While these jobs aren't of dignified status, it takes an ignorant person to talk them down. It is common for the average Nigerian to say "instead of XYZ, I no go dey where I dey?" Sure, certain occupations are less desirable, particularly to educated people. However, if the alternative is crime or being a financial leech on someone else, then you're irresponsible. Some of those "annoying jobs," like the security guards earn up to $5,000/month. Last I checked, that is over 1 million Naira a month. Most importantly, they're making an honest living. Sometimes people who don't live in the US, and have never visited imagine they know how things work out here. The average Nigerian would constantly say "for US ehn.." The OP sounds like someone with no world exposure, work experience and or financial experience. Yes, these jobs should not be first choices for educated people. However, an attempt to ridicule any human making an honest living is naivete. |
Honestly, when dudes take photos with a kissy face, they need to be b!tch slapped. |
Even a blind person could tell he was getting ready to drop something, with all that bruhaha. |
Not horrible, but what exactly are people being prompted to "discuss"? ![]() Nairaland standards are dead. RIP. |

politricks:haha. I wouldn't call it a dream, as I have no actual desire to date her. It's more of an appreciation of her wholesomeness and artistic awesomeness. ![]() |
Ah! Iyawo mi Asa. Not sure why, but I say that anywhere I see a picture of Asa. ![]() |

AnthonyAk:The only real News here is that Nigeria has stagnated and made no practical development since the 70s. Sad! |
Look at all the people jumping in this thread to view some kinky gate sex, but faced with some random mob. ![]() |

Most of those cars in the first set of pics weren't used in Nigeria in the 90s. More like 60s and 70s. |
Who the heck cares? ![]() |
Considering the low prices of the other items (compared to it), my guess is that it's a typo-error. Perhaps intended as N500. N5500 is about $27. "Chin chin" isn't sold in the US, but there is NO similar snack that retails even close to that price that I know of -at that quantity. That would damn near start a fight in a restaurant. ![]() |
optimusprime2: ![]() Make sure they issue first class tickets, and ask them to upgrade the degree to a PhD. |

gossipatrol:My exact sentiment to some of the posts on this thread. I'm guessing some of them are either too young to know, or just started listening to music. |
Jacko01:How can you call Azadus a one hit wonder? Azadus was practically on top of the game at some point with hits like "You is the one," "Madam" etc. |
Olu Maintain and Resonance had other decent hits. Sasha P didn't do too badly either. Besides, Olu maintain didn't pop out of the blues. He had many hits prior to Yahoozee with Tolu, when they were "Maintain." Resonance had "Lee Lee," which was perhaps as popular as"Chinwe Ike," along with other songs. This list does zero justice to the topic. |

![]() As long as the insurance company isn't the typical insurance company. Insurance companies make their profit by denying insurance claims. Many times, legitimate claims are denied, and the insured is left out to dry because of corporate greed. They need to make sure the terms of coverage aren't ambiguous, and cover loss of life under any active duty capacity. The typical insurance company would deny a claim in a scenario like: INSURANCE: Was he killed by direct gunfire from Boko, or did he step on a landmine? SOLDIER'S FAMILY: Landmine. INSURANCE: Unfortunately, our insurance coverage only covers direct attack. SOLDIER'S FAMILY: But, he died in the line of duty. INSURANCE: HAVE A GREAT DAY!! .. NEXT! |
