Perhaps. However, it makes more sense to do so in the appropriate context.

NYSCRe: Should Hijabs Be Allowed In NYSC Camps? by NaLaugh: 9:03pm On Nov 26, 2015
Quick question (serious), do the niqab/hijab wearing corpers participate in the drill exercises?

I honestly think that would be hilarious to watch them climbing over fences and such.

The comedy industry in Nigeria is still opening up, and needs a lot of fresh new acts.

Nigerian comedy is one of the ways I stay connected to Naija.

If you know any good act with good content, send it to me on Na Laugh. smiley

Science/TechnologyRe: Cheapest Means Of Calling US And Canada by NaLaugh: 6:52am On Nov 22, 2015
Pidggin:
Which Network is good for making international calls?
I'm not sure what it costs to call US & Canada with your cellphone from Nigeria, so whether these are beneficial to you depends on that.

Here are some options I call Nigeria with, but they offer good features to call the US & Canada too.
They're VOIP (voice over IP - like skype, but calls & SMS only), so they require decent internet speeds.
These offer many payment options, but I guess Paypal, VISA & Mastercard should work for you.

1. Nairacalls.com - Their rates for US calling is $0.005/min (cell & landlines). Which is about 1 Naira/min. Canada is slightly more. Minimum reload is $10 (NGN 2,000 or so). Calls to Nigeria are $0.04/min (NGN 8 ).

2. Rynga.com - You get free US & Canada calling for 4 months with each reload. Minimum of about $11 (NGN 2200 +). They also have a mobile app that works decently. Calls to Nigeria are $0.053/min (NGN 11)

3. Also, you can try globfone.com. It is completely free for US calling. However, I've only tried it once, to see if it worked. It did, but I don't need it, as I have unlimited local calling on my cellphone, like most do around here.

Hope one works for you. smiley

mojeer678:
You are a wicked soul!

For you to try to lie against the truth shows that your judgment is very near.

Instead of shutting up and try to change your evil ways, you are trying to make light of a serious matter?

Your comeuppance is very very near, trust me!

Renown scientists have published credible studies warning against excessive exposure and usage of mobile phones. Ambassador Dele Ashiru, who recently passed on due to cancer, was stated by no other person than his elder brother that he virtually had a phone glued to his head. Yet, another experiment carried out established the same thing and you had the effrontery to make light and dismiss a very important information? simply because you work in the telecom industry?

It should be noted that although microwave radiation is non-ionising – i.e. does not have enough energy to break chemical bonds, particularly in DNA – exposure can still cause interference with the natural DNA repair process, and produce chromosome aberrations and micronuclei. Such effects are consistent with the finding that exposure to pulsed microwave radiation (at intensities comparable to those realised during use of a mobile phone) promotes the development of cancer in mice that have been genetically engineered to have a predisposition to cancer, and also with the 2-fold increase in the incidence of a rare form of cancer in the periphery of the human brain (where the radiation from the handset most easily penetrates) - the laterality of which correlates with that of handset use - which has been found in a recent nationwide epidemiological study in the US. -G. J. Hyland, Department of Physics International Institute of Biophysics, University of Warwick, Coventry, UK and International Institute of Biophysics, Neuss-Holzheim, Germany

Your 'reward' is just around the corner and you won't be laughing when it arrives!
Wow! shocked you do have your panties up in a bunch, don't you? Take a deep breath.

First, I never said I work in the telecom industry (in my comment). So as far as you're concerned, you made that up by way of assumption. Making everything else you said a straw man argument (which calls your character to question).

That said, until last year, I did in fact work in the largest telecom company in the world, for years, and two others before it.
My perspectives and insight might be different from yours. I have zero incentive to misinform in any form. Not now, not when I was in that industry. I only go by facts.

Reading your response, one would think I was chanting "AIDS is fake, have unprotected sex."

Once again, the "cell phones cause cancer and health issues" rhetoric is nothing new, and has been researched, debated, published for/against for many years.

Till this day, the FACT remains - it has not been evidenced beyond theory, on humans. Keyword = HUMANS.
There is NO patient diagnosed with a radiofrequency related health "condition," arising from cell phone use. NOT ONE.

Here is the World Health Organization's official statement on the issue:

"A large number of studies have been performed over the last two decades to assess whether mobile phones pose a potential health risk. To date, no adverse health effects have been established as being caused by mobile phone use."

Here is a reference link to this on their official website: WHO

In life, we're all entitled to our own opinions, but we're never entitled to our own facts. Facts remain facts, until proven otherwise.

Namaste. smiley

The effect on humans is negligible. This is not a new area of attention. The "cellphones will give you brain cancer" bruhaha has been perpetuated blindly for a long time.

Thanks all for your comments.
Who has travelled to Canada or currently there
Your keen advice is sought after.
Am afraid ,will I be able to get work there?
Kindly advice!
Or I set up my biz in Nigeria??
Your question is vague, as your exact circumstance hasn't been stated.

Are you being offered permanent residence, and contemplating? Or are you just seeking advice on what to pursue in the long term?

Your ability to get a good job will of course depend on skill level. You need to put out more info for people to offer meaningful suggestions.

I don't live in Canada, but I visit time to time. I live less than a 6 hour drive from Canada, in the U.S.
