are healthier. Even beef - nothing in this world will make me buy all this imported frozen beef.

Politics › Re: Nigeria Drops Charges Against Russian Arms Suspects by mu2sa2: 6:41pm On Jun 19, 2013
These Russians imported arms to Nigeria but will go scot-free. Meanwhile the Iranian who's arms were on transit to Gambia, legitimately imported by Gambian govt, is languishing in jail. Hail Nigeria judiciary/ FG!
Politics › Re: Boko-Haram: Girl Identifies Parents’ Killer In Maiduguri by mu2sa2: 10:47am On Jun 17, 2013
hugafella: What's the relationship btw Boko Haram and MEND? MEND had/has a cause to fight for but Boko Haram is an out-and-out Terrorist group. There is no excuse for slitting someone's throat in the name of any useless god. How many northern Muslims have been slaughtered in the south by MEND? So please, Musa, never you make such comparisons.
Keep deceiving urself. In 2015 as gej who`s funding and protecting these terrorists called mend checks out of aso rock u will see how mend will be dealt with.
Politics › Re: Gov. Obi Launches N300m Road Project In Onitsha. by mu2sa2: 10:33am On Jun 17, 2013
Chimeluv: He is about leave office and he suddenly remembers the bad roads in onitsha. I hope he compietes it before he leaves office.
You can say that again. Even without a kobo embezzled (certainly not in nigeria)what road project will he accomplish with 300m?
Politics › Re: FG To Upgrade 19 Rail Tracks To Standard Gauge by mu2sa2: 10:15am On Jun 17, 2013
When a politician preface his statement with "we intend to ..." you know everything that follows is hot air. Nigeria!
Politics › Re: Jonathan Asks Governors To Sign Death Warrants Of Condemned Criminals by mu2sa2:
This death sentence thing is a bit complicated in nigeria.
When a court sentences a person to death under state law, the convict can only be executed if the state gov signs his death warrant. Many state governors, even during military regime, dont sign the death warrant for whatever reason. This explains why the prisons hav a huge population of these convicts. There is also a dearth of executioners, so even the convicts whose death warrants hav been signed are still there because there's no hangman. Sometime ago someone said there's only one hangman in nigeria who was even due to retire.
Politics › Re: Boko-Haram: Girl Identifies Parents’ Killer In Maiduguri by mu2sa2: 9:28pm On Jun 16, 2013
What a coincidence! In kaduna state a JSS 1 hausa girl recognized her history teacher as the person who came to their house to kill her father in Zonkwa during the ethno/religious crises that engulfed southern kaduna. She stated that the teacher said to her "sorry, so he is your father" before striking the innocent fellow dead. Sadly, the commission of enquiry before which she gave evidence in kaduna refused to summon the alleged murderer on the spurious ground that it was only a fact-finding body. Many muslims accused the commission of bias.
Will these girls ever get over the trauma?

The people of the north have at last risen to confront their common enemy, boko haram. let's hope the people of niger delta will also summon courage to confront MEND bandits.

Foreign Affairs › Re: Hassan Rouhani Is Iran's Next President by mu2sa2: 3:48pm On Jun 16, 2013
Mopolchi: How does it affect the nigerian situation? Any way 1st to comment.
We learn from the way the election was conducted - a whopping 73% turnout of 50m voters, no ballot box snatching, no voter molestation by security personnel, no thuggery, no rigging. Clean election- free and fair, free from fear. This election is even more transparent than US election.
Politics › Re: Iran's Hezbollah Supports Terrorism In Nigeria? by mu2sa2: 3:33pm On Jun 16, 2013
El-zakzaky has been around with his group since the 1980s. It's nonsensical for anybody to try to link him with terrorism now. Yes, he is a fiery speaker, always attacking corruption in govt. Of course politicians will always find a way to silence anybody like that. All this talk about iranian funding is fabricated by US and Isreali intelligence who are trying to destabilize nigeria. In any case many religious groups in nigeria , xtian and muslim, receive money from abroad - why are they not labelled terrorists? FG is still grapling with boko haram and they are trying to open another front so that they will continue to budget a trillion naira for "defence"! God rescue nigeria.
Christianity Etc › Re: Psalm 23 In Pidgin by mu2sa2: 2:13pm On Jun 16, 2013
Pidgin is a most picturesque language. I wonder why it's not recognized as a No.2 official language or even No.1, since virtually everyone speaks or understands it, even stark illiterates.
As for rendering the Bible in pidgin, some conservatives might think it's trivializing the words - this may be true because somethings are better said in pidgin in the jocular sense.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Obama's Trip To Africa Comes With A Hefty Price Tag (extra Security, Etc). by mu2sa2: 1:58pm On Jun 16, 2013
osymerga: How can one kill the american president if one wants to,with all this security details ? How possible can it be ? Just wondering.....
The US president doesn't stay perpetually in the car. Let's not forget that Indira Ghandhi, one time Indian PM, was killed by one of her special body guards. I suppose all this security is for show or to discourage would-be terrorists.

Politics › Re: MEND Attacked The Petrol-Tankers At Abuja NNPC Depot by mu2sa2: 1:03pm On Jun 16, 2013
We have been saying it on this forum that MEND poses greater security risk than boko haram. Boko haram never had support on the ground, unlike MEND which is infact been used by the powers that be to intimidate the country. The chickens are coming home to roost.
Politics › Re: Nigeria 14th Least Peaceful Country by mu2sa2: 12:50pm On Jun 16, 2013
Peace is a state of mind. You can live in a place and feel peaceful inspite of what's happening around you. For example somebody in maiduguri may feel it's more peaceful than say port harcourt or onitsha, because he would rather live with jtf/boko haram violence in Maiduguri than perpetually engage in hide and seek with armed robbers, ritual killers and kidnappers in port harcourt or onitsha.

Politics › Re: Nigerians Have Lost Core Values Of Life – Jonathan by mu2sa2:
See hypocrisy! This guy lied and lied in 2011 and you voted massively for him. So whatever he says now is in order because he is behaving true to type. If in 2011 you all had voted for the presidential candidates who have established reputation for integrity, honesty and forthrightness nigeria wouldn't be in this quagmire. As you lay your bed so you lie on it.
Politics › Re: Shout-out To "Civilian JTF" In Borno by mu2sa2: 7:12am On Jun 14, 2013
Borno elders must be commended for this initiative. This "civilian jtf" is the creation of Borno locals, not Gej or FG. The good people of Borno represented by the elders had called on FG to withdraw JTF, saying they hav the capacity to return peace to Borno. The elders are now vindicated. These civilians are catching suspects without weapons- something jtf couldn't do successfully even with heavily armoured vehicles at their disposal.
The boko haram crises has once again proven the futility of violence. Mohammed Yusuf started Boko haram in 2002. They went about their preaching activities peacefully until 2009 when ex-gov sheriff started using police to kill bh boys for political reasons. Boko haram responded by arming themselves.
When it became obvious that police could not contain bh, FG intervened with JTF.
Violence escalated. Boko haram were killing; jtf was killing. Ordinary people bore the brunt of the violence unleashed by boko haram terrorists and indisciplined, often drunken jtf men. Until the State emergency was declared jtf killed more innocent people than boko haram.
Violence is an ill-wind. This crises would not hav escalated if it had been handled imaginatively.
I just hope that this civilian jtf is handled carefully so that it doesn't turn out to be another monster. MEND, Bakassi boys, OPC etc all started like this.
Politics › Re: Over 60 Alleged Boko-Haram Killed In Maiduguri by mu2sa2:
We have said it before in this forum that military force alone can not end the violence in the north east. All the bloodshed since 2009 would hav been avoided if the jtf had not joined bh in the wanton killing of innocent people. Now that the military hav realised their mistake peace is in sight. These boys are catching suspects without difficulty, something jtf could not do with all their arms. Caution should however be the watch word so that things do not degenerate into witch hunt and score-settling. Any suspect nabbed must be accorded his full rights under the law because the military cannot be the accuser, the judge and executioner at the same time.
Agriculture › Re: Groundnut Pyramids In Kano In The 1960's by mu2sa2: 8:18pm On Jun 10, 2013
Rossikk: Firstly, even without 'pyramids' Nigeria is fourth in global peanut production, after China, India and the United States.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peanut

Second, stop this unnecessary nostalgia. Nations are moving beyond dependence on exporting raw commodities and cash crops. The emphasis now is on value-addition. You add value to your raw materials by innovation and manufacturing, and yield far higher returns when you sell the products at home and abroad, helping to boost local incomes, economic activity, and employment.

Instead of loading up raw peanuts in pyramids for export, create industries close to this source that manufacture stuff from peanuts:

''Paint, varnish, lubricating oil, leather dressings, furniture polish, insecticides, and nitroglycerin are made from peanut oil. Soap is made from saponified oil, and many cosmetics contain peanut oil and its derivatives.''

This is what we should be doing with our raw materials. Adding value.
But you must first have the groundnut before you add value to it. So let the pyramids return and value addition will follow.
Politics › Re: Cleric Calls For Christian Governor In Lagos State Elections by mu2sa2: 8:17am On Jun 10, 2013
There is likely a politician using this cleric to test the waters. After all most xtians voted for gej in 2011 because they were told to do so by their church. Folarin is just repeating the same blunder.

daz_york is a comedian, maybe. Even in jest it's preposterous to talk of leveling a place like Maiduguri.

HAH: Unguarded statement , GEJ should ask USA after bragging to crush Taliban in 90 days today they are in their 12th year and having negotiations.

Gurriella war is very difficult to winn and has never been crushed in history

Wish them luck though.
Good observation, bro. Counterinsurgency is a most difficult war, as NATO Afghanistan experience has shown. Gej's order is a clueless political statement.
