I wish I had invested in at least one relationship.

Well, I don't blame myself much now because I was too young. I had followed my older cousin's advice that the less commitment the better but now I know better.
Those school relationships are weaker than crackers biscuit most times...

Yep. I was so reserved and not social. I regret not being social and just always indoors.
A lot of people on this table, always regret even after securing a good job.. I have some coursemate on this as well.

So I ran into an old school mate of mine sometime last week, she was my roomie, very reserved and bookish.

While I and my friends / other roomies were very social and went to the occasional club parties, she was always indoors with her books and well, I guess it paid off cuz she graduated with a 2.1 while we struggled with 2.2.

Back to when I saw her, after exchanging pleasantries we reminisced about school days and I was shocked to hear her say she envied my days in school, like she wished she lived a more social life, I was so surprised I on the other hand wished I was serious and concentrated more on my studies, maybe just maybe I would have graduated with a better grade.

We both laughed at the irony of it all and this made me wonder ; do we all wish we did things differently in the university when we look back?
For me, no regrets at all... My course was my choice.

good social life, a case of We came, we see, we conquered... I really thank God for The university life and my social circle plus versatile nature.

Nwanne, I gaghi a ghota...

As a woman, there are some things you just need to allow the man in your life do for you.
Let him love you in every little way he can, just as you do him. cheesy
We care in different ways.... cheesy

So if oga travel out of state for business or official assignment, you won't cook again?.

You know that man that said he can't go out to fill gas for the family, might find washing plate and the wife's clothes as cool even ma payint na bra......cheesy

E fit be say he does other chores apart from that gas thing..

That's how a guy was castigating another guy for giving his babe cunnilingus, little did he know that his babe attested to his expert skill in cunnilingus... grin cheesy to the other guy's babe.

I'll be 18 soon, they know am mature, think mature, look mature,so they have no justifiable reason, besides they have been advised by friends and family to loosen up but they are not budging.
Well, they are being who they are.. slowly you will gain your ground.

It's always a process most people pass through..For me, I don't like it.. Being too tight as parents, affects the kids a lot... some might be set on that low self esteem path for years even after gaining freedom.

Strong individuals protest for their freedom a times. You will have to prove to them you are matured to earn the freedom at some point.

LordKO:
- When a man treats a submissive (humble and selfless) wife with love, she knows that he does so from the place of strength, not weakness, because it takes strength, not weakness, to be submissive too - here a man has a friend.

- When a man treats a contentious (crass and expedient/perfidious) wife with love, she assumes that he fears her and takes him for granted because to her love is a sign of weakness, not strength. To her, she has subjugated him - here a man has an open oppressor and enemy as a wife.

- When a man treats a servile/disingenuous (pretentious and expedient/perfidious) wife with love, she takes him for a fool/assumes that it's a sign of potency of her slyness and continues to kowtow for him. I'm sorry for men who aren't masters of their ego - here a man has a frenemy as a wife, a time bomb waiting for explosion once he has a small setback.

Of course, it's the same thing with small variation when you reverse the genders.
Truth live here though.

A man with that kind of attitude does not deserve the genuine love of a woman.

When you have good men in your life who shows you how a woman should be loved and cared for, you never settle for less.
I never thought filling gas could ever be an issue about whose responsibility it is until now...
Every mallam with his kettle.....different problems for different couples.

I really don't see it a big deal, anyone available can fill the gas cylinder at the station.

Even in my neighborhood, na married women and younger boys i do see most at the stations. Ones you can drive and have a car, you can do it easily.

Anybody can do it...Abii They have started using filling cylinders to measure love... grin grin

Hello Nairalanders, greetings to you all. This comes as a result of no other options. My sister is very much willing to drop the original copies of her WAEC, NYSC discharged and degree certificates with anyone as collateral to get a loan of 100k to start a poultry business. She's very much ready to agree to favorable terms and conditions in this regard. She hasn't been able to secure a job since after graduation. However, she has a space and required experience to run the business successfully. Her plan is to stock broilers and sell off in 2 months+ time and refund the capital. Pls come to our aid. This will really go a long way in helping us and by extension, the society who would benefit one way or the other.

Contact her on this No.: 080 6 841 59 38

Her name is ThankGod

Thanks as you consider us.
Edith this and add her location...

This will help.

My dad made sure of that.
When we were kids, he just called us one day and declared NO MORE ENGLISH!
He told us then that if we had anything to say to him, it must be in Igbo.
I was like "omg" cry
Nwanne, come see sweat plus stammer anytime we had something to report to him cry cry
Trust my dad, he had all the patience in the world even if it took us 365 days to finish, as long as it was in Igbo grin grin grin
Thankfully, it paid off. cool
Nice he did really paid off.

my dad did opposite, Say we are to speak English and if we are to collect anything from him, it is a must. Trust house of boys na : D street must prevail.

That wouldn't happen if their parents ensured they brought them together from time to time from when they were little.

Society and economic values milks them to extreme introvert.

Plus, such individuals are limited to book worm stuffs. They aren't good with social life and relating with people, which is the main thing to survive our modern day society.

nony43:
Marriage within the family seems to be more rampant in some regions of the world for one reason or the other.

Can you marry someone from your family? Like your father's brothers daughters or sons?

Do you see these relationships legally or socially acceptable?

Is there anywhere in the holy book that supports marrying within the family?

What is the origin of allowing marriage within the family?

What are the pros and cons?

For some it's a taboo but some still went ahead to marry and consummate such affairs and have kids

Do you know someone living in such union? Did the taboo affect them? Or is it you?
I think it's taboo going by ancestral beliefs otherwise called superstition.. But going forward in our modern day, I realised the taboo tagged to it and linking it to wrath of the gods happened to be what we call defects arising from Inbreeding.

Inbreeding will occur definitely either in the first or Second filial generation.

The Fulani tribes are typical example.

Not in anyway close to selfish, you are considering your pocket bro.

Talk to her, if need be adjust and make it final three(after all you promised her earlier on, Women don't forget a promise made to them)in few years time, those two will be out of the house, she will start feeling lonely.

Loneliness kills faster despite all the achievements planned ahead.

Some women just like that full house family buzz. It's a way they grew up, it's already an influence to them.

sit her down and talk to her, let her no your pocket combined with economy is not responding to another child, Unless she is willing to adjust and equally win bigger akara as you are winning the bread.

Lastly, kids are bundles of Joy to any family, you won't blame her. Economy just limiting human capacity.

Fashion › Re: Why Do Ladies Wear Waist Beads? by Munzy14(m): 11:15am On Jun 28, 2020
Mynd44:
1. Fashion: Some people find it cute hence making it a fashion statement and the more beautiful you think you are, the more confident.

2. Weight loss/gain check: sounds strange but waist beads are use by a lot of ladies to know if they have added weight or if they have lost them. Once the beads that used to sit on your waist starts feeling tight, you know the waist is bigger. Some are meant to be a bit tight so the owner knows when she has she dropped weight.

3. Culture: it is just some people's culture no arguments.

4. Religion: a lot of people wear beads as amulets, protective materials etc. It is what they believe and personal.

5. Feels good: Some women love how the beads tickle them as they walk. Weird but sure. Heck some actually wear it to keep their hands busy as it becomes a type of toy.
I have no attraction for whatever reasons for a lady with beads biko.

No attraction their for me.
