Betterman99:
Time for Direct posting is here

Information for action by Deans/HOD's

The Ag. DG NYSC notified us at the 2023 Batch A premobilization workshop that Batch A PCMs will report to camp on 25th January 2023. After that, there will be no mobilization till June. The forthcoming General Elections in February & March 2023 and the Population Census in April are the major factors behind this.
Deans and HOD's are requested to expedite processing of final year students' results for executive approval latest by Wednesday this week. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation in ensuring that our graduates get mobilised for NYSC.

Need so clarification on the validity of this statement.

Does this mean that Batch A stream 1 and 2 would be passing out together?

I use small towels so they're easy to wash anytime I want to do laundry. I do my laundry 2 to 3 times weekly.

OP since you've been told that it's a fungi infection, get fluconazole at the pharmacy and ask for the right prescription.

Also, fungi skin infections are very difficult to get rid off so you have to be on preventive therapy. if not it'll keep going and coming.

Please get it treated before it gets really aggressive.

BlueRayDick:
So I prepared this stir fry spaghetti yesterday, but due to the domestic incident that followed it's consumption I couldn't post.

So I prepared the spag and devoured it almost immediately, but when I was done eating I noticed I was experiencing some discomfort somewhere down my throat. Then it hit me, the shell/Legs of the dried prawn I used for the spag had hooked my throat and was causing serious pain.

I tried everything I could to have it forced out but I couldn't. The more I tried, the more the pain down my oesophagus increased. I even dipped my hands down my throat to throw up as much as I can but yet the particle causing the pain never came out. I even followed some YouTube videos that required one to take coke or olive oil when food particles get stuck in the throat but nothing came out.

I eventually ended up in the hospital. The doctor who happens to be a childhood friend whom we grew up together in Sunday school told me I just have to keep drinking warm water and allow the particle drop down my stomach by itself over time. An alternative to this is for her to refer me to ENT specialist who will perform a procedure and remove it. She gave me a drug to relieve the inflammation around the area sha.

Well, I woke up this morning and it appears like she predicted the particle already dropped down my stomach. I only feel slight pain from the sore the particle made from my constant efforts at trying to force it out yesterday.

Why am I posting this long story? It's for us all to be careful when swallowing these food items especially seafood. As we keep safe this period, let's also eat safe ó. For me no more dried prawn in meals for now cheesy

I can only imagine what you went through. Thank God you're fine.

What I do when cooking with dried prawns, is to remove the head, legs and sharp bottom.

Health / Re: Coronavirus / COVID-19 Question & Chat Thread by mzhazel(f): 8:14pm On Aug 14, 2020
Some weeks ago, a family friend who is a doctor in Ghana came into the country. On getting into the country, his passport was seized and he was asked to get a Covid19 test in order to get it back. The next day, he took the test and his results came back positive about a week later. All the while, he had been living in our house with no physical distancing or quarantine of any sort. We were 8 people living in the house along with him.

When we heard the news, we were certain we all had the disease and from that point onwards,he (family friend) confined himself to his room. The only symptoms I can say he had were cough, occasional sneezes and he told me he couldn't sleep well at night. So the wait began. We started waiting for the rest of us to start exhibiting symptoms. One week passed, two weeks, nothing. We were all healthy, no symptoms whatsoever. It got to a point that he stopped wearing face masks in the house and just mingled freely with everyone.

It was a very confusing experience for me, so confusing that up till now I don't understand if he really had the virus or not. Other people in the house are of the view that he was wrongly diagnosed. But he(family friend) says it's possible he had it, seeing he's a doctor along with the fact that he had just come in from Ghana with other doctors.

Career / Ladies Business Casual Attire: Guidelines To Follow by mzhazel(f): 9:57pm On Jul 25, 2020
It’s indeed a jolly feeling that comes with finally getting an interview invite after you’ve been job hunting for a while. Also notable, is the euphoric feeling that comes with landing a job at your dream organization. These feelings are two of the best feelings in the world. But your letter says, dress code is business casual. Then you get confused and for good reason too, business casual is an ambiguous term. For men, it could simply mean “without a tie” while for ladies, it takes on a more complex approach to actually appear in business casual.
One thing you can be sure of is that business casual doesn’t mean showing up in your best shorts, dresses, sandals or flip flops. What’s more, showing up all suited up is definitely too formal.

What is Business Casual for Women?

Business casual came into existence as a result of need to be comfortable while still appearing professional in the business environment. It’s safe to say the days of three piece suits are almost behind us as business and smart casual are quickly becoming the order of the day.

For different organizations, business casual means different things. However, there are basics that cut across all organizations. The major rule to appearing in a business casual manner is to dress smartly without appearing too formal.
Your aim, should be to appear refined without having to wear a suit or other very formal attire. The key to dressing business casual is to mix tailored outfits or your traditional office wear with more relaxing fashion forward pieces. See below for guidelines to choosing your outfits.

Business Casual Tops for Ladies

Business casual gives more freedom to the sort of top you wear. You’re allowed to experiment with bright colours as long as you tune them down with neutral and soft coloured bottoms.

The overall rules are to keep the neckline modest and if your top is bothering on the sheer side, wear a camisole.

Tops to consider include: short sleeved button up or down shirts either made with cotton, silk or any lightweight synthetic material; blouses that are nicely fitted or loose in an elegant way; tank tops to wear underneath blazers; jackets; sweaters and cardigans.

Business Casual Skirts

Skirts are a quick hack for appearing business casual. They are versatile pieces and every woman could do with a number of them in her wardrobe.

When shopping for them, go for trendy styles but keep in mind that pencil skirts are usually the way to go.

Pleated skirts and A line skirts also go well with the business casual dress code. Make sure that the length (knee-length and below) and slit are modest and appropriate.

Business Casual Pants for Ladies

Think neutral and solid colours when shopping for your business casual pants.

Dark colours such as: black, grey and brown work best. However, regarding style, chic and trendy pieces that are perfectly tailored are a great choice.

Your pants made of soft fabric that’ll keep you feeling comfortable all day.

When in doubt of what sort of pants to wear, go for khaki or cotton pants.

It's not about the role but the personalities involved.

The female ones I have encountered don't spill jack about stuff they know.

There's one in particular who is as hard as nails, if you held a knife to her neck she still won't share info, if you don't need to know.

I'm sharing my personal experience this is not a gender something, no one should come for my head o abeg.

@ Slaywife, your diary was enjoyable, it reminded me of all the good novels I've read over time. The story of your life will make a best selling book.

Mzhazel thanks for sharing a portion of that diary, for the first time in my NL history I visited the diaries section and it was worth my time. cheesy

You're welcome, @Klass99. I find @Slaywife's story really inspiring. She's a queen, I stan.

Seun:
Every safety tool can be said to give people a false sense of protection. Seat belts. Condoms. Motorcycle helmets. People who oppose safety tools always use that as an excuse. The reality is that the danger of false confidence in a safety tool pales in comparison to the danger of having no protection at all. This is why people should wear seat belts, condoms, helmets, and face-masks. Asians wear face masks and the imaginary false confidence hasn’t stopped it from helping them. Doctors wear it too. People are smart enough to understand that face-masks, just like seatbelts, helmets, and condoms, do not offer complete protection.
I don't oppose safety tools. All I'm saying is for people not to use one safety tool while ignoring other safety measures.
Business / Re: Gtbank Overcrowded This Morning: Social Distancing Disregarded by mzhazel(f): 12:14pm On May 04, 2020
Face masks give people a false sense of protection. They don't realize that for it to be effective, social distancing is a must too.

No lockdown.
My side has been tight. Kaduna. We only go out Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8 am to 6 pm.
To restock.
Please I'm very broke and almost running out of essentials. Please anyone in Kaduna can hit me up. I'm willing to work for Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I don't mind if I can't get an extension of days. I really need funds for sustainability as I'm here alone far from home. I can do anything legal, please.

Politics / Re: Should Africa Consider The Nuclear Energy Route? by mzhazel(f): 11:17am On Apr 22, 2020
We're not ready for a nuclear power plant. With the sort of leaders we have in Nigeria, the chances of seeing what happened in Chernobyl happen again, is high. Note that, the Chernobyl nuclear power plant exploded because of a design flaw and lies upon lies.
The people governing us here in Nigeria are liars as well as thieves. They'll only use about 60% of allocated funds to build and embezzle the rest. Thus, leading to a substandard power plant full of flaws and built on a foundation of lies.

Thanks for your recommendation.

No light and heat is too much.

If you haven't yet gotten a fan, another reason you should consider Andrakk is that they also sell solar panels. You can just place it permanently by your window or wherever you think it'll get adequate sunlight and it'll charge your fan all day.
