Why have the "good constitutional lawyers" not trashed the guidelines or act of parliament over these yearshuh?

I'll save you the effort of an answer, it's because the NASS always gets to the Chairmen and members of the RMAFC and makes them dance to their whims and caprices. This mutual corruption has thrived because THE PEOPLE have been very docile and never agitated to see changes effected

O boy don't be deceived, it's all the same thing, RMAFC fixes the legislators pay IN LINE WITH THE NASS guidelines, so technically, the legislators fix their pay by proxy
Politics › Re: Who Has The Constitutional Power To Slash The Salaries Of Senators by Myself2(m): 4:50pm On May 04, 2015
phlemzy:
Does it mean that if our lawmakers choose to pay themselves N1bn monthly,it cannot be in anyway be challenged? Has RMAFC not found anything faulty about how much each lawmaker takes home monthly. In fact, how is the head of RMAFC chosen? So many things need to be checked. Their salaries & allowances should be within the same range as those in other countries across the world. Enough of all these Jamboree when the common man cannot is left to struggle with a day's meal out there.
The way to go is that civil society organisations should form pressure groups, sponsor private bills to come u der matters of urgent national importance and occupy the NASS till the bill is read and adopted on both floors.I know a handful of senators and representatives that have personally expressed their support for a cut in their total emoluments, they can be co-opted into such a movement
Politics › Re: Who Has The Constitutional Power To Slash The Salaries Of Senators by Myself2(m): 4:45pm On May 04, 2015
barcanista:
@OP: The Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission determines the remuneration of Public office holders EXCEPT the Judiciary. However, the commission is guided by law of the Parliament (NAsS). The allocation cannot be modified or reviewed by the President except the law establishing it is amended by members of National Assembly. In other words, they still have the key. The best a President can do is to persuade members of NASS to amend the law guiding RMAFC. Otherwise, he can only make empty rant. He can't even change what his VP, Ministers, SAs, SSAs or even himself earn. He can only decide to forfeit a percentage of his income. As for the NASS, I bet you that any bill to amend the law guiding RMAFC will be killed upon arrival.
Barcanista on point once more, I couldn't have explained it better

Oga, you fell for the OP's gimmick. Why list Oando first with N228.506BN before a construction company with N300BN? I smell tribalism, ethnicity and another Tinubu bashing thread in the making.

Anyway, all these payments should be properly looked into and cases of fraudulent claims punished according to the laws of the land.

Cheers!!!
Whether you list Oando first, second or last o,the question is DID OANDO COLLECT N228.6 BILLION in subsidy claims in the period under review or not

Stick to the topic and stop begging the question, this was how you people deceived Nigerians

Was he not the INCOMPETENT ex Ekiti governor that was busy using N50 million naira to buy beds that looked like baby cots, very dull and stupid looking.Since there's no post like minister of stupidity,Fayemi's name should not come near any list.

Fashola would have made a good minister, but the ministry where he knows how to perform has not been created that is minister of traffic control as that was what he was busy doing in Lagos (aside of course blowing the hundreds of billions of naira of Lagos state funds to massage the ego of Thiefnuboo and help himself to the rest, while throwing Lagos into debt at the same time)[/size]
