since 2002( when the sharia law came to be) they have been many sharia court verdict on death sentence but none has happened. I am telling you that the sharia law is secondary to our civil/criminal law. You can enquire and research, this is not the first time the sharia court is giving such verdict. He has all rights to appeal to a normal court and you are free to enquire, it is not hard to find out. You can ask any lawyer if you wish

Catholic church don't do tithing only recently some have adopted it because of influence from the Pentecostals churches...there is no teaching of tithing in the catholic church as you can see that other non-african catholic churches don't do that. It is just peculiar to Africa in most cases for obvious reasons

The law doesn't apply to Christians at all and even Muslims can choose. So i think the law being repealed should be spearheaded by Muslims themselves. Also our Civil/Criminal law is primary and above the sharia law we have. The man will surely appeal his case to a normal court but the issue is his safety in his community over there
