Goke7: Please let's stop all these I beg everyone:
The mass defection of politicians from other parties to the apc that won the presidential elections on march 28 should teach all Nigerians a lesson. These were the parties people were abusing and killing themselves for before March 28, the same people shouting Jonathan yesterday are now shouting Buhari now, even Governors and assembly members that will be elected on Saturday the 11th of April on the platform of other parties will also decamp to the apc to align themselves with the so called centre, can't we see that these politicians are only playing the game of chess with Nigerians? They are not foes or enemies as we think, its only a game so why all the stress,
Please let's pledge Peace for our beloved Nation. Stop all of what? Is the OP the Oba that started it? Why drag our politicians into a major goof by a revered Oba? ? Pls call a spade a spade. BTW, methinks the OP is only making light of the situation, so his post calmed more nerves than yours that is reminding us of the treachery of politicians. |

CHM11: Lagos is the second to Last of the Losers. Rivers, Delta, Bayelsa, Akwaibom and even cross Rivers lose more than Lagos. Only Edo state in the South south that is not losing higher than Lagos in terms of what you contribute to federal government purse to what you receive difference.
Internally generated revenue in Lagos stays in Lagos and I think Lagos pays tax to the federal government while the revenue generated from oil wells in the south south belongs to the federal government. |

Texcoco: You mean thieffnubu??.. Of course nah, we all know when they say APC; they're indirectly saying Thiefnuboo. I don't buy all that party supremacy bullcrap they spewed, the truth is that it just dawned on the looter-in-chief of Lagos treasury that the sick old certificate forger may not allow him choose ministers for juicy ministries, so he now wants to indirectly use their so called party supremacy(which is actually Thiefnuboo supremacy)to realise his selfish wish. Bunch of deceptive, evil, satanic, hypocritical, corrupt crooks. |

Politics › Re: Delta State Guber Race: Who Is Your Choice Among The Three Top Contenders by Myself2(m): 10:34am On Apr 08, 2015 |
literarymathy: The issue here is very simple and needs no ranting or rambling upon. Ogboru is supposed to win "theoretically" based upon his precedent as an unacknowledged gubernatorial election winner for more than 12 years and counting. However, he has an unlucky and ill-thought knack towards insignificant political parties. He relies on grass root politics when he knows that in Delta State, the grass root voters have little or no say in elections. He refuses to romance the political elites and wring their sympathies towards his favour. That said, it is also important to know that Urhobos, though have the majority of Delta State votes, cannot deliver Ogboru as governor. Moreso with the dilemma of Emerhor who is also aspiring under the platform of APC. The Aniomas and Ijaws effectively constitute half of Delta State's votes while the Urhobos and Isokos constitute the other half. The first half is strong and have a consensus candidate in the person of Okowa whereas the second half is torn and divided between two candidates in the persons of Ogboru and Emerhor. This is a political anomaly for the Urhobos. Sadly and realistically speaking, OKOWA MAY LIKELY WIN THE ELECTION. Fortunately for all of us, Okowa may likely not go beyond a single tenure because other parties, especially APC, will strategise and employ national strength to wring PDP into the opposition in Delta State Politics. Fortunately again, in the next four years, Okowa will have to be as impersonal, non-tribalistic and as hardworking as he can because the game of politics has grown more matured in Nigeria as a whole.
IT IS WELL!!! See your mouth Why is it sad for you that Okowa will win I disagree with you that Ogboye had been winning elections in Delta state, those are just old wives fables given undue notoriety over nothing. You seem to underestimate the political sagacity and shrewdness of Okowa, once all Deltans have a taste of him and compare him with the abysmal performance of his Urhobo and Itsekiri predecessors in the persons of Ibori and Uduaghan, they will not only reward him with a second term but would wish he could rule for three terms |

barcanista: I have read this Oba/Igbo squabbles and I feel so irritated that the revered royal stool is being denigrated. What Kabiyesi Akiolu said was inappriopriate and uncalled for but we shouldn't allow that to be a platform to insult the Oba. If not for his age but for the seat he occupies. No catholic will be happy to see the Pope insulted neither will a Bini son smile when Oba of Benin is abused. We should try to refrain ourselves from causing more damage. Open confrontation is not the best way to douse the situation.

There is only ONE serious contender for governor of Delta state and that's Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, he is the only candidate that enjoys state-wide acceptance and support.Ogboru used to be an ethnic (Urhobo)candidate in previous elections, but now Okowa is well loved among the Urhobos, not forgetting the little matter of O'tega Emerhor r who though is the weakest of the three is equally running as an ethnic (Urhobo) candidate, so the Urhobo votes will be split between the three of them, while Okowa will smile home with over 98% of the Ijaw, Itsekiri, Ndokwa, Ika, Aniocha and Oshimili votes.Okowa will win with a wide margin |

I am totally ashamed and gutted by the Oba's behaviour. It is classless and reduced his position to one of madness. I lost respect for the man.
I originally wanted ambode to win, now I think I would prefer Jimi because of the rubbish the mad Oba said. The igbos shall not drown in any water and they will vote based on their conscience.
