AKTH did its first kidney transplant in 2003. It was done by Dr. Kamal Abu Sin- a UK based Sudanese surgeon. Subsequently Dr Paul Lear also helped the program. Since then the hospital has done several transplants- all done by its own local surgeons led by Dr Sani Alhassan.

Black Tuesday in Adamawa State as Sun set at noon.

1. Boko Haram detonated a bomb and killed over 30 worshippers who converged in a Mosque for fajr prayer in Mubi.

2. Bachama militia massacred 55 Fulanis in Numan among them are 45 children (worst crimes against humanity in recent times) 9 women and 1 man.

With reports of rise in the number of deaths from injuries in both incidences, almost 100 people were killed.

Crimes committed against Fulani are under reported or simply swept under the carpet

Tension currently high in Numan

According to this facebook user, a native of Numan LGA in Adamawa. More than a dozen Fulani men, women and children were Macheted by Bachama Militias.

Bachama tribe is the dominant tribe in Numan and they have rousy relationship with their Hausa and Fulani settlers. The bad blood is as a result of the economic and trading success of the settlers while the indigenes live a life of burukutu and sex.
