I read what the Governor said and I smiled that this is the kind of leader Nigerians deserve people who already have policy direction, who understand what the states needs , who understand that Industrialization would lead to massive job creation.

Well that state seems to be blessed with performing Governors, starting from Victor Attah, Godswill Akpabio and from Udom's body language he may also perform.

One unique similarities with all Akwa Ibom state civilian Governors is that they all from the private sector , that may be why they are good in managing the state resources vis a vis development

In as much as I like Gej..The truth be told GEJ could have handled BH better if he wanted to,we saw it during the closing stages to his exit. It was just complacency and wrong advice from associates that led to his incapacity and hence his eviction. I believ Gej could have done better. We should allow the man rest for now and see what the Change agents wants to offer. But am already lacking in confidence over them. What i think PMB is doing is gathering intelligence and partnerships so that he can fully tackle this insurgency once and for all. By arresting their chief financier, he has access to the core of their operations.

Defeating an insurgency is not all shot and shot. You can ask the Americans. It takes massive intelligence gathering so that you don't only defeat them, but you also curb their re-insurgence.

This order by the CBN was a result of a meeting of the Bankers Committee just a week prior. I repeat that; “just a week prior.”

In attendance at that meeting were bankers, one of whom spoke at the April 13th press briefing. Union Bank Managing Director/Chief Executive, Mr. Emeka Emuwa said, “We realise that people were using the cards in a manner they were not expected to use them. There were some arbitrage going on, and in order to continue to support the stability in the foreign exchange market. So it was agreed at the committee that the limit would be reduced for the use of the naira debit cards. You will still have, as a customer, unfettered access to your dollar account (cards) but for the naira cards, the limit will be reduced to a judicious level.”

No responsible country in the world imposes such withdrawal limits on its citizenry and never with such notice…“with immediate effect from the date of announcement, and just one week after a so-called decision making meeting of the slave drivers.”

Were the people, clients, also invited to attend and come to the decision and conclusion the bankers and CBN arrived at? We know we had no representative.

Were the so-called arbitrageurs to blame for the fall in the dollar as the bankers accused us or was it the PDP presidential campaign billions of dollars rain to all and sundry including OPC and MASOB that led to a crash in naira?

Did the CBN and bankers have the right to make such sudden and drastic cut if at all, and not a gradual one – if at all – in respect of citizen rights?

What other factors are to blame for the instability in the forex market? What role does money laundering and authorized carting of millions of dollars in suitcases to South Africa for instance, have to play in it? Why are these other factors not sternly and whimsically addressed by Godwin, including the withdrawal of sums as large as $9.3 million dollars in suitcases (which is meant to be impossible under CBN rules?). Why must the masses suffer always for crimes of the immunity and life-pension seeking, constitution re-writing-for-personal-gain, cabal?

As Mr. Godwin from the infamous Zenith Bank was appointed CBN chair, we warned of the additional changes to be expected as a Bankers’ man replaced another Bankers’ man. We said then that we can expect more policies in favor of the banks and to the death of the people. In fact you get perks per every transaction you make, it is called “REWARDS,” the banks are happy to have your money and handle your business so they reward you. But this is not so in Nigeria where blood-sucking banshees connive to rip Nigerians off at every turn as supported by inebriated government officials most interested in receiving payment for life for the nothing that they do other than the thuggery and  terror they promote.

It is a known fact that there are limits of currency withdrawal from ATM's in every country, But a country does not fix limits on ATM withdrawal issued from another country. Every country looks at her peculiar problem and fix limits. In Nigeria the rate of ATM frauds is too high to the extent that if there is no limit ones account could be wipe out entirely, fixing a limit reduces the risk of someone loosing all his money from ATM. Mind you fixing limits does not stop you from doing your financial transaction because you can do transfers from your ATM. Don't also forget that the country is moving towards a cashless economy and because of that ATM limits must be set.

Secondly, you criticized the devaluation of the Naira. What type of economist are you? are you an economist that does not relate financial policies with the occurrences in the business world vis-a-vis your country? The price of oil dropped drastically and it affected all oil producing countries with the most devastating effect on Russia and Venezuela and other oil producing countries that depend solely on Oil. Thirdly, you also condemn the CBN Forex policy on some products like toothpick ,rice e.t.c. President Muhamadu Buhari has appointed Lawal Musa Daura as the new Director General Department of State Security Service.

The appointment which is with immediate effect, was conveyed today in a letter by the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Barrister Danladi Kifasi.

Lawal Musa Daura was born in Daura on the 5th of August, 1953. He attended Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria from 1977 – 1980.

He started his carrier in the State Security Service in 1982 and rose to the rank of Director.

Daura was at one time the Deputy Director Presidential Communication, Command and Control Centre at the Presidential Villa Abuja between 2003 and 2007; and also served as the State Director of Security Service at various times in Kano, Sokoto, Edo, Lagos, Osun and Imo States.
He attended various professional courses both home and abroad including the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, (NIPSS) Kuru.
