I did that shite till i graduated college. My favorite email when i was in college, was - "Due to inclement weather, all classes and campus activities are canceled."I used to drive 1 hour to school, and every cancellation, especially in horrible blizzard weather was like a reason to party. |

The fact is, Nigeria has never been "broke."
However, the excess looting makes it appear so, because it is almost impossible to find any of the projects massive amounts of money have been allocated to over the decades. |

Being on the Internet in itself amounts to very little.
It is what you occupy your time with, and the resources you utilize that matter.
For Nigerians (in Nigeria) to truly benefit from the power of the Internet, affordable 24 hour high speed Internet must be readily available for home use.
It still baffles me that the cable and satellite TV providers in Nigeria have not pushed to get these things in place.
A lot of startup businesses in Nigeria would thrive, if only people (potential customers) had convenient access to the Internet.
Instead, all i seem to see when i'm on a Naija site is people complaining about "My MB." That's a little sad for 2015. |

frisky2good: In Nigeria? Obama promised to close down Guatanamo prison in his first term. He's in his second term and there are still prisoners in Guatanamo. Politicians only tell people what they want to hear. Once they win, they do what they want. Which is very true. However, Obama has delivered in most of the sectors he promised to. Economy, Health Care, Immigration and more. The polity in Nigeria on the other hand is another story. There hasn't been a Nigerian politician who hasn't stood under the sun with his greasy face to yell - "Constant power supply, good roads, water supply, schools, better wages" etc. However, not a single one has delivered... EVER! It is both hilarious and sad. |

Burger01: Don't you find this funny? A president operating a computer system with the monitor screen off! Now, that's appalling to me I honestly stay out of Nigerian political "debate" or whichever form it takes. At the end of the day, all Nigerian politicians have proven themselves beyond doubt, to be nothing but thieving individuals (regardless of what party they choose to steal under in that tenure). That said, no, i do not find the pic you posted funny, because the computer he is on clearly has a privacy screen on it. Attached is a pic of a laptop with most of its screen obscured by one. These types of unnecessary "debates" really do nothing to progress the plight of average Nigerians. Partisan politics exists in all parts of the world, but the fact remains that it is detrimental to the real issues on ground.

denisfidha: the owner was arrested. his restaurant shut down by the county govt for not having a proper licence. he was questioned by immigration officials and now the matter has been taken up by a parliamentary comettee to investigate racism claims, that guy is in deep sh#it That's good to know (if true). There is no room for such B.S anywhere. To think they would do that in their African host country is appalling. It sounds like something from Apartheid era South Africa. The owner and management should be deported back to China or whatever country they're from. |
