bolu1986:I’m not a pastor pls. Don’t add jara bro! My conscience is not dead. Na money I no get! |
The last time I sent N50k, I planned sending more fund but he said send what you have first as a commitment. Later I saw a different post on brabus here and I was amazed. The chats are there! |
If you want to collect money from a bank, do you stay outside the bank shouting “XYZ bank is bad!” |
Roytimidgreat:I refuse to be dragged into this talk but I know I truly care. Even though Mr. Somehow has deleted some of our last chats, he will not say I don’t care because I told him what I intend to do but he’d rather come here to launch vicious attacks on me and my business and I felt maybe that is more important to him than getting his money. I know there was no issue when I was completely silent here. It seems like that’s what everyone want I’m sorry to share the good stuffs happening around me and I’m very sorry how it makes many people who wish I should be begging on the street feel! |
folmus:Smiles 😂😂😂 I met the young chap handling my structural designs around Langbasa jetty in 2014. He was holding some drawings that he want to deliver to clients in Ajah axis and I approached him to have a chat with him. Around that time, I was on a project designed by one of Nigeria’s finest contemporary architect, Tona Ladega and there was serious challenge getting approval to move to site due to some review/revisions needed to be made to the design. So the client asked me to take over the redesigning of the structure to secure approval to commence construction. The young chap did an amazing job on that project. Since then I’ve kept him as a member of my team and I’ve introduced him to a lot of clients, projects and partners . He was the one I charged with the responsibility of liasing with the DetWilson team when we wanted to order bulletproof glass for one of our projects. He was the one who redesigned the structure of Nonuolets by NextHome in 2021 when the original designer wanted to start playing games. He’s currently understudying the structural engineer who designed the structure with 16.1m unsupported beams carrying 4 floors in my ongoing project. He worked on 99% of the structural drawings of the projects I handled here since 2015. I’m happy to support him with tools, resources and opportunities that can make him grow. As a tradition in NextHome and incentive to do more, I recently gave him a 16gb 256gb SSD 10th Gen laptop. He’s already preparing for our next project. ===•=••====== The koko of my long story is why should I bother about someone charging 20k to draw a plan calling me thief. Unfortunately, he needs me more than I need him. If the derogatory comment he’s passing can float his boat, he should continue to rock it. Na oja oyingbo |
MeineMutter:Please don’t forget to share the link with me. I want to do window shopping. enquiries@nexthomebuilders.ng |
sonnie10:Smiles. I was once promised a bike 🏍 on this loop. I didn’t see anything 🌚 That’s a lovely toy you’ve got over there. It should deliver full charge to a 20V lithium battery in less than 1 hour. That means more juice to power your cordless tools unhindered. 🔌 |
MeineMutter:My cordless circular saw have 3 ni-cd battery but I’m. converting to 24V lithium. I’ve tested it with a converter and it worked great. Thanks once again for your time. I got value! |
MeineMutter:I like this! This remind me of the Nairaland Properties of the Egunmogaji, Lastpage, Diordavies, ericko2k2, spyder880 and the likes back in the days |
MeineMutter:Can you let me into some of the stuffs you do in woodworking? I get challenged and inspired seeing what others are doing. |
MeineMutter:I’d probably consider in the future but for now I’d take a pass. I’m currently swamped with work. Once again, thanks so much for your thoughtfulness. You matter! |
MeineMutter:Even though I have the passion, I do not have the energy and time and my joiner, Mukaila is too rustic and layback. He’s not hungry at all! Let me just be juggling fatherhood and construction biz jejely. |
MeineMutter:We will check it out! I have one cordless circular saw with Ni-CD that I’m planning to convert to lithium soon. It’s a game changer on multi-floor projects. You know how it feels when you work with cordless tools. If I have my way, I want to go cordless and brushless 💯 |
MeineMutter:Very correct! 💯 |
MeineMutter:The only thing I don’t have are the things I really don’t need. I have a mitre saw (though dated now as it always sit down most times) and those Malaysian circular saws can do nice crosscuts as well. They’re not as bad as projected though. I think investing in a good blade really helped those toys come out with smooth cutting with outstanding accuracy. Total is really doing great. I pick their rotary hammer drill recently and it performed excellently well. I was just eating concrete with finesse like shortbread. It’s nice having you around bro! Thanks for sharing 🙏 ============ On Mafell and Festool, I’d read them up and see if I can add them to my tool bank.

Till moment, I have never for once begged to be on any project In my life and I will never. If anyone have an evidence that I begged for a job here or elsewhere, he/she should please bring it forward. Projects find me where I’m sitting sipping my kunu That’s where God is bigger than mankind. Trust in the Lord with all your hearts and lean not on your own “I’ll destroy him” understanding. |
gbadexy:Amen bro! The last I’ll ever do is to pray for the downfall of other people. No matter what they do! It’s that confidence that keeps me going and growing. That’s why you hardly see me abuse or react negatively towards trolls. But there’s always a simple prayer (in yoruba) I do say all the time “Ko ri fun mi, bi ero okan mi si e. Ko ri fun e, bi ero okan re si mi.” May it be unto me according to my wishes/heart desires for you. May it be unto you according to your wishes/heart desires for me. Amen 🙏 ========= Whatever you feed grows

Bolu1986, this is for you and other POP guys here pls. I’m currently working on a hollow clay brick slab and I want to plan ahead for the POP installation. I intend to pass galvanized binding wire through the slab Formwork at 400 c/c The other option is to install threaded bolts in the slab. I’ve seen the way some contractor did the installation and I’m not comfortable with it. In one site, I notice they drive concrete nails into the slab and hook their pop to it. In another site (picture attached), I notice they break the hollow bricks and put nails tied with binding wire into the bricks to provide anchor for the pop ceiling Which option will you prefer? Or how would you have loved to provide good support for your POP ceiling under hollow clay brick slab? Thanks in anticipation of a reply. ========== Valuable contributions from other pop contractors, homeowners and seasoned experts are welcome.

MeineMutter:You’re right! You don’t get much of Dewalt and Makitas here. Not even from big outlets. I’m gradually upgrading my tools though. We do those Malaysian toys because they’re good enough to get the job done. It’s not like we are running a sawmill. ======== Anyone with pictures of original Dewalt 235mm Circular Saw and Dewalt Planer being used on their construction project should please share with me 🌚 I want to learn

Na why I talk say “I refuse to be tempted to show off” because you will start thinking I have money and I no wan pay ni. All these una online attacks dey really affect me Make una pity my condition abeg 🙏 |
Iriruaga100:Big bro! Why nau ![]() I be your blood nau. |
Now we have an October 2023 tools to work with 🌚 |
kopell:Really ![]() You really hit hard baba and I’ve decided to get a new toy for my carpenters to replace the 18 months old Total Circular Saw we are currently using. I name the new toy “Kopell” and the old one is now known as “Nairaland” Efficiency is everything to us at NextHome. That’s why we invest a lot on tools of trade. 😂😂😂
|
Feel free to share the details of such project if you have one. 😂😂😂 I know you cook a lot in your head sir but feel free to provide details of such project to your teeming fans here. Have you ever seen me working as subcontractor on any project? Here or elsewhere?? Baba kopell, sell another one. You know I have never lobbied for projects here before. My works speak for me. Make I give you another one. One of those N300m per plot estate in Lagos state is asking me to do beautification of one of their park spaces as part of NextHome’s CSR project. These are the kinds of music I love to hear and not these una small talks. I don’t eat small fries again. Trust me, when I see a penalty. It’ll enter the net! 😂😂😂 ========== In life, your circle matters a lot! |
rmx:Bought 25 tonnes at 530k per tonne yesterday. Unfortunately, the only way out is to keep moving forward.
|
Godisgreatest1 Abeg do you have idea of where I can get a 300kg gantry hoist. I’m currently working at a level where it’s no longer easy moving materials up. You know it’s part of our tradition to automate processes in NextHome. T for thanks.
|
Even if na my IB project, shey dem dey rent scaffold for N400m ![]() Qsfemi (wey chop my 200k) can confirm the project is over N400m and na me still be the main contractor 🌚 |
bolu1986:Can you share the project I hope it’s not this one 🌚 I can’t even think of any project I’ve been asked to come and handle scaffold in this life or the life before 😂😂 If na the one below, na me still be the main contractor for the remodel project.
|
The reason we no longer share projects is because of the monitoring spirits on this platform. Happy Independence to you all! |
bolu1986:Smiles. Imagine how much you’ll make handling POP of 42 apartments 🌚 You know I don’t do POP so you actually need it more than I do. I’m not even the scaffolder. I’m just a photographer but na my name dey board as the main contractor and na my office design the structure 😂😂😂
