President Muhammadu Buhari has met with leaders of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), assuring them of meeting their N30, 000 minimum wage demands. The President stated this when the NLC leadership visited him at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. He told the NLC that PDP is yet to explain to Nigerians what they did with the oil money, reminding them that he had intervened when they made their demands for 30,000 naira as minimum wage, during a time when the nation was barely struggling to survive. He equally reminded that the rail system was gone as well as power inspite of 16billion naira earmarked for it. He asked again ‘where is the power’ as he described that expenditure as unprecedented and irresponsible. So the present administration he says was saddled with dealing with the ‘terrible mismanagement of the country’. He also acknowledged the pressure the union has faced and supported it offers during the elections. https://all-gists..com/2019/03/Labour-Leaders-Paid-A-Visit-To-President-Buhari.html?m=1

My dear Reno, I've read your tweet. Pls let me say a few things for the record: 1. I did not work for Atiku, I only volunteered like I did for Buhari in 2015. I never interacted with his campaign office. 2. The PDP Chairman, Uche Secondus publicly rejected the results yesterday... 3. The last time I met or spoke to the Wazirin was before PDP primaries but I supported him and still do with all my heart. 4. My tweet was not meant for his private consumption but for his huge and passionate followers like me... 5. I learnt many lessons from the June 12 saga! 6. I felt the tension being generated by the rejection of the polls even before the end of the exercise. 7. I consider it pertinent to avert the imminent danger occasioned by the reckless misadventure of the Buhari government and its operatives during these elections.. . 8. My intervention is only an appeal and an advice to the Wazirin and his supporters. You gain more when you embrace peace when people expect you to fight 9. Atiku is free to head to court but I doubt if Buhari will obey any outcome, if unfavourable. 10. Where then do you go? GOD. https://all-gists..com/2019/02/I-didnt-work-For-Atiku-I-Only-Volunteered-Myself-Dele-Momodu-Tells-reno-Omokri.html

Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki has stated that in spite of the reported inadequacies that attended last Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly elections in Kwara State, he is wishing the candidates who emerged from the election the best of luck. Dr. Saraki in a statement signed by his Special Adviser (Media and Publicity), Yusuph Olaniyonu stated that while the election was generally peaceful there were inadequacies like the card readers not used in over 70 percent of the polling units while there was also multiple-voting, over-voting and other discrepancies that were reported by agents of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) across the state. He added that the state chapter of his party will take a position on the right response to these inadequacies. “However, whatever the final outcome of the election, I wish the candidates that have emerged all the best in their attempts to serve our people. It is my prayer that the good people of Kwara State will always have the best from any government both at the state and federal levels. “As a product of a family and a political structure that is, from its foundation, devoted to the service and development of our state and its people, it is my wish that our people will always have a good deal at all times. The new development will even provide the people the opportunity to compare and contrast. After all, the people who have emerged from last Saturday’s election are not my enemies. They are fellow Kwarans. “As we prepare for the March 9th, 2019 Governorship and House of Assembly elections, let me reiterate my position that the candidates of the PDP in the election represent the best materials for our dear State, Kwara. Therefore, I enjoin our people to come out en masse on Election Day and vote for them. I am going to work with our party leaders to further sell the PDP candidates to the general public. “I thank all Nigerians for their goodwill and to enjoin all of us that as we patiently await the outcome of the Presidential election, we pray for peace, unity and genuine development in our country. It is also our prayers that at all times, the wish of the people will always prevail in the choice of the leadership and the electorate will always enjoy the benefit of good governance”, Saraki stated. Signed Yusuph Olaniyonu Special Adviser (Media and Publicity) to Senate President |

THE WAZIRIN ADAMAWA, PLEASE, SAVE NIGERIA My dear Wazirin, accept my congratulations on an election decently fought by you. I've no doubt that you're a true democrat by your composure and comportment. I was one of your volunteers from the distance like I did for BUHARI in 2015. My dear WAZIRIN, I supported you for only one reason, I believe no government should be encouraged to have a second term if its performance in the first term is below average. I was neither a member of APC nor PDP but a firm believer in a virile opposition... My dear WAZIRIN, you became my option after you won your ticket on the platform of PDP knowing from personal experience that only the top two party tickets have any chance of winning this Presidential race though I supported other younger candidates, morally and otherwise... My dear WAZIRIN, my hope was for a level playing field for all candidates, young or old, but obviously that did not happen, even if no election can ever be perfect. Many Nigerians prayed and fasted and did whatever they could in the expectation that our democracy would deepen... My dear WAZIRIN, to cut a long tale short, many lives have been wasted, many citizens have been brutally injured, and the results have virtually been declared, and the direction is all too obvious. And this is where you come in, as tempers rise, left, right and centre... My dear WAZIRIN, every normal human being would feel deeply hurt with the level of garrison operations we recently witnessed. But all wounds ultimately heal, if properly treated. I want you to place Nigeria above every other consideration, no matter how much you feel cheated... My dear WAZIRIN, please counfound the world by rising up to accept this painful and excruciating development. God has been most kind to you and your family. Your children are well educated and disciplined. Despite the campaign of calumny against you, you rose stoutly in battle... https://all-gists..com/2019/02/Accept-My-Congratulations-On-An-Election-Decently-Fought-By-You-Momodu-To-Atiku.html
