PoliticsOshiomhole Apologises Over Comments To A Widow by naijaracist(op): 1:55pm On Nov 29, 2013
Benin – Gov. Adams Oshiomhole of Edo on Friday apologised for the comments he made to a widow in Benin during an inspection tour on Mission Road, in the state capital, a fortnight ago.
Oshiomhole said that he now regretted the comments which had become the subject of discourse in the social media.
The Governor, however, noted that he made the comments in anger.
Oshiomhole’s apology was made when the leadership of the Federation of Muslim Women’s Association of Nigeria (FOMWAN), paid him a courtesy visit in Benin.
He noted that though the challenge of modern times had bestowed on the shoulders of some women and single mothers the status of bread winners of their homes, such should not be used as an accuse to flout the laws.
The Governor urged the Muslim women leaders to use their offices to propagate the essence of healthy living among children and women in the nation and the need to maintain proper sanitary conditions in their neighbourhoods.
Oshiomhole lamented that the challenge of widowhood had also exposed children to different temptations, adding that there was the need for society to be careful, to avoid unwittingly creating more problems for the nation.
He noted that money was not the best thing that guaranteed ones happiness, “but honesty and selfless service.
The Governor added that if Muslims and Christians were adequately committed to their religious doctrines, the world would be a better place.
He urged the women to propagate the message of Islam through the nooks and crannies of the nation, and to also inculcate the values of honesty in their followers.
Oshiomhole, however, assured the association of government’s support in ensuring that its present leadership made remarkable progress and also consolidated on the successes of their predecessors.
Earlier, the FOMWAN National President, Hajia Amina Omoti, urged the state government to look into the issue of the teaching of Islamic Religious Studies in public schools in the state.
Omoti also solicited for government’s moral and financial support for the effective running of the association. (NAN)

Look at what you just split from your hatred mouth, so you mean that the south south and the earsterners that decamp to apc are just there for notting huh? what you just split is really the (heart of yorubas) how i wish that the ss/se members in apc will read what you just gush out from your tribalist mouth of hatred
Donmams: You must be joking if you think that conference will amount to anything. The fact is the SS/SE willingly betrayed this country by their open show of discrimination and favoritism. Since GEJ has decided to form a gov't of SS/SE and for the SS/SE alone, we'll see how far that takes him in 2015. The havoc the SS/SE have wreacked on this country will take decades to set right. And the first step to correct the damage is to make sure no SS/SE person is allowed anywhere near political power ever again. Democracy is a game of numbers. And unfortunately for the SS/SE, your numbers just don't add up!

PoliticsYou Will Suffer For Your ‘shameless And Selfish Politics - Joe Igbokwe by naijaracist(op): 11:02am On Nov 23, 2013
The anger of All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Engr. Joe Igbokwe, over the fate that befell his party’s candidate, Senator Chris Ngige, in last weekend’s governorship election in his home state, Anambra, boiled over this afternoon. He descended heavily on Ndi Igbo, predicting that they would pay a heavy price for their alleged ‘shameless and selfish politics’.

Ngige scored 92,300 votes in the results so far released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), placing him in the third position behind Chief Willie Obiano (174,710 votes) of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and Comrade Tony Nwoye (94,956 votes) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Writing around 1pm in reply to one Ikewelugo, Igbokwe said on his Facebook wall: “For playing ethnic politics and hatred we wait to see how this will help Ndigbo. Igbo want to rule Nigeria but shameless and selfish politics will not allow them to build alliances and networks with others who will vote for Igbo candidate. We have been building alliances with Yoruba since 1985 to rescue Nigeria but people like you soaked in primordial sentiments and ethnic preoccupation will not let it work. APGA controls one state out of 36 states and yet you want to produce the president of Nigeria. You have NOT asked yourself why Yoruba abandoned ACN for APC, why the North left CPC and ANPP for APC. The world is leaving Igbo behind because of people like you and their lazy politics. It will take a book to educate you but you can start by going to look for my books for you to know more. You people hurt Igbo with your useless politics of blaming others for the problems you created for yourselves. If a writer is silent he is lying.”

Igbokwe, who has been actively involved in Ngige’s campaign, repeated his claim that the election was rigged. “Wait until the world know how you won 16 LGAs. The shame has become so much that the man who claimed he won 16 LGAs cannot muster the courage to even celebrate his stolen victory. Ikewelugo wait until INEC daze you facts and figures of how its Officials compromised and sold to APGA,” he wrote.

APC is a continuation of Acn mischief and falsehood. I have consistently warned Nigeria about this band of witches, serpents, tribal bigots ,looters, criminal elements, religious vampires and political harlots that merged together to form an axis of evil darkness which they call party.tell me any election in which Acn had participated in and was rejected by the voters which they had not turned into a war scene. when they wins Inec becomes OK when they loose they will corruptly induce and manipulate the media who had been badly compromised by APC leaders to use falsehood ,blackmail, intimidation, arm twisting to bewitching Nigerians to dance to the wicked tunes of APC.

PoliticsAnambra: Ngige Weeps For Nigeria, Alleges Predetermined Election by naijaracist(op): 8:00pm On Nov 17, 2013
Hours before the final results of the just concluded governorship election in Anambra State was announced on Sunday, candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Senator Chris Ngige, said he was weeping for Nigeria over the alleged inability of the Independent National Electoral Commission to conduct credible polls.

He said the result was predetermined as a result of the series of warning of recurring irregularities that was ignored by the commission, adding that if the election was not cancelled his only option would be to seek redress at the tribunal.
This came just as the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Mr. Tony Nwoye, lent credence to Ngige’s position when he also called for the total cancellation of the election following series of irregularities that marred the exercise.
Ngige also said his party did not participate in the rerun that was rescheduled for Sunday in 65 polling units in Idemili North Local Government Area.

PoliticsPDP Crisis: CAN Flays Bishops For Visiting Atiku, Nyako by naijaracist(op): 7:01pm On Nov 17, 2013
The Christian Association of Nigeria has berated some Christian clerics from the Niger Delta for attempting to mediate between warring factions in the Peoples Democratic Party. It said the intervention was not their calling.

Some bishops from the region reportedly visited former Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar, and Adamawa State Governor, Murtala Nyako, in their quest to reconcile the G-7 governors in the breakaway faction known as the New PDP with the mainstream.

The President, CAN, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, urged the clerics to stay away from the PDP crisis. While he denied knowing them, he described their activities as worrisome. He added that CAN was apolitical and would not dabble in the PDP crisis.

However, some clergymen, under the aegis of Global Peace Relief Initiative, on Wednesday, accused the CAN President of getting involved in politics of calumny and name dropping.

The group, led by Prophet Jones Erue, in a statement, said no amount of blackmail or intimidation would deter them from the noble mission of rescuing the country from imminent collapse.

Speaking to our correspondent on Friday, the Secretary-General, CAN, Musa Asake, said the clerics were doing the wrong thing at the wrong place. He said he found their activities questionable.

Asake said, “The so-called pastors that said they were negotiating; they have more problems in the church, have they negotiated that? It is out of their calling. And for them to turn around to criticise the CAN President is very unfortunate and puts a question mark on their calling.

“If you deviate from the truth just accept it. They are looking for an excuse. They found themselves is a wrong place. They are pastors; they are not expected to deal with political parties with internal crises.”

The CAN secretary faulted the stance of those who accused Oritsejafor of romancing with the Presidency. He alleged that the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar was more frequent at the Presidential Villa than Oritsejafor.

He said, “The Sultan is always at the Villa; he is closer to the government than the CAN President is. And nobody is talking about that. Just because we have been keeping quiet? Has President Goodluck Jonathan said he had done anything and the CAN President was out to support him? I don’t know why they have their eyes on the CAN President? The Sultan does more; he is closer to the government and nobody talks about that.”

Erue, in the Wednesday statement, had also said, “It is surprising that Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, the CAN President, will handle issues of immense gravity and national importance with levity and without discretion.

“For the CAN president to say CAN is apolitical is laughable, as the same president is involved in politics of calumny and name-dropping. We want to place it on record that the bishops and clerics in this body may not own private jets, but they are men of unquestionable character, dependable leaders, and stewards of peace and holders of reputable degrees.”

CAN’s South-South Chairman, Archbishop God-Dowell Avwomakpa, had announced the suspension the the clerics from the association.

The Bishops and Eminent Clerics Forum of Nigeria had in Abuja on Friday criticised CAN for its suspension of the forum’s members.

Erue had threatened legal action against Avwomakpa and CAN, saying the former had no capacity to suspend them. http://www.punchng.com/

ASSUMING THAT WE IGBO PEOPLE RE ROBOTS, PROGRAMMED TO FOLLOW ORDERS, THEN BY NOW IT COULD HAVE BEEN ONWA APC ALL THE WAY, BECAUSE IT'S EASY FOR ONE TO WORSHIP HE'S OR HER PROGRAMMER.

BUT WE'RE NOT ROBOTS, WE RE TRUE IGBO SON'S AND DAUGHTER'S, THAT WAS THE REASON WHY WE ALL HAD TO RESPOND TO THE CALL OF OUR TRUE LATE HERO, WITHOUT ANY FEAR OR FAVOUR.

WORDS, POWER AND GREED MAY DIVIDE US, BUT ACTION WILL ALWAYS UNITE US.
OUR LATE LEADER DIM CHUKWUEMEKA ODUMEGWU OJUKWU STOOD FIRM ON THE TRUTH, AND HE NEVER COMPROMISED NOT EVEN ON HE'S BED WHILE DYING.
HE HAS SET THE PACE, FOR US TO FOLLOW AND EVEN TILL DATE HE STILL REMAINS THE GREATEST IGBO LEADER OF OUR LIFE TIME.
WE SHOULD ALL LEARN A THING OR TWO FROM HIM, SINCE ITS THE TRUTH THAT MADE HIM WHO HE WAS.

ONLY VERY FEW PEOPLE HAVE TRULY SPOKEN OUT THEIR MINDS HERE, WHILE THE REST STILL HIDE BEHIND THEIR IGNORANCE AND FEARS, WHILE STILL TRYING TO LURE OTHERS TO COMPROMISE THEIR DIGNITY FOR APC, FORGETTING THAT APGA WAS TRULY FORMED TO FIGHT FOR IGBO COURSE WHILE SHE IS STILL IN NIGERIA.

I REALLY DON'T SEE ANY REASON WHY, WE AS IGBO MEN AND WOMEN, SHOULD WORSHIP OTHER HUMANS IN ANY KIND OF FORM.
MOST PEOPLE NOW WORSHIP "ONWA" AND SEE HIM AS THE FRONT LINE OF THE IGBO STRUGGLE, INSTEAD OF AN ORDINARY IGBO MAN THAT WENT TO JOIN APC FOR FAVOUR.
AND NO BODY IS ASKING WHY DID NGIGE JOINED APC?
WILL NGIGE FIGHT FOR IGBO COURSE?
WHAT IS NGIGE REAL MISSION TO APC?
WHAT ROLL HAS HE EVER PLAYED FOR IGBO? WHO FUNDED HE'S CAMPAIGN?
DO AN IGBO SON HAVE A SAY IN APC?.
BUT INSTEAD PEOPLE CHOSE TO TURN A BLIND EYES TO ALL THIS, WHILE THEY KEEP SCREAMING ONWA! IN 2013 AND NOT EVEN ELECTRICITY OR SOLAR POWER.

OUR PEOPLE HAS NOW PROVEN IT AGAIN THAT, No matter how great! No matter how rich! No matter how popular! No matter how powerful they are. AS A TRUE IGBO SON, WE SHOULD ONLY RESPECT THEM, APPRECIATE THEM, RECOGNIZE THEIR PRESENCE, LEARN A THING OR TWO FROM THEM, BUT WILL NEVER EVER WORSHIP THEM, not for any reason, not another flesh and blood, or regardless of their titles, names, accolades, or people that worship them.

God bless ndi Igbo, God bless nigeria and those truly fighting for the survival of her people.

Rigged elections are not rigged as long as APC does it
• Corruption is not corruption as long as APC members do it
• Underperformance is not one unless done by PDP officials

• Godfatherism is not godfatherism if involves Tinubu and not Anenih
• Nothing wrong if Aregbesola buys two bullet proof hummer jeeps for #120m, Fashola buys 3 bullet proof cars for #600m unless it is a PDP minister that does it.
• Bad political leaders are no longer bad political leaders as soon as they become members of APC.
• Yes, this is the philosophy APC wants Nigeria to imbibe and wants nigerians to buy. Yes, APC wants to wrestle power from the rulling party. They do not have the interest of Nigerians at heart. They are a set of corrupt, selfish, greedy, old and worn-out politicians. They are bent on feeding fat on the common wealth of the people by converting public funds and propeties to personal use. APC believes in decieving the people by painting of existing roads(mostly built during the military regimes),planting of flowers etc which have no direct impact on the people. Passing obnoxious laws which undermines the power of the people thereby reducing the people to slaves in their land.
•Now listen to me you sycophants, bigots, etc,as long as you continue to see most things wrong with PDP but see those same things right with APC, you will continue to be expose and ensure you never set your itching feet into ASO Rock and your itching palms on our national coffers
