Welcome december daddy by His grace. Alot of water will do and veggies. She may not be comfy with ordinary water so cold water will do. But seldom urinates? She should be urinating more in preggy. That may mean she is not well hydrated. Pls incrrase her fluid intake may be ribena, lucozade, freshly made fruit juice like water melon. But let her avoid unripe pawpaw and pineapple. May it be easy for her.

Yes, pregnancy causes constipation.
She should increase her uptake of veggies esp green leaves and water melon.
Avoid pineapples, unripe pawpaw and food made with potash cos they have been linked with painful contractions usually followed by miscarriages ( not always though).
She needs to drink water, her baby's amniotic fluid volume comes from her. Water may not seem palatable to.her right now so she can drink cold water or juice it up with nutri c or ribena.
She needs to drink water.
To limit the discomfort of constipation, she should eat plenty small meals rather than few big meals.
For you to be here, I want to believe you are helpful and supportive of her 'condition', please be.

I think mum Zaynie has said it all. She can also try taking oranges and eating everything inside. My doc suggested it to me and it worked. My constipation disappeared months ago.

Unfortunately, constipation is 'part of the package' of pregnancy. Although not everyone experiences it. That said, mamas that experienced constipation would soon come and give you first hand info on things that worked for them.

But I hear taking lots of fruits (water melon, oranges) and drinking lots of water helps soften the stool for easy passage.

It is painful, really painful. Here I am thinking out my next line of action. # My husband slaps and tries to strangle me at any little provocation #. Whe he has a date, he looks for a quarrel and sleeps out.

I am tired of both physical and emotional humiliation. I have 3 kids-6/4/24mnths, I bring the food to the house for him and the kids. He works with a private firm but often come back home saying no money. I work for the government and takes care of family bills. The cars in the house are all mine and he drives any at will.

He has no value or respect for family / wife or mother. I am ashamed of complaining to my mum or the church. DON'T SAY HIS MUM OR DAD, he walks out on them and have no respect for anyone.

When you see him out, he looks calm and nice but believe me he is a wolf in sheep clothing.

I have been thinking out what to do when he returns home today. This is 6:33am he left the house since about 10:pm last night without a word to any one. I overheard his mum(she's been with us for Omugwo) asking where he was going to , he ignored her and drove off.

I am tired and thinking out my mind what to do when he returns.

I have no strong bones like him so don't advise I fight him, but I am thinking I should lock the gate and do not allow him in. Pls nairaland family help me out. What should I do?
