I did more than 5 hours power washing a friend’s floor (about 200sqm), those stuffs are back after 4 months.

Technically one can have an unlimited cantilever span provided one has more than twice the weight (from the mass/length of the span) on the other side acting as a counterbalance.

The problem is that the beam depth(as in thickness /deepness lol) increases with the span. At a point, it becomes uneconomical

In the design, we have 2 beams - 6m and 1.2m. The shorter beam was designed as a cantilevered beam and longer beam was designed as a simply supported beam.
