about the recent app menu I can understand your view, I don't own any xiaomi yet but I personally prefer the way it is on the pixel but I'm stock with how Samsung deems it fit, so I have to settle for that. Some people like how it is on MIUI.

I can put on my data without unlocking my phone , I always thought that was the standard , I never knew that was a flaw. I kinda like it


Las las its hard to have it all in a phone , you might just have to seek a custom ROM that suits your yearnings

A formal complaint brought my attention to this thread, even though my attention has always been on this thread because of the posts always being reported.

I was gona thrash this thread a long time ago because it was some sort of haven for adverts and related which is against phone section rules but I decided to let it be because the thread had other useful purposes but recently, I've been getting many reported posts due to the fact that they're ads, and it won't be fair if some people take the trouble to post their ads on tech market and phone market while some still choose to break the rules, especially since there seem to be a popular opinion by those here that adverts should go.

I shouldn't be asking but I hope it is the final resolution?

So today is about INEC and charging speeds on various phone type lolz .

Okay let me educate u guys a little about phone chargers and charging technology.
Various phone manufacturers use different charging technology based on the choosers deployed, some choosers can do what we call fast charge or flash charge or quick charge based on what is being used.

Samsung does fast adaptive charge
Most big battery mtk phones do MTK Pump express
Snapdragon phones do Quick charge 2, 3 and looking at 4
Oppo phones does vooc dash charge
While some just maintain a regular fast charge of either 5v 9v or 12v at either 4a 3.5a 3a 2a and 1.5a

The truth of the matter is that for you to get the best out of Ur device u have to know Ur chipset and Ur charger. There are manufacturers who specialise in chargers and charger accessories, so as to give us the very best.

Now someone asked of a phone that can charge at almost 1% per minute please look up the oukitel k6000 plus. It have a 6000mah but does pump express charge of 12v 2a and gets from 0-100% in 1hr 15mins I know cos I have the phone.

Most Xiaomi phone comes with quick charge 2.0 or 3.0 but the follow come chargers are simply 5v 2a charger without QC functions so u need to get a QC charger or else u might never know Ur phone can do Quick charge.

Now on the umidigi phones I know the umidigi one does quick charge but Ur charger might also determine the speed. I charge madam's phone from 5% to 100% in about 1hr 30mins using a celbro charger that does QC 2.0, 3.0, pump express and adaptive charging. While the follow come charger does it in about 2hrs plus.

So the morale of this story is. Know your chipset, know Ur charger and know what works best for you. Cos technology develops everyday.

I told her the catalogue could then easily be viewed any where in the world and she can post download links or email out, and she never can tell where her next order would come from.........

If I get this phone I'll be satisfied. I hate changing phones frequently, xiaomi tried abeg pricing and everything.
I was already planning to get the Huawei Y9 for myself because of the bezels, I had a few drawbacks but with this note 7 , everything falls into place , usb-c , fast charge , infrared , screen ratio , processor+ battery, then MIUI .

2. Has it not been beneficial to many?

4. If MAJORITY are okay with adverts ban then, we will abide by it (including phone repair service)... The question is how do we determine majority...
5. I follow this thread a lot AND I KNOW SEVERAL PEOPLE MAKE REQUESTS HERE FOR REPAIRS (many times we are even mentioned by fellow Nairalanders)... Why can't we notify them about our service here...


In overall we want comfort for Xiaomi phone users... Maintenance and Repair can be a major hindrances to this...

hello bro , dont take it too hard , there was actually a vote on the issue and those who didn't want ad here won, I personally voted for an ad per day. The decision wasn't made by a group of persons but by people who visit this thread. We just have to comply with what majority wants.

The advert page has been growing well , and I'm even happy at the outcome , you can take a look at the ad thread , you've got the freedom to advertise as much as you want without restrictions.
So please let's abide by whatever rules are laid down, it enables coordination

yes it froze on the first day, that is not enough reason to return a phone. Most infinix phones lag and that wasn't much of a concern.
Do you factor in the chances that we might have traveled between 20th and returned on or before 29th?
Does it make any sense that a new phone will malfunction (go blank without responding) barely 10days after purchase. These are things that are rare. I've never used any infinix or tecno product so I didn't think they were that terrible even though I've heard people complain a lot about them, I just felt the brand is fragile and that such problems would take at least some months to manifest and not less than 10days.
I can see you're just trying to blame us.
