Otunba2004:The Structural Adjustment Programme was the creation of the World Bank and IMF. Most of the developing nations of that time implemented such including China. The sad part of it was that, none of the countries who adopted the SAP enjoyed it, and at the same time, you can't go against the IMF and World Bank due to the nature of the Politics associated with this neoliberal and colonial institutions. Let me tell you the truth, sometimes you need to be harsh and a dictator to set a country on a path of progress and will require time. This is one of the reasons why I think this liberal democracy is nothing but a nonsense that will never suit us |

The only loop hole to this story is the way the virus get to you. Circumcisions alone can reduce your risk of getting infected by about 60%. Tell us, please, which brand of condom were you using during the act? The girl should have been the one to get easily infected not you in that circumstances. However, as others have pointed out, if you have a lot of open sores on your ducj and the condom actually broke, then I can believe. |
Nigeria is ranked as 85th out of 156 surveyed countries of the World in Happiness Index. It is also 2nd in Sub Saharan Africa. Yeah, Nigeria is fraught with multiple challenges but we always tend to find a humorous ways to soot our predicaments. https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2019/03/finland-is-the-world-s-happiest-country-again |
MrsNwaAmaikpe:Why do you people always think northerners are not intelligent? |
Rogersmith:Ok, I've observed people's interest in the geopolitics happening around them is poor. |
To understand this, read the first one: https://www.nairaland.com/4077521/politics-chad-basini https://abbasgarba..com/2019/05/the-politics-of-chad-basin-ii.html?m=1 The Politics of the Chad Basin II Chad is the most important country of interest to Nigeria with regards to the Lake Chad Basin. Chad is the backbone of the Multi National Joint Task Force( MNJTF) which comprises of Nigeria, Niger, CAR and others. When it comes to the function of the MNJTF, Nigeria is mostly the cash cow. In some instances, sabotage results from a link to fragile to be trusted. In my own view, whenever the cash stop flowing from Nigeria, a systematic chain of events are created to make us fall back in line. You will mostly observed our presidents travelling to Chad for talks, when attacks intensify around the Lake Chad Basin. Chad is involved in so many conflicts in the regions of West Africa, Central Africa and North Africa. Chad has been involved in a proxy war with Sudan, Libya and CAR on so many occasions. Recently, in November, 2018, Chadian forces penetrated hundreds of kilometres into Libya's desert region to reach the Al Jaqhbub Oasis. The region is rich in oil and oases. The Chadians wanted to obtain foothold in the region. They were repelled back, but still manage to go far. Chad is a member of many organisations dedicated to fight against insurgents, but sometimes can use other insurgents to wage war by proxy in areas where it has strategic interest. The region in the Sahel is an enabling environment for recruitment of young boys to join all sorts of insurgents groups. Conditions such as unemployment, boredom, hopelessness etc are ripe. Most of the mercenaries recruited by insurgent groups come from this region. Around 6000 ISIS fighters that fought in Libya and Iraq came from this region, and they are now thought to have relocated back to the African continent and are on the offensive. The proliferation of light and small arms into Nigeria has been influenced by the activities of insurgents groups and others in the Sahel region. After the defeat of Gaddafi by so called freedom fighters, a lot of arms supplied to those fighters by external actors and those in the armory of Gaddafi moved into wrong hands. Nigeria needs to seriously consider the Lake Chad region. Efforts should be in placed to constantly monitor the activities in that region. The World is now indeed a dangerous place... |
BabangidaHamza:I don't believe on that your 50:50 analysis. Within Kano metropolis, it is PDP winning. The metropolis contains about 60% of the votes in Kano. In some LGAs outside of Kano metropolis, APC are doing well, but the margin is not that significant. |
TheAngry1:They have my vote, too. |
Someone should quote one instance where Buhari lied or shut up. He is saying it as he knows. |
Righteousness89:Since PMB came, it was only twice that fuel become an issue. |
If not for the fact that the southerners are stupid, this should be the man they should support in 2023 for president. Allow Buhari finish his 4 years and take back this country. Let's present a new blood in 2023 who is from the South to make things right. |

BATTLE FOR THE SCRAMBLING OF NEMA For those who harbored any doubts about what is happening or had happened in NEMA, allow me to take you on a quick not necessarily factual caravan. This expose is intended to be brief on all issues bedeviling the Agency, and it is hoped to shed some lights contextually. BRIEF HISTORY Engr Mustapha Yunusa Maihaja was appointed as NEMA DG in April, 2017. He is intelligent, focused, principled and a highly organized person. He succeeded Muhammad Sani Sidi who had overseen the affairs of the Agency for seven years and was responsible for bringing the Agency to limelight through an extensive media campaign and publicity. RAINY NIGHT IN NEMA It is crucial to remember that every action has an equal and opposite reaction-as Newton Third Law of motion states. Before the coming of Maihaja, NEMA was swimming in debt of around N2b. Most of the debt is money owed to staff and contractors. NEMA was leaving in a bubble waiting to blast at that time, and eventually, it did. Generally, it was a very bad ending as NEMA, a disaster fighting Agency fell into a disaster of its own creation. THE NEW ORDER It is classic case of calm before the storm. In Maihaja’s effort to set things straight, he decided to restructure the Agency for optimal performance. He took some of the following measures: 1. Block leakages to save government resources 2. Implementing the rules according to the Agency’s mandate 3. Settling of outstanding claims 4. Instilling discipline in the Agency The FG North East Emergency Food Intervention is going successfully without any incident of diversion of relief materials which was the norm in the fast. These measures above had made Maihaja an enemy of some of his staff and those powers that be that had made the Agency their food store in the fast. WE WANT OUR CUT NEMA was like a mini Nigeria when it comes to corrupt practices before the assumption of Maihaja. The Senators, House of Reps Members, friends and families etc were the biggest beneficiaries of the Agency. Imaginary disasters are created just to claim for relief materials. These practices were a flagrant violation of the Agency’s mandate and Maihaja put a stop to that. This singular act made Maihaja a target of the campaign of calumny. Minions within the Agency were used to stagnate activities and to make Maihaja look like a sitting duck. THE PETITION AND HR INVESTIGATION The campaign of calumny was launched by a petition from someone who has been fed some information from within the Agency. Maihaja responded to the petition adequately. The biggest lie of the petition is: ‘Prior to Maihaja in April, 2017, activities of NEMA were smooth sail’… The above statement deserves an award as the biggest lie of the century. Before Maihaja came in as DG, NEMA was in a coma in ICU. In fact, Maihaja trouble started right from the day he assumed as DG considering the enormous black hole of debt the Agency has been thrown into. Considering some of the allegation in the petition with respect to travel, an adequate response was given and Maihaja was cleared. Some emergencies situation will warrant his attention as to return home to attend to them. The committee investigating the FG EFINE were adequately punished with all the necessary documents with regards to their investigation, but they chose to look the other way because the investigation has been concluded before it has began- Maihaja must be found guilty. The issue around the N1.6b revolves around the issue that the governors wanted to collect the money and not relief materials equivalent of which Maihaja objected. Those materials were sent anyway… The issue of illegal contract sum approval is not true. In Emergency situation, NEMA as a procuring entity under some exceptional circumstances can act immediately, if in the judgment of the DG is necessary. In the event he is directed by the president, it can also be done. No illegal documents were used in respect of any payment,..It is purely a fictional fantasy of the petitioner’s mind. |

APC need to stop this man from contesting again. Allowing him to contest again will blow their anti corruption war to pieces |
This is a reply i gave a friend on facebook. He is moving all over the place atikulating- whatever the hell it means I said: Nobody has started campaigning on anything yet. What we are just saying is that, we need to drain the swamp. Is high time to do so. Let me tell you how we got to this point. Jonathan decided to reneged on agreement to shift power to the north and the northern politician revolted leading to a lot of chaotic events of which we now consider history. Now, with Buhari, tge likelihood of a system to remain stable is much higher considering the fact that he will only do 4 years more. Atiku is saying he will do a single term. I just hope no fool will believe that. With Atiku saying such, we will go back to wear Jonathan took us. Atiku is quite inconsistent in his ideological inclination. Atiku is a core liberalist. I just can't understand Nigerians. The evil you do in your past can hunt you. The level of damage done to this country by past leaders is enormous. It will take a very long time to set things right. It is always very difficult to build and very easy to destroy. Don't take us back to the usual, please. Thank you |
They know it won't be easy for them in his second term. It is high time to drain the swamp. |
If anyone thinks Atiku can defeat Buhari in a free and fair election, that person is in kuku land. PDP was advised to split North West votes, they refused to listen. NE will definitely go Buhari NW, no doubt with a freaking margin NC will be contested. SW no comment for now SE will go Atiku SS will go Atiku Buhari, even when not in power was naturally loved by his people. Imagine he is on top now. |
fratermathy:I agree with your point. They may also be punishing Kwankwaso for what he did to their son in 2015 |
sage101:It's obvious any candidate other than KWANKWASO will be demolished completely to the ground. This is not rocket science. |
If TAMBUWAL ends up winning, PDP is finished. I repeat PDP is finished. Kwankwaso is PDP best bet but yet they decide to look the other way round. No one will invest in a failure. |
BabangidaHamza:I'm an indigine of Kano, too. How did you arrive at the figure of 100B? Who brought the accusations? Where was the figure quoted? Why should you lie because of your hatred for a man that has helped millions? Let PDP make their mistake. We are monitoring the primary closely. |
If they decide to choose any person other than KWANKWASO, Buhari doesn't need to waste his time campaigning for reelection. |
TroubleMaker47:What an intelligent comment. I kept on repeating myself anything other than KWANKWASO for PDP is a mistake. If Buhari is to win again, APC will be powerful 2023 and will be difficult to challenge. |
I pray PDP make that mistake of choosing Saraki. Any person other than KWANKWASO is a mistake for PDP. We've repeated this a thousand times but it seems like they don't want to hear. ANY OTHER PERSON OTHER THAN KWANKWASO will make the 2019 presidential election a contest won by the INCUMBENT before it has began. There will not be a single iota of challenge for BUHARI to thrash these guys like seriously... |
Write it down here: the moment PDP pick anyone other than KWANKWASO, the election has been concluded before it has began. No one will invest in a bad stock. He is the only candidate that can give Buhari a semblance of competition. |
The moment they hand the ticket to anyone other than Kwankwaso, I swear to God the election has finished before it has even began. |
Tomorrow's battlefield by Nick Turse(2015) I am not much of a fan of conspiracy theory, but sometimes you have to ask some deep questions regarding some events around you. Compare year 2000- 2018. What do you think had happened on the African continent that is worth your curiosity? Do you think there's a scramble for Africa once again? By whom? What is the the interest of China, US and Russia on the Africa continent? My interest is with respect to the US and its Global War on Terrorism(GWOT) and how China and Russia can be factored in. Since the formal inauguration of its Camp Lemmonier in Djibouti to serve as one of the Forward Operating Centre for Africa ie US Africa Command, the continent had not known much peace. Where they anticipating the proliferation of multiple so called Jihadi groups? There are now about 19 active militant groups on the continent. Mind you, China had also recently inaugurated a military outpost in the same country. There are currently 46 US Army outpost scattered across 24 countries on the continent with about 5000-6000 military personnel doing about 3500+ activities on the continent a day. How does Nigeria benefit from these outposts in its fight against multiple criminal groups in the country? Is the relationship being kept a covert one? Why? To cut the story short, I have read through some of these articles as compiled into a book by a veteran investigative journalist Nick Turse. You can read him on the website of an online medium by name 'Tom Dispatch'. Buy and read the book if you have the means. As for me, I don't have the means for now but is recommended. https://abbasgarba..com/2018/10/tomorrows-battlefield.html?m=1 |
