Wow!! I thank God for your life! Not many lived to give this type of testimony. The most important thing is that you have adopted a healthy lifestyle..Keep it up and try not to fall into the temptation of reversion. I hope people can learn from this.

On a side note, smoking causes more harm than good, not only to the smoker but people around.
I was outside a mall one day when I saw a group of 4 young girls around a baby of about a few weeks old smoking cigarette.. I couldn't contain my emotion as I walked up to them and asked that they smoked away from the baby.. Ofcourse they gave me a very weird look after one of then replied that it's her baby.. I just couldn't stomach it..Agreed they don't care about their s lives, they should not cause a young innocent soul to suffer due to their reckless lifestyle.

I hope in your car testing frenzy, the key to the car doesn't break has you put it in the ignition or you don't end up having an accident whilst testing.. Some Nigerians are way too emotional. The irony is that these are the likes that would not learn from this lesson and start saying "had I known" later .

The woman's revelation is to serve as a deterrent to those that are indulging in the same lifestyle not paying attention to their wellbeing. I particularly find the part where she divulged that the loss of his parents led to that lifestyle thought provoking .. this is to show people that no matter the blow life deals with you, never take solace in alcohol - the demerits far outweighs the merit.

Most of my uni friends are hausa /fulani but again, most are international students which substantiates the OPs claim.
It's true that they lead a simple lifestyle and are well loaded. I guess they are very patriotic hence regard Nigeria as home nonetheless.

You can't really blame her here. We can all talk now because of the incident that befell her

1)Transferring her money directly to a Nigerian account would attract some transfer charges and have a lower rate compared with black market . Blackmarket exchange rate is higher so she probably thought she'd save and have more money (could be as high as 200,000naira).
Obviously, she would never have envisaged this unfortunate incident .
Besides, I think there are some complicated formalities that accompany the transfer of funds of that worth.


2)She probably wanted a landscape view and appreciate the scenery on her local trip which an airplane would not gratify. I concur that it was risky but she would again not have imagined this.

3)I guess she kept those documents in her luggage cuz she saw it as the safest place. Let's be real, it is more common to be robbed of a hand bag than a luggage.
She must have thought no one would suspect she had valuables in her luggage. Just like many people think it was extremely silly of her to keep the money there, she must have thought the same and used that to her advantage which unfortunately turned out to be a bigger mistake.


I can bet that if the woman leaves Nigeria, she would not step foot back in the country.

I really pity her. It's sad.

As a young child, I used to be sent to give out food. It was fun for me then cause it was an avenue to make money. I used to make as high as 4000 naira then and I'm talking about the early 2000.
