Magnoliaa:Hi Magnoliaa, are you still upset with me? I'm really sorry for every bad thing I said to you 🌹🌺 |
Nigerians exaggerate how much politicians embezzle. They're good at mentioning unrealistic and impossible figures of embezzlement. The real corruption against poor Nigerians are committed by ordinary Nigerians in civil and public service. That being said, Nigerian Air or whatever wasn't necessary in the first place. A bankrupt country had no business starting an aviation business when it is not a necessity. |
jahsharon:Why are you homophobic? Why do you think that respect for the rights of others is a mental illness? |
Though he will make billions of dollars from his refinery, it is my opinion that taking the risk to build a refinery of that magnitude is enough Corporate Social Responsibility to Nigerians. |
The very reason Peter Obi will never be the President of Nigeria. |
My mother was a secondary school student and my father was a new wig. They hadn't met yet and I wasn't in the picture. |
beejaay:I'm not Yoruba. I don't hate Igbos. Anything I say against that unique ethnic group is a reaction. I don't hate Igbos. |
Blackmailing, insulting and ridiculing was the worst possible way to have countered a presidential candidate who contested to ignite Abiola sentiments. Let me break it down: Abiola was Yoruba Muslim loved by Northerners. Abiola contested with a Kanuri Muslim as vice. A Northerner was the head of State when Abiola contested. Abiola was blackmailed for drug trafficking. Arthur Nzeribe led the movement for the annulment of Abiola's election. It was in '93 Abiola's slogan was hope and Tinubu came in 2023 with a near perfect similarity to renew that hope. I reiterate: Blackmailing, insulting and ridiculing was the worst possible way to have countered a presidential candidate who contested to ignite Abiola sentiments. |
beejaay:God Forbid. I don't hate the Igbos. |
KingOfIsoko1:Honest question: Does being gay affect the price of garri in the market? Why can't you Stone age creatures mind your business? |
The LGBT community must be protected in Nigeria. The 10th NASS must repeal violent legislations targeted at non-binary people in the country. Nigeria must respect the FHR of citizens. |
I support Arrewa! |
What's it with bad news from my Port Harcourt? IPOB , comot eyes from my state! When we fight back una go begin to cry victim. Be warned 😡 |

The bible is fake and since Mohammed PBUH just copied parts of the old testament, the Koran is worse. The Jewish God is not the same today, tomorrow and forever. Technology and advancement in science changes God. In the bible He stopped the tower of Babel because humans were aiming high. Today there's the Burj khalifa and Elon Musk's rockets he can't stop. Bible is just another superhero comic book and God is a mythical creation. |
mrvitalis:... and even large scale interstate transportation of agricultural products. The heavy-duty trucks, and trailers use diesel. |
walex2:NNPC is a holding company because it has subsidiaries. I had no idea about its subsidiaries. That's the only thing that makes it a holding company according to 381 of CAMA 2020. The Federal Government is the only shareholder in NNPC because of section 53 of the PIA. The shares of NNPC are transferrable but must be done in an open manner, the bidding process by prospective shareholders must be open and endorsed by the National Economic Council. |
walex2: I agree, NNPC is a holding company because I just read that it has subsidiaries. That's the only thing that makes it a holding company. It doesn't mean the directors can be sacked without due process. |
walex2:There's a procedure for that and it must be followed. |
Orji betrayed Tinubu, he should have fought to finish. |
If there's no other reason he is rated higher than Sir Alex Fergie, it's the fact that Guardiola won his first 2 champions league trophies by defeating the Manchester United team that Ferguson managed. |
walex2:NNPC is a limited liability company incorporated by the Corporate Affairs Commission under the Companies and Allied Matters Act 2020 as directed by section 53 of the PIA. They must follow due procedure to remove their director/directors. NNPC is not a holding company, if it were, it would end with the word "Holdings" as mandated by CAMA 2020. |
FreeStuffsNG:It means the Federal High Court will nullify his removal as a director. Understand the implication of NNPC being a privately owned company. It means that just like Dangote refinery, for instance, the directors of the company who are the minds of the company will be responsible for the day to day running of the business. The Federal government who do not understand the economics involved in demand and supply of the goods and services of the NNPC has no business determining the prices as a shareholder. That's the function of the directors. |
FreeStuffsNG:Procedure for removing a director according to section 288 of CAMA 2020: 1) A company may by ordinary resolution remove a director before the expiration of his period of office, notwithstanding anything in its articles or in any agreement between the company and him. (2) A special notice is required of any resolution to remove a director under this section, or to appoint some other person instead of a director so removed, at the meeting at which he is removed, and on receipt of notice of an intended resolution to remove a director under this section, the company shall immediately send a copy of the notice to the director concerned and (whether or not he is a member of the company) and is entitled to be heard on the resolution at the meeting. (3) Where notice is given of an intended resolution to remove a director under this section and the director concerned makes, with respect to it, representations in writing to the company (not exceeding a reasonable length) and requests their notification to members of the company, the company shall, unless the representations are received by it too late for it to do so— (a) in any notice of the resolution given to members of the company, state the fact of the representations having been made ; and (b) send a copy of the representations to every member of the company to whom notice of the meeting is sent (whether before or after receipt of the representations by the company), and if a copy of the representations is not sent as required in this section because it is received too late or because of the company’s default, the director may (without prejudice to his right to be heard orally) require that the representations are read out at the meeting : Provided that copies of the representations need not be sent out and the representations need not be read out at the meeting if, on the application either of the company or any other person who claims to be aggrieved, the court is satisfied that the rights conferred by this section are being abused to secure needless publicity for defamatory matter and the court may order the company’s costs on an application under this section to be paid in whole or in part by the director, notwithstanding that he is not a party to the application. (4) A vacancy created by the removal of a director under this section, if not filled at the meeting at which he is removed, may be filled as a casual vacancy. (5) A person appointed director in place of a person removed under this section is treated, for the purpose of determining the time at which he or any other director is to retire, as if he had become director on the day on which the person in whose place he is appointed was last appointed a director. (6) Nothing in this section is taken as depriving a person removed under it of compensation or damages payable to him in respect of the termination of his appointment as a director or of any appointment terminating with that as director, or as derogating from any power to remove a director which may exist apart from this section. I doubt your news. If it's true, then Tinubu's legal advisers are wrong. |
FreeStuffsNG:Okay, but can you remove a director without the agreement of the members at a general meeting? |
Isn't NNPC a private company? |
It's only easy for wealthy children when they become exactly what their parents want them to be. It's really difficult when you go against your father's desire. He has everything in the world to stop you. He can order most employers not to give you jobs. His friends who should be your connections will be ordered not to help you with a dime. He will make sure that you don't see enough money to fund your dreams and passion. He can even make the passport worthless so that you don't travel out. I know it's an unpopular opinion, Davido deserves credit because he fought against the will of one of the most influential men in Nigeria to become a musician. |
Girlee, come to Port Harcourt. There's a place for you in my house! ❤️ |
Delusional much 😂 |

I am not sure he got FG's approval for the price adjustment. He just interpreted the removal of subsidy as automatic right to hike price without exhaustive input from FG
