Christianity EtcRe: What Does "The Wages Of Sin Is Death" Really Means by NaijaNile: 4:31pm On Jan 02, 2022
The real definition of death is eternal separation from God.

When we 'die' physically in earth, we are only 'sleeping' as all souls will still awake to face God's judgement.

God is holy and cannot behold sin/iniquity. Therefore anyone whose sin has not been washed away by the blood of Jesus faces that risk of eternal separation from God, which is the same thing as death, which is the same things going to hell fire
FamilyRe: Mother Or First Son, Who Is Entitled To The Late Father's Property by NaijaNile: 8:01pm On Aug 09, 2021
So.. This guy has such low confidence in himself that he thinks he can never build another house in his life time, and is dragging house with his mother... His own mother o!!!!!

My advice to him:
1. He should finish the house to taste, and hand it over completely to his mother. He will receive prayers and blessings that will pave way for big things in his life

2. He should go and rent a place, even if 1room for himself and his bride. If he truly loves the girl he wants to marry he will avoid trouble by not bringing her into the house he's fighting his mother over. If the girl is stupid enough to follow him to live in the house then it means he married an unwise woman and the marriage will most likely hit the rocks.

3. Once he does 1 and 2, he now needs to continue to support his mother. He owes his siblings little or no obligations but can help if he has the means... But he has a new bride now so he has more responsibilities.

4. Continue to trust God and leave the rest to him. But in my own experience he will still build a bigger and better house if he does not disrespect his mum over one house.
RomanceRe: The Lady In My Life, My Burden. by NaijaNile: 6:34pm On Jul 28, 2020
Dude, do you see her as someone you can marry? A life partner? Does she possess the attributes you are looking for in a wife? Mother of your children? Do your goals align? If so, what you call a financial burden is not too much of a sacrifice for someone you love.
She seems to me like a lady with potentials - studious, hardworking (not beans to pass 2 MBBS exams), from a humble family who sweat it out to make ends meet. She is finding ways to progress her studies (ebooks instead of physical costly medical books). If you ask me you might have a rough diamond there.

You need to strike a balance about the finances. Sit her down and let her know you need to grow the business, and to do that you need funds. So while you support her basic needs, she needs to forego/reduce the monthly salary you give her for some time to enable you stabilise. On your part you also need to sacrifice - not that you'd be visiting joints to drink while she's washing your customer's clothes for free. I sense that she will agree as your description of her does not depict an unreasonable person.

About the phone, you can get her a low cost smart phone - since she uses it for her studies.

I feel it within me that you will not regret the support you render to her.

Finally, pray. Make you no go use wife do girlfriend.

My 2 Cents.

This is what I would do....you have been too diplomatic and this kind of situation requires drastic, unexpected moves that will surprise and shock both of them to their senses. I would never choose one over the other and since they are both forcing me to choose sides, I will walk away. Yes...no time. Take my son and disappear...i will tell my mither I am no longer her son and my wife thwt I am no longer her husband if they cwnt patch things up. if they have an iota of chance to reach me my instruction to both of them will be to reconcile or let me be so I wont die young.....I am not going to be useful to either of them dead so they might as well leave me alone until they both come to their senses.
RomanceRe: My Fiancee confessed she has one fallopian tube. Help me by NaijaNile: 7:40pm On Jan 26, 2016
@OP - Having one fallopian tube is not a death sentence. If you were married to her and she loses a fallopian tube due to issues such as Ectopic pregnancy will you divorce her?

My wife lost 1 fallopian tube as a result of ectopic pregnancy. Google it and you will understand what that means - life threatening. She survived it and lost 1 fallopian tube. This was after 1 child.

Afterwards she has given birth to 2 other children.

Trust in God bro.

My Dear Momma...her most popular words of advice is: Ise o ki n pa eniyan, Ishe lo n pa eniyan (Hard Work does not Kill, But Poverty Does). It made me not to be afraid of work no matter how hard.

Her Second Advice : You have to be a professional man, and establish your own business....this post reminded me of this saying and I realise I am yet to heed this. Am gonna action it immediately.

My dad: Dont Play Football, Concentrate on your studies. The man even made me sign a contract that I would not kick football again.

Christianity EtcRe: Is The God Of Israel God Of ALL? by NaijaNile: 6:42pm On Oct 14, 2013
Jeremiah 32:27a says: I am the Lord, the God of ALL FLESH

The Isrealites called Jehovah by many names, depending on how he manifested himself to them - Jehovah Jireh, YAHWEH,

God in his unquestionable authority chose the Children of Israel above all other people of the earth as his own special people. That is why the children of Israel call him the God of Israel. It does not mean that the "gentiles" - we who are not Isrealites cannot enjoy the benefits that accrue to the children of Israel.

The GOD we read about in the Holy Bible is the God of ALL. QED

@Poster...imagine this...on Judgement day you find out that it is indeed a sin for a lady to wear trousers, or use makeup, etc. If these topics are controversial why bother engage in them? Do you want to wait till judgment day to find out? The bible says you should guard your salvation jealously. I pray that the lird will reveal more of himself to you.

PoliticsRe: Sanusi To FG: Sack 50% Of Civil Servants by NaijaNile: 5:22pm On Nov 28, 2012
I remember when Tinubu became Governor in 1999, one of the first tests of his administration was when Civil Servants went on strike to demand pay increase. Tinubu refused to yeild, stating that less than 1% of the entire state (the civil servants) cannot be enjoying 50% of the states revenue (at that time). He fought Akele to a stand still.

Today we are all praising the good work of Tinubu and his successor - the main reason is because they have improved tax collection tremendously and have not increased civil servants money in the same proportion.

What Sanusi is talking about is Wealth Creation - creation of more opportunities that will in turn translate to jobs in the long run. Do you know the number of people that the LASG has employed since that period? the size of the civil service has definitely increased, but the state government can afford to pay them and still develop infrastructure. There have also been indirect employments.

What am i saying? It is not good for us as a country if a large chunk of our income is spent on paying salary and serviving recurrent expenditure. We need to take some tough decisions - and expend our revenue on wealth creation initiatives rather than recurrent spending. Sanusi is right on all counts in my opinion.

@MaryJames9- e never reach abuse now. we are all having a discussion here.

just try to calm down and analyse the issues properly. I find that a lot of people just oppose the government for no reason at all - most of the time based on mis-information from the press and people who just hate the government's guts.

My prayer for you is that you will get into Government one day - then i will refer you to this particular post (Ask Adams Oshiomole, now he knows better, courageous man in my opinion).
PoliticsRe: Riots Reported In Ogba As Mob Attack Area G Police Station ? Can Anyone Confirm? by NaijaNile: 11:32am On Jan 10, 2012
it is very sad that a lot of people are misinforming Nigerians. How can i listen to Dino Melaye - student union activitist who knew all along he wanted to do politics and threw his school into endless closures just to feather his own political ambition?

How can i listen to sahara reporters - who very obviously concoct lies just to get at the government of the day?

NLC - just because u want to be seen to always be on the side of the masses always misinforming Nigerians?

Nigeria yi ti gbogbo wa ni o! If things degenerate into a civil war, may we not bite our fingers in regret o!

Protest but not violently pls, a colleague told me on Sunday that ppl will die, i responded to him that to reduce my risk of not dieing i will sit in my house.

I am for fuel subsidy removal - what i believe labour should hold government accountable for is to how to utilise the savings - clear work plan with milestones. What i can see from all the protests is that ppl want the status quo to remain the same - pray how can we move forward as a country if things remain the same?
PoliticsRe: Subsidy Removal: Nigerians Made A Mistake Not Electing Buhari – El-Rufai by NaijaNile: 10:39pm On Jan 08, 2012
This El-Rufai that is mis-yarning, he couldnt say anything against his Principal OBJ when he increased pump price of PMS 6 times. Its easy to criticise from the other side, u do well my brother

I cannot for the love of me understand the people clamouring for a Buhari/Bakare presidency? Lets even start from the personalties of the individuals, how will they will ever agree on issues?

Winning elections is a popularity contest - that is why ACN is in charge in Lagos state. There was a golden opportunity to form an alliance with ACN and beat the PDP. As this country's political landscape is today, no party can displace the PDP -label them Poverty Dev Party if you like! Oppossition need to get their acts together and form a solid coalition to beat the PDP - and that wont even be in 2015. People who were not flexible enough to honour a simple coalition agreement to run Nigeria, this complex entity -, phew
PoliticsRe: Post Debate Poll: Should Fuel Subsidy Be Removed? by NaijaNile: 12:15am On Dec 23, 2011
how can the govt that has not been able to maintain its refineries build new ones? with which money? Investors will only come to build refineries once they are sure they can compete and get their returns straight from the market, and not from the government thru subsidy.

When they say cabal, they are referring to the Oil Marketers - Total, Oando, Global Fleet, Capital Oil etc and all other marketers. The word "cabal" makes it look like they are evil, but in actual fact they are just doing business - landing cost is about 103bucks, add freight and storage and markup , and govt has said they will subsidize.
Christianity EtcRe: Rccg Holy Ghost Congress 2011 Tagged "A New Thing" by NaijaNile: 10:40pm On Dec 14, 2011
@ Jencyjyde- u have time to be replying musketeer and the others, it seems u are not aware that G.O said nobody should defend him anywhere. Let God be his judge

Musketeers and others are entitled to their views - it doesn’t necessarily make it right.

Let those of us who want to worship the true living God who answers prayers, who made Nebuchadnezzer King, turned him into an animal for 7yrs and restored his throne to show his supremacy, who gave all christians the mandate to preach the gospel "unto the ends of the earth" continue to do so.

Let those of us who believe in tithes and offerings- and have seen a very clear manifestation of what obeying God's word can do for you continue to do so.
Why people disregard God’s word in order to be “clever – clever here meaning with-holding what God has commanded his children to give for the furtherance of his work on earth” because of fear that one pastor somewhere is eating your money beats me – leave the pastor to eat the money. He is answerable to God.

Let the Musketeers of this world and his ilk continue to apply "human and economic logic" to God's word - theories that have done the world-including the so called developed economies no good. Abi no be dis same world we dey wey Europe & America enter economic shambles?

AutosRe: Traffic On The Third Mainland. by NaijaNile: 11:24pm On Aug 09, 2011
I have thought about this problem many times too. Im my opinion, there are many factors causing the traffic:

1. Too many cars on the road - How many vehicles do you see going and comng from the island with only 1 or 2 people in them?
2. Believe it or not, most lagosians only know how to move a car but have absolutely no knowledge of traffic rules. Most of us learnt how to drive from our parents mechanics or friends or older siblings and so didnt learn traffic rules. That explains why someone coming form the island and going to Gbagada/Anthony/Maryland axis will be on the leftmost lane coming from the island and at the end of the bridge attempt to move over to the other right most lane to go to Gbagada. Multiply that by 1000 cars and you can imagine the effect.
3. Bad roads - the bad spot at ogudu used to cause traffic too, but since that has been fixed there is no issue here anymore. so the next spot is Alapere, from 3rd mainland (3/4 lanes) everyone now entering 2 lanes
4. Trucks: For the love of me, i can never understand why these moving death traps move during day/time or when people are supposed to be returning from work. What is difficult in passing a law that trailers should only move in that axis from 11pm till 5am?
5. I have also wondered why we cant think outside the box, going to the island in the morning, there is heavy traffic jam on the inward route and the other side (outbound) is EMPTY!!!. What is wrong in utilizing the entire bridge as inbound from between 6am - 9am and then releasing the outbound from 9am? people coming to the mainland can use carter or eko bridge, leaving one of eko or carter for ppl coming from surulere and those other axis? we can do the reverse in the eveing during close of work as well, all we need is to have proper traffic control at points where there could be problems.

CultureRe: Why Do We Spend So Much On Funerals? by NaijaNile: 2:30pm On Jul 10, 2011
If I may ask, what is the purpose of working so hard, saving money, acquiring wealth? It is to satisfy our needs. What then are our needs? physical and emotional needs, under which organizing a funeral for a loved one falls. I wondered about this too during my father's burial. He was 60, and it pained me a lot that people had to gather and eat, and we the children of the deceased buying cow and food and drinks etc.

I think that the only justification for not spending money on funeral of a loved one, especially if the person is elderly is if you have not taken good care of that person when he was alive, or you have to borrow to do the ceremony. When Mike Adenuga buried his mother the whole of V.I and Ijebu stood still. He has the money, took good care of the mother when she was alive, she died ripe good old age and the man satisfied his emotional desires by spending his hard earned money to organise a world class burial for his mother.

Christianity EtcRe: Daddy Adeboye Is Innocent by NaijaNile: 11:43am On Jun 06, 2011
Hmm, na wa o, you guys should sa be careful.

Pastor Adeboye is not God, we do not pray to God through Pastor Adeboye's name but through the name of Jesus Christ

The man has never said he is a saint. If you have read his biography you will see that he was in the world before God called him.

Like it or not, God is using him mightily because he has subjected himself totally to God's will. God decided to use Pastor Adeboye, the same way he decided to use Kenneth Hagins, Billy Graham, Pastor Kumuyi etc. God can use ANYBODY he likes, who can question him?

It is not in anyone's place to critisize any man of God, you may just be exposing yourself to God's wrath. Do your bit, and leave the man to him and his God. On judgement day God will not judge any man in reference to the other, but in reference to the statutes he has laid down for us.

Someone here mentioned that the man bought a plane, pls always get your facts right before you jump to conclusions. The R.C.C.G today is arguably the biggest church today in terms of financial where-withal. This is a 70year Old man, who goes around the world and Africa evangelising. Has anyone here ever travelled across Africa? I have done so extensively, and it is a logistical nightmare travelling from one place to another. I went to Brazzaville once (which shouldnt have been more than 2hrs from Lagos, I had to go to Addis-Ababa and then to Brazzaville and travelled back same way (4hrs journey turned to 20hours). Some group of people got together and bought RCCG the jet. Leave them to their God to judge them, its not in anyone's place to do so.

Someone mentioned building hospitals, If you have ever been to any RCCG congress or major programme, you will hear the G.O announcing daily the number of babies delivered during that programme. Where do you think the baies are being delivered? Ogun State Teaching Hospital or LUTH? Of course there is a hospital inside the camp.

Please always get your facts right before talking about any Man of God - lest you invite damnation on your head, more importantly leave him to his God to judge him, we are all mortal men like him and have no right, no basis to castigate him.

She snatched me from d jaws of destruction on 3 different occassions, so persistent in her beliefs, she never gives up. If you see my mum in any prayer program, its because of her children. Very tireless, my mum must occupy no 1 in the list of pple who consistently bugs God with prayers for her children

Next to God, she is the best thing to have happened to me.

oh lord, i still cant believe this kind of thing happens in Nigerian Universities, is it stones u want the administrators to use to run the schools? Majority of students are foolish am sorry to say, while your SUG guys are following politicians and collecting big money from them, u are following "struggle", getting extended stay in school while they have already started a political/thuggery career for themselves.

If you want a University Education then u must be ready to pay for it. Go anywhere in the world, You have to pay for University Education. Imagine, you are paying 2k for acceptance fee, $15huh?? those of u who have applied to UK schools, how much do you even pay for application in some cases? u want the best yet u dont want to pay, does success come free? do good things come free? In developed countries that we always run to and love their infrastructure, people pay taxes as much as 50% to maintain those infrastructure,

Pls make we hear word abeg. This aluta over school fees is stupidity of the highest order. And i dont want to hear any stupid excuse of how the economy is hard, if you dont have a sponsor you can teach secondary school students for SSCE or JAMB and make money for yr fees, In the US, UK students work and school at  the same time,

You guys are just wasting your time, and unfortunately your life. IF YOU WANT GOOD EDUCATION YOU MUST PAY. FULL STOP!!!
