Wittytraveller:. @ Wittytraveller, the only update available is that the consultant has finally submitted the report of the concluded interview of the Head Office Positions sometimes last week and from reliable insider, the NERC will invite 4 to 5 Candidates for each position for the final stage of the process i.e the nerc interview itself. That's the position of things @ d moment, prayers is the key now.. best of luck to all. |
Buchio, am doing great hope u r too.. |
@ Wittytraveller, your info is partly correct and partly incorrect, while the NERC has plans to conclude the recruitment process soon and move to their permanent site, they have not call any candidate for the NERC interview (HQ). Infact I have it on good authority they are yet to receive the report from Restral, I was in the nerc on 24th and a call was placed to the Restral they said they will submit their report in January 2015, and someone said d delay by Restral to submit the report may be due to the inability of Nerc to pay Restral fully and that may be d reason why Restral are still holding d report cos they have since finished compiling the report of all the interview done by them. Best of luck to all anticipating candidates and happy holiday..m |
In line with d House's policy on informing d house after interview what transpired. I had my interview this afternoon for Assistant manager enforcement, questions were asked from different angles, job roles, structure of the Power industry, past experience highlight as it affects your job role, how to measure KPI for your job role, drafting process of a legislation and the intention of setting bulk electricity trading co. These are the ones I could remember. The interview was Ok, they were testing one's general knowledge on the industry, level of confidence and ability to express yourself effectively and efficiently.. above all, we give God the glory and pray for his guidance on the outcome, thank you... |
@ furrylow, I believe you are correct, I also got that info when I wanted to fill d candidate information sheet 4 d interview, didn't wanna do that blindly.. quote too less as Expected remuneration, it's a wahala, quote too high is anoda wahala.. On another note to share with the House, some1 high up there in NERC was credited with d statement that this whole recruitment exercise will be concluded by December 2014, that atleast that's their target depending on completion of their permanent head office and that, that's what's holding up the release of d zonal recruitment, they want them released together, so pls is there anyone to confirm/corroborate this info? |
u3fine:@ U3fine, I applied, shortlisted and invited for the role of Assistant Manager, Enforcement (legal division). Thank you... |
Congrats to all invited candidates, I also received mine today to be held on Nov 4 @ Asokoro, Abuja... to God be the Glory (Alhamdulillah).. |
Hello House, sm1 helped checked my scores, I got 35% which was the highest from my region (NorthEast) at least for the Managerial position, yet that's a fail mark, but the person said may be, I would be contacted for an interview, cos they decided to pick additional candidates higher scores but not up to d pass marks according to regions.. thought I should share this info with the house, but I can't help anyone ask this person to check his/her scores, a pre-warning.. Best of luck to all of us out there struggling for a better tomorrow.. |
Interestingly, I was in a meeting today from my office with 2 Deputy Directors from CBN and I asked them about the recruitment, whether they have concluded and they said it's still ongoing but only if you have sm1 that can push buttons for you... |
dano123: @ bull n bear, u are d person dat said that they are creating additional zonal office, and now, u quote what u post and asking question, i am lost ohhhh!Abeg help me ask am oo, Lol... |
buchio7: When U say dis years applicants do U mean those dat applied for head quarter posts?Yes, exactly.. |
buchio7: Updates peopleI heard d consultant would be submitting d shortlist of this year Applicants 2 d commission by nextweek, reliably. |
u3fine: For Test or Appl?I think grandious is referring to d Head office recruitment of this year so its 4 test not interview.. |
Grandious G: HQ shortlisted to be contacted real soonThanks for d info, but real soon could be anytime... We need a definitive time. This month, next month, january 2014? |
Dankande: i have gotten my CBN appointment letter today at 6:35pm. It was sent through my mail box. I thank Allah almighty that has made it possible. There will be a two week induction course in lagos starting from 17th of this month.Congrats and wish you Allah's khair in ur career with CBN, Amin. |
@ Tetegh, my fellow exams mate, d truth of d matter is its not over even for us that were not called 4 interview yet, but d way things are going, one need serious miracle on d side of God cos the powers that be in abuja has hijacked d credibility of d exercise, I managed to check my scores which I got 35% and a gal we sat together whose dad is in the finance committe in d NASS got abt 15% as per her saying just concluded her medicvals on friday, while sm1 was telling me that my scores of 35% was low that's why they haven't call me yet...so ma peeps u can see how things are with this cbn recruitment, dey started with gd intention bt along d line things changed, they kept saying its an ongoing exercise particularly for those their states are yet to be filled uop, so if u know ur State is among, there cld be sm hope to get in without d niigeriAn factors odawise, na man sabi man oo. Pls where's YINKUS I haven't seen hus post of late, if u r viewing this thread pls drop a word. Thanks. |
I am happy that my friend we sat togther during d test on 19th Oct 2012 got called for medical.. For me, I havent been call for interview yet.. I wonder if the recruitment exercise is over, any one wit info regarding its continuity or otherwise pls share... |
lolakoods: For those carrying rumors about this recruitment process, be informed that Restral has proceeded to d next stage for the Zonal applicants. I just got an interview invite today. please note that I only know God and nobody else. I pray that those who have kept the faith and have been positive will also get their invites soon.Thank you for sharing this post, congrats and best of luck in d interview..m when I earlier posted that some level of merit would be followed in this recruitement, sm1 wanted 2 crucify me and said that I am been unnecessarily optimistic and livinG on false hope, now d reality has began to manifest... Am sure our own (the general Hq) would soon follow suit. Let's keep hope alive. |
Carsonv: Oboy! Anybody wey dey wait for NERC should please go start cassava cultivation. I just got news from a DGM in NERC that all vacancies have been filled and no more interview/test or whatever crap you wanna subject yourselves to. Forgive my cynicism!Lol, Nairalanders and speculations. My guy u made laugh actually,.. Despite the Nigerian factor in our system of recruitment and so on, your submission can not be true. First, no matter how nerc wants to do magu magu, they must atleast seem to follow d procedure for fear of been criticised, FCC requirement that interview must be carried out, the suopervisory minstry is there to check their activities, not to talk of NASS can summon them on this, infact d CEO can enter problem if what u said happened, don't forget this recruitment adcvert is one of the higly publicised in recent time, what explanations would they give to thousand of applicants. Apart from that, I have been following the issue closely, as u have dgm so do I, and just yesterday d executive chairman had a meeting with all d staff where the issue of recruitment came up and he told them, that restral is still in process of both recruitment and would likely submit d shortlist for d HQ vacancy by second week of october to d mgt for approval to call pple for test that's by that time also they might have concluded d assessment of the zonal recruitment. Nobody is doubting that there would be serious Nigerian factor in the coming recruitement cos of the limited space and 2 many applicants but not to d extent of employing pple without following d due process, what u can tell me and I could agree is that they aready have people they wanna fill in the vacancy slots with, that's understandable, even at that they must mix it with some merit list, things are not done the way u enumerated in ur post my guy... So am with alfa-john on this, ur post is full of negativity and discouraging to people that have hopes no matter how little it is, pls desist from jumping to wrong conclusions and baseless post. |
@ Proudly 9ja, I agree with Alfa, u shld go for it first, and when nimc apl lands u can make an informed decision, there's benfit of exeperience even if u just worked there 4 a week, u ll have that on ur CV, u r enriching ur CV, besides you never u may like it there. And on ur fear of been shipped out over seas when d apl lands, do not fear that, cos 1) I doubt if dis oil company would just ship u out immediately without some form of training which would take some time, 2) the Nimc would definitely give 1 month notice of time b4 resumption, it is the practice with FG Agencies, so in between that time u can make ur decision 3) If am to choose between an FG job whic is mostly redundant, pls no offnec my people (all nimc fans) and a job in a highly organized private sector as long as they are employing you as a graduate, I would defintely choose the Oil company even for d sake of professionalism, d pay, and also I know that one would be fully utilised unlike Govt agencies, where in some cases you can just have a table and chair and does nothng in months... So ultimately d decision is yours, ours as ur brothers n friends is just to point out to u d merits and demrits of your choices... Congrats Man... |
@ Adetowubo, F G Agencies can employ any time, there's no policy that precludes it from employing @ the end of the Year, infact I was employed by an FG Agency on 22nd November 2010 as commencement date, the APL was issued a month earlier, this is just disabuse ur mind on that point of end of year recruitment. |
Pls, where is the source of that your information and how authentic is it? Do you know any one among those people that went for the interview last week? Can any one in the house confirm this last week interview of a thing?
Sm1 I knew said d same thoing that he was invited 4 the zonal recruitment interview but he wasnnt going cos he has another offer that was better within d time he wrote d test and now, I thought he was lyiong and showing off.. He said he was invited 4 d interview as an analyst. |
makonko: Do you have the number?Let me give u d no: 0946236510. Best of luck... |
Kcbellz: Nigeria!!! should there actually be a difference between a hard copy submission and an online application. because of the dishonest and crude method of this recriutment most of us are in a confused state of mind.Submitted online bt wit the latest development am begining to have second thots. The thing is am very far frm abuja.LORD HELP US.Let me offer my own understanding between this onlie and hard copy submission, first I think if you have no intention of pressing buttons, then there's no difference, in fact even if you wanna use Nigerian factor, you can still submit online and use the pdf file sent as acknowledgment and give who ever u wanna give since ur application no is there. Secondly, in my opinion online application is even better since u r guaranteed ur application has enetered the databasa of the fcsc, unlike harcopy where it could get lost intransit or due to poor recording of staff handling the submissions as sm1 earlier narrated the wicked and non chalant attitude of pple handling the application collation. So my people, I trust the online more, unless yiu have sm1 working directly there and requested u submit d harcopy persnallly to him/her, then tahts a different case altogether.so stop been apprehensive of the online submission as long u did it correctly. |
prado1: pls house is ur humble brother again, can I upload my expired D licence?Hmmm, r u really serious with looking for this employment, u don't sound as a serious person, pardon my criticism.. You acknowledged it is expired it means you donot have a valid means of I'd. Smth that's expired what use would it be for? |
mosun35: Pls can u help us to "reliably gather" when they will call those of us that applied this year?.Sorry 4 d late reply, a friend of mine working with d Commission earlier told me it would be Sept, but now looking @ things d way they r going, volume of applications and fact dt Restral is d one handling things, I do not know how reliable his info is... Anyway my advice is 4 pple to just continue what we r doing and when dey decides to call 4 d test, we show.. I believe a lot of d applicants are already gainfully employed smwhere... So no wahala.. But if anyone has a better info regarding this pls share esoecially Gboliwe... |
Teleng: gud day pals, i am new here, pls is NERC still recruiting? if yes, hw do i go about it?The application closed on 14th August 2013. |

@ Soutions Guy, in as much as I don't subscribe to her idealogy and d corrupt system we found ourselves in, I feel ur response is quite rather too harsh, we all can't reason alike but its important we become tolerant to each others opinion and idealogies without succumbing to hars words or insults. Remember respect begets respect, it is only by kind words that one can hope to pass his/her ideas of change to others, pls my guy let's be careful of our words anywhere we find ourselves in even in an anonymous forum like this. I just felt bad after reading ur post. Hope you read this in a good light. Let's be our brothers keepers by admonishing of good behaviour and wishing each other well. Thank you. |
BJ88: Pls guys, can i use statement of result (Degree) in place of certificate? Cos presently, i don't have the certificate with me.Why not as long as it met 2 conditions: first, does it certify that you have successfully completed ur course of study and passed with ----. Secondly, is it verifiable, meaning the info there can be authenticated, then the form it carries actually doesn't matter much, its d substance and contents that matters, so no problem go ahead and use it meanwhile try and get d cert b4 interview or arm urself with a reason of its absence. |
sojiformular: wisdom is profitable to direct.@ Calculus Brain, try negotiating the terms with d skull, let it be 1 month in lieu of notice for resignation, tell them that's d industry practice. If they refuse to bulge, u ve tpo luk inward and decide what u really want. My opinion is since u already did training with nimc, u ll get d apl its just matter of time, and even though I dunno d pay for nimc or ur grade level (whether u r an experience hire or fresh graduate) atleast I know it would be better than d skul offer if u look at it wholistically. If u can wait for a little longer for nimc... Meanwhile best of luck and congrats to those that received iNEC apl... Inec is a good place... |
cyraxjay: The people that did interview on Saturday are self -centered. All they have been talking about is them them and them. What about the people that applied this year in June. Any news on them?Na so oo my bro, nobody is saying anything abt this year's recruitment, I reliably gathered that d recruitment process for June batch is going to be very competitive as there's only abt 72 vacancies and more than 60,000 applied, the requests from higly placed pple such as govs, other ministers, NASS Members has even surpassed d existing vacancies, and d commission is confused on how to proceed abt it with d high level of interest d advert has already generated and one of d commissioners said dey plan to close their eyes and just do it based on merit, so it ll be highly competitive. That's assuming if they haven't change their minds and decide to do man know man... Well, be it as it may, we should count on God's favor on this recruitment. |
welgate: To those awaiting medicals, I pray to Almighty God to hasten the CBN to call u and for those awaiting interview, I Pray to God to hasten the CBN to call u as soon as possible, AminAmeen. |
I haven't seen hus post of late, if u r viewing this thread pls drop a word. Thanks.
