OP,

The oil that is becoming "worthless" as you termed it,will still be of so much worth to the Noger Delta,If they alone enjoy the proceeds,in addition I'm sure you don't think it's only oil the ND is blessed with.

So the ND people will even pray for oil to become so cheap as not to be able to sustain the entire nation so the FG can now evolve policies (hopefully) that will ensure all the other states that have been parasites the ND resources will now begin to explore the resources in their own states.

If this is the wand that will usher in true federalism, then it's indeed good omen to the ND states

Business › America Now World's Biggest Producer Of Crude Oil by Myself2(op): 1:08pm On Dec 28, 2015
Cheery news,America that used to be the biggest buyer of Nigerian crude, has now become the biggest producer of crude oil in the world. As if that is not good enough, they recently started exporting crude to other countries,so this efectively means that the downward slide of crude prices in the international market will continue. So Nigerian crude may soon be selling for as low as $20 per barrel, cant wait for it to get to as low as between $5 to $10 per barrel,,,,,so that we as a people will eventually put on our thinking caps and every state will now begin to develop and harness the natural resources that they're blessed with. The FG will be forced to rethink a lot of policies, the governors will stop running cap-in-hand to Abuja at the end of every month to share oil earnings.Consequently, the atrraction of the office of president will dwindle and it will cease to be this do-or-die,winner-takes-all nonsense it currently is.

crispgg:
People always misinterprete this yoruba tradition. There are two reasons why this is done.
1. Back in the day, yoruba kings were seen as demi-gods and highly revered. Therefore it was thought not to be proper for the young widows who were still young enough to remarry be taken up by mere mortals. Hence, another Oba must inherit them.

2. For the older wives, some of them very old. Who would take care of them if the new Oba sends them packing from the palace? Hence, he is also to become their husband thereby guaranteeing their sustenance till death. He might not even set eyes on them till they die. But he has the responsibility for their well being. That is the whole essence of this practice
Your explanation has just increased the shittiness and crappiness of the whole thing

Jonathan succeeds Clinton as Keynote Speaker @ 2016 HGF conference

mmediate-Past President Goodluck Jonathan has been chosen to present the keynote address at the 2016 Hope Global Forums conference.
Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan

Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan

The programme is scheduled to hold in the second week of January in Atlanta, United States.

President Bill Clinton performed a role similar to that of Jonathan at the 2015 event which gathered over 3, 000 leaders from 40 countries.

The letter of invitation was jointly signed by Andrew Young, Operation Hope global spokesman, Kasim Reed, mayor of Atlanta and John Hope Bryant, Operation Hope chief executive. They urged the former president to lend his support to an entrepreneurship mentoring programme, by sharing his experience in office with a wider global audience.

“As some one recognised for his leadership and vision in Nigeria and abroad, we are personally requesting your attendance. It is important for us that your influential voice and perspective be included as we drive a global conversation,” the letter read.

“We invite you to join Fortune 500 CEO’s, private investors, financial leaders and government officials to connect and collaborate on this vision.

“With the theme ‘Reimagining the Global Economy: Inclusive Economics’, the annual meeting is set against the backdrop of the Martin Luther King Holiday weekend and gathers leaders from government, community and the private sector to outline a vision for the modern global; economy.

“A vision where the undeserved, working poor and struggling middle class are viewed as untapped assets for economic growth, entrepreneurship and job creation.

“The powerful history of Atlanta as the ‘Cradle of the Civil Rights Movement’ serves as a catalyst for our gathering, highlighting the unfinished work of economic self-reliance launched by Dr. King prior to his death. We will honour that legacy with a series of activities for our guests, including ‘white glove’ viewing of Dr. King’s papers.”

Among the guests expected to attend the programme are: Tim Cook, Apple chief executive; Jack Lew, US treasury secretary; Robert Rubin, former treasury secretary, and Clinton Foundation vice-chair Chelsea Clinton.

The Hope Global Forum is an annual event that convenes thousands of thought leaders, business professionals and public policy officials from many countries to brainstorm on ways of advancing the social and economic well-being of all people around the world.

According to the organisers, the 2016 meeting focuses on broadening inclusiveness for global economies.

why all the insult on my person. at this age that young boy is already bearing the burden of his siblings, tomorrow he may have to stop school for them to graduate and possibly miss his dream of becoming great because he had to sacrifice for his siblings. he may even become a thug or gangster just because he needs to protect his younger ones.

i only wanted parents mostly those in this part of the world to reduce their rate of child bearing.

Am entitled to my opinion
I'm with you on this one,the govt should set up child protection agencies to trace irresponsible parents like this and sort them out appropriately
