which brand is this? which is more durable between tempered and laminate? Which are you using for this windows in the build?
A glass can either be tempered, laminated, frosted, or tinted. Those are classes of glass and not brand names.

Hmmmm I'm watching this closely if it won't break the bank, I may borrow this idea for one of my projects to serve as a sky sunlight for solar water heater on the covered roofing system. This idea may sound crazy but I love to create crazy ideas anyway. Buson, I know you're a very creative Youngman that thinks outside the box in most of your projects, In reference to the glass above, which glass is better in absorbing sunlight to solar panel underneath atrium Tampered, Laminated or Plastic? My idea is to use one of these that will give better result to the solar water heating system.
That’s one smart idea not just crazy. I saw something like that on fine homebuilding - solar panels disguised as skylight. It passes natural daylight while meeting the energy needs of the house.

Elon Musk ain’t smarter than us all na grin

_______

You’d be fine with any of the above but plastic.

Can you share more light on this? May be my glasses are not on me ooo, what I thought am seeing there is glass. Is the roofing going to glass abi bawo oooo? I need to move my seat to front in the class
Baba, your eyes ain't deceiving you and we are not performing magic. The 2.1 x 2.4m glass is going up the roof to cover the atrium.

My client actually requested for a house that tick all the boxes without breaking the bank. This is just one of the many interesting features of this build.

Ibadan Again? | Redefining the city skyline.

The planning of buildings, city blocks and public spaces determines how businesses, governments, civic organizations, and neighbors come together and interact as a community.

~ Laura Bush, then-First Lady of the United States

We’re happy to be invited to submit bid for these luxury multi-dwelling build in the heart of the ancient city of Ibadan, Nigeria.

We believe community development is more about the people than real estate, so our designs and constructions should reflect the community's values.

Watch out for Ibadan Nonuplets
A silent member asked “Why don’t you undertake multiple projects like most builders?”

grin grin

I have my families look after. I have my private life to worry about. I have my clients to satisfy. I have my business to manage. I have my protégées in higher institutions to mentor.

Achieving a healthy work-life balance requires managing our professional and personal life in a way that keep our energy flowing, our minds and bodies healthy and our social life happy and content.

Besides, as someone who works a full-time on top of all my projects, I have to be “picky” on the projects I take on.

The Ibadan nonuplets is a project one want to put in his prayer request grin grin
Imagine I’ve engaged myself in too many projects up and down, I might not be able to free up myself to be on this.

Ibadan on my mind. Welcome back to city of birth, Brabus grin

DUNKA:
Thanks. How interpretable are your designs to an average builder? grin
I know in coming days my client will reveal himself to the platform and share his experience with us on this journey. His understanding and maturity really helped us on this build.

The designs are pretty easy but an average builder might miss all the details badly if he’s coming with a conventional mindset.

Even a certified QS miss it in his estimate/bill for framing. My client don’t know this yet but I’d share all the learnings and all the critical nodes later on this thread

A builder and an architect building a similar structure near me (smaller in size) terribly missed it that they have to tear down 1/4 of their building to introduce supplemental columns and a new foundation. They were still battling DPC yesternight even though both project kickoff almost the same time.

There are several lessons to learn from this build, our processes, cost-saving strategies and how to keep your project moving in midst of the storm.

Please feel free to ask us any question about this build or any other construction related issues.

DUNKA:
Good one baba. Please do you handle projects up north?
When asked this similar question about 6 years ago, here’s my response:

brabus:
Yes but when I can do this is what I don't know. Why you may want to ask?

This is because the key to NextHomes' business model's success is in the attention to the details, creative outsourcing and collaboration. However, can I guarantee the same level of quality if a client's job is delegated? No! One person cannot possibly generate the amount of bandwidth the NextHome business model requires – I need help to serve all your needs.

Until I'm able to replicate as many Brabus as NextHome requires, our services will be limited to only clients within 3 - 5km radius of our Lekki Office.

However, if time-to-deliver is not of essence, then we game grin grin Otherwise, I'll simply let this pass!

Saying NO is never easy, but it is necessary at this moment as we are trying to maintain a high level of quality in all of our engagements. Saying YES to a client, and then doing a bad job due to lack of interest or time, is much, much worse in the long run than just saying NO.

Thank you for your interest in our service.
Update: For now, our services is limited to the following locations (Lekki • Ibeju • Epe • Ajah • Abeokuta • Ijebu Ode • Arepo/Magboro/Isheri • Oshodi/Isolo • Victoria Island • Ikoyi • Ikeja • Ibadan) only.

pls I bought about 15 SQM south African bricks.
pls which part of the front view of the building do u suggest I fix th bricks.thanks
I hope this is not coming too late.

You can have stonewall installed anywhere you want but the question remains “Are you doing this just to beautify the house? Or to achieve a purpose?”

For me I use stonewalls sparingly on small builds to mesh function and aesthetic and to create a beautiful space that stands the test of time.

If it was me, I’ll use the stone bricks like below. I’ll do more if it was a storey building. I so much detest rain splash on walls.

Yes, it blows in 4 direction and the beauty of it is that you can control the openings in some model.

You achieve better airflow with this type of AC.
