Lets reason it along; if Honor Killing is truly Islamic why is there NO Qur'anic verse or Prophetic tradition that in whatsoever sensible way support it? That hadeeth you brought, Aloy.Emeka, is phenomenally talking about something else. . .but you shamelessly enough fail to see that plain truth. Yet you are proudly under a frayed facade attributing it to Honor Killing. How unfair of you?

I challenge you to bring fourth any prove supporting your allegation. . .if you fail, then you are just being saying horse shit (am sorry to use the expression). Waiting. . .

Abuzola's views are akin to those of the Taliban - fundamentalist crap that belongs to the stone-age, however, many of the Muslims on this forum, some living peacefully in Europe or the US, will not stand up and tell the likes of Abuzola to shut up!

Let me admit it: fundamentalism/fanaticism/extremism/etc is greatly denounced by many Muslim scholars. But its really embarrassing seeing some Muslim brothers rejoice at the action of these people. And don't just misconstrue my words, for I partly support a few of their actions as they are what I use to call "a by-product" of their being mercilessly and ceaselessly oppressed, e.g. Hamas resistance.

The Prophet, may Allah exalt his mention, was reported saying in an authentic hadeeth: "Destroyed are those who are extreme (in religion)".

Another hadeeth: The Prophet said, "Facilitate things to people (concerning religious matters), and do not make it hard for them and give them good tidings and do not make them run away (from Islam)." Bukhari :: Book 1 :: Volume 3 :: Hadith 69

You see. Yet some people don't heed to these and many more prophetic saying and teaching. For example, I today heard on the news (BBC Network Africa), that one Islamic group in Somalia are warning people to stop receiving any medical treatment in any foreign soponsored hospital, including even one named Madina Hospital, where the leaflets were showered.

And many more incidents. Am afraid we are going off-topic discussing this issue.

I can "inundate" you verses and chapters about Jesus (pbuh), but start with these:

First mention of Jesus (pbuh) in the Qur'an:

"And verily We gave unto moses the Scripture and We caused a train of messengers to follow after him, and We gave unto Jesus, son of Mary, clear signs, and We supported him with the holy spirit (angel Gabriel). Is it that whenever there came to you a Messenger with that which you yourselves desire not, you grow arrogant? Some you disbelieved, and some you killed" Al-Bakarah(2):87

Mention made of some of the prophets of Allah:

After speaking about Abraham (pbuh) God says: "And We bestowed upon him Isaac and Jacob; each of them We guided; and Noah did We guide aforetime; and of his seed (We guided) David and Solomon and Job and Joseph and Moses and Aaron. Thus do We reward the good. And Zachariah and John and Jesus and Elias. Each one (of them) was of the righteous. And Ishmael and Elisha and Jonah and Lot. Each one of them did We prefer above (Our) creatures" Al-Anaam(6):84-86.

The message of the prophets was ONE message:

"Say (O Muhammad): We believe in Allah and that which has been sent down to us, and that which was sent down to Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the sons of Jacob, and that which was given to Moses and Jesus and the Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and unto Him we have surrendered. And whosoever seeks other than Islam as [their] religion it will not be accepted from him, and in the Hereafter he will be among the losers. How shall Allah guide a people who disbelieved after their belief and (after) they bore witness that the messenger (Muhammad) is true and after clear proofs had come unto them. And Allah guides not wrongdoing folk." A'al-Umran(3):84-86

What was this message?:

"And verily We have sent in every nation a messenger, (proclaiming): Worship Allah (alone) and shun false gods. Then of them were some whom Allah guided, and of them were some upon whom misguidance had just hold. So travel through the land and see what was the end of those who denied (the truth)!" Al-Nahil(16):36

The mission of Jesus (pbuh):

"And We caused Jesus, son of Mary, to follow in their footsteps, confirming that which was (revealed) before him, and We bestowed on him the Gospel wherein is guidance and a light, confirming that which was (revealed) before it in the Torah a guidance and an admonition unto those who ward off (evil)." Al-Maidah(5):46

In a much summary form, read the following; it contains Muslim general belief of Jesus, may Allah exalt his mention:

We believe in Jesus.

We believe he was born of a virgin.
We believe he spoke from the first day of his life.
We believe Jesus raised the dead, gave sight to the blind, even took some clay, shaped it into a bird and breathed life into it and the bird flew away.

We believe that there are only TWO people on earth that Satan did not touch them in the womb, that was jesus and the mother of Jesus

So if anyone has a right to deify Jesus, it is the Muslims
If anyone has a right to worship, it is the Muslims

Because we not only believe in what the Christians believe about him, we believe in him more

Mind you, we are not worshipers of Jesus,

We believe he is the messiah, and that he must return.

So there is nothing about Christians and Christianity that has anything over our understanding of Jesus.

Unlike the Jews who reject Jesus, Muslims respect and believe in him.

However, this thread is not about Jesus, it is about God.

And we believe in God, and thats what the difference is

We do not say that God has a partner, not a son, an uncle, a daughter or an aunt.

And that is the purpose of this thread, to once again remind christians that deifying Jesus is unacceptable to God.

See, abulbanaat, go to any islamic state in Northern Nigeria and check into any of the VVF clinics, you will be surprised at the number of underaged girls suffering from VVF as a result of been given out as baby brides. This definately is not a propaganda from Western media Mr. abulbanaat!

Your problem, Nezan, is of mixing up things. I am right living in Kano, and believe you me I don't know of any girl in my neighbor suffering from that illness. And I reliable heard that its not only/merely caused due to under-age marriage but refusing to undergo antenatal care and the likes. Thats why you barely hear of any case in the city/metro but mostly villages.

I can go on and on, but get LOADS to do.

I greatly enjoyed reading this OP. It contains nothing but an irrefutable fact. For that I don't know what comment should I aptly make to it; all you get to say cannot be heard by the people involved. That is why I jumped at Col. Gaddafi's frankness at the recent UN General Assembly when he tore UN Charter and said its useless. Only words there are, nobody adhere to them.

I don't know why but anything relates to Islam some people shamelessly enough stand very unfair and unjust when commenting.

I kinda agree with them, for many girls reach puberty before that age. And it's a well know fact whoever reaches puberty can healthily carry pregnancy and deliver easily. And I read the news. . .didn't you too see where its mentioned that that was Afghan and Yemenite custom? Be fair.

The situation is sincerely speaking not so. That I came to know just recently when my brother's neighbour visited Israel during last days of Ramadhan. He said although the mosque is generally guarded by IDF, but the Muslims also have their roles and they do it without much obstruction.

That beside, there were reports of violence in this week in the mosque. Will get the link, inshaAllah, now, so that you can read the detail.
