LMAyedun: Twenty of the 24 lawmakers in the state signed the notice. ——————————————-
The Nasarawa State House of Assembly has commenced impeachment proceedings on Governor Umaru Al-Makura.
The Assembly on Monday directed its Clerk, Ego Maikeffi, to serve Mr. Al-Makura with the impeachment notice for alleged gross misconduct and misappropriation of funds.
The notice was signed by 20 of the 24 lawmakers in the state during a sitting presided over by the Speaker, Ahmed Mohammed.
The 16-count charge borders on alleged extra-budgetary expenses by the governor.
Nasarawa has 20 Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, lawmakers and 4 All Progressives Congress, APC, lawmakers.
The governor is a member of the APC. The notice of impeachment was agreed few hours before the visit of President Goodluck Jonathan to the state to commission a rice farm in Doma.

Despite the accolades the activities of most Nigerian governors remain a hype, the work of aggressive Public Relation stunt. A close look at the work of these shrewd shaddy politicians always reveal much more than meets the eyes. Behind the curtain is systematic looting and money laundering activities going on and everyone is involved. Despite the shameless corruption some of these governors have done relatively well or have been percieved to have done well. Today we are discussing those who haven’t done much or upto expectation, those who don’t even know why they are governor. We are looking at the first ten starting from 10 to number 1.
(10) Delta State Governor: Despite the huge revenue allocated to Delta State, Governor Oduaghan hasn’t been able to bring remarkable change to Delta State. When we hear what people like Governor Rotimi Ameachi have been able to achieve in Rivers State, his Delta State counterpart is not known for any serious infrastructural development. Oduaghan became governor like most governor. He was the cousin of the previous governor, James Ibori, who is now languishing in a London prison after he was found guilty of money laundery. Oduaghan’s government is characterised by sorrounding himself with friends and family members and making them rich to the detriment of the state. He has spent almost eight years as Delta State governor and we haven’t seen anything remarkable yet.
(9) TA Orji of Abia State is the worst governor in Igbo land for 2013. In Nigeria he came as number 9. The people haven’t seen anything like dividend of democracy and many Abia indegenous people have personally called to say he is the worst governor in Nigeria. NEWISSUES categorise him as number 9. His people expect much from him but in the end governance to some of these men in government is about personal business and wealth accumulation for themselves and their friends.
( Kebbi State Governor Dakingari is number 8 on the list. After talking to many people in Kebbi State, they seem to all agree that the man hasn’t done much. The good thing is that the man doesn’t talk too much.
(7) FCT Minister Bala Muhammad, is the number 7th on the list of the worst governor in 2013. Forget the title FCT Minister, we consider the 37th Governor of Nigeria. Bala Muhammad is going on record as the worst FCT Minister in the history of the FCT Admiistration in Nigeria. The FCT Minister is just doing anything but as those who know him say, accumulating wealth for his campaign for the 2015 Bauchi State Governor election. His posters and billboards are already all over the Bauchi State capital. He has been accused of land racketeering. The FCT administration is shamelessly corrupt and nobody cares. Bala Muhammad efforts at reforms in the transport area is the worst and ludicrous. It is obvious that all the FCT Minister cares about is generating revenue to the detriment of the people. Under his nose the FCT will demolish then later collaboarate with the natives to sell these plots again. The man simply lacks idea and Nigerians wonder why he hasn’t been replaced. We heard it is because he is a very good friend to Patience Jonathan, the First Lady.
(6) Lamaran Yero of Kaduna state. After Yakowa died his assistant became the governor of Kaduna State. Governor Yero has not been able to do anything since then. As a young man people expect dynamic leadership in a conflict State. Governor Yero hasn’t shown that he is a promising leader.
(5) Murtala Nyako of Adamawa State is number 5 worst governor on our list. Being an old man one would think the man would do something spectacular to leave a legacy for his people. Nyako did nothing. He has been busy throughout this year fighting the president. That is more important to him than his people.
(4) Gabriel Suswan of Benue State and Isa Yuguda of Bauchi State. These people have made it to number 4 of the worst governors in Nigeria. Suswan has not been able to pay salaries, even to primary school teachers. In the area of development, not much is on ground. Benue is still one of the poorest states in Nigeria in terms of infrastructures. Since 1999 Benue State has been lucky with governor and Gabriel Suswan is the worst of them all. Isa Yuguda was once quoted as saying former governor Muazu has done everything, so there is no need to do anything. Muazu was overwhelmingly voted in the first term despite leaving the PDP to join the ANPP. He would have lost if not for the rioting in 2011 but after the CPC rioting he won. Isa Yuguda hasn’t done much and if in 2015 the PDP lost to APC it wouldn’t be because of Goodluck Jonathan hate in the North The worst three governors in the Nigeria is coming soon.
Trust me dakin gari of kebbi state is deir Boss, e be like say dat guy no get brain at all. Imagine a state wit morethan 200Billion can't think of wat to do wit it. Him name 4 hausa na:--- "Bakaci baka bari aci" meaning:-- "him no go chop nd him no go allow anybody chop" very funny Fulani MAN...lol
video was posted by the sect online , showing Shekau, who was clad in a military fatigue, rained invectives on his enemies: “Here I am, alive, hale and hearty. Sagir Musa should bury himself in shame, President Jonathan (of Nigeria) should bury himself in shame, President Obama (of United States of America) should bury himself in shame, and President Francois Hollande (of France) should bury himself in shame, Queen Elizabeth (of England) should bury herself in shame.
“They said I am dead, but here I am. The world should know that I am alive and will only die at the appointed time. Everybody should be judged according to the dictates of his conscience.
“What I am doing is written in the Holy Qur’an and the Hadith and I will not stop. I challenge all the clerics of the world to question my deeds. Those underrating my capacity should have a re-think. I will never allow democracy to thrive.
“The concept of government of the people by the people for the people will never be possible and will never exist. Democracy shall be replaced only by the government of Allah, from Allah and for Allah.”
He stated the Nigerian military will never subdue his group. “Nigerian soldiers are late. After killing many of them in Monguno and Benisheik, we have snatched their armoured carriers and Hilux vans and then hoisted Islamic flags on them. We now move freely with them,” he said.
meanwhile, the Army Public Relations Unit said it would study the video clips that claimed someone who had died several weeks ago is alive.
Shekau ur misguided! Pple shud try nd undrstnd d diffrnt btw ISLAM nd bad MUSLIMs who r hidin behind an ISLAMIC flag to do deir bullsh*t!!!.. #TeamIsam#
vickitor: The Nigerian movie industry, Nollywood, is trying but they are making some mistakes that are very glaring even to a child. They should understand that what is worth doing is worth doing well. I know they are hustling like every other Nigerian, but they should also understand that they are also representing our country. These mistakes can be avoided if a very creative director directs most of these movies. These are:
1. We are tired of seeing spirits wear wrist watches and chains. For goodness sake, this is the spirit world you are trying portray, why are you guys still backward in movie directing? We should know that little things counts. Spirits should also stop rubbing powder on their faces and stop wearing cele overalls.
2. Please, if you guys intend to subtitle your movies, please subtitle it with good english and try to edit them if possible. We are tired of seeing sentences like "where did you carry all these pregnant?" For pete's sake, if you can't edit your movies, call people to edit them for you.
3. We are tired of seeing 30+ men and women acting secondary school children. If my classmates were that sexy in secondary school, I know my teachers would have slept them all. Moreso, please make it obvious that parents are older than their kids in your movies. How will clem Ohameze be the father of Jim Iyke... Ahan, in real life clem should not be older than Jim with not more than 10years.
4. Please and Please, our witches do not behave like imbeciles. How will a witch grow long fingers and very bad dentition in the midnight and the morning the same witch has the sweetest smile on earth. Don't make it look all girls with bad dentition are witches.
5. These days all your movies are Royal this... Royal that. Last week, my sister bought 6 Nollywood movies, Royal love, tears on the throne, igwe must hear this, etc. 70% of Nollywood movies are about royal stuffs, WTH. I know Nigerians don't even give a f**k about royalties. So why act it as if its our major problem.
6. We need creative directors in our movies. How will a thief drop his ID card in a robbery site in real life? Why will an actor wear double clothes because he is going to use the inner clothe for the next scene, please reason these things directors. Movies should not be about love alone but other fantastic stories. Oduah's case is there, write and act good movies please.
7. Sometimes, I don't know what some casts are doing in a movie. They are neither a part of the cause, part of the solution nor a waka-pass. They are just there doing "uhummm", "mtcheewwww", "nonsense", "**clapping their hands**". There are some scenes that are unnecessary too, why will a scene be just: tonto dike bathing, someone mistakenly see the igwe and run, etc. Very unnecessary.
PS: We know you don't have enough money to produce and direct the kind of movies in Hollywood but you can as well use the little you have and with talented actors to produce a decent movie.
gistmelove: A total of 1,111 mass weddings involving Muslim and Christian faithfuls was conducted yesterday at various churches and at the Central Mosque in Kano state. This mass wedding is the fourth in the series since its inception in 2011.
Coordinated by the Kano state Hisbah board, a sharia based police system mandated to check indiscipline and social vices amongst the citizenry, the intending couples were all subjected to various forms of test at the Aminu Kano General hospital before their union was formally carried out. Speaking to newsmen, the Director General of the Kano State Hisbah Board, Alhaji Abba Sufi said Christians who signified interest were joined together in their various churches and the requirements for their celebration was provided for by the state government.
The first mass wedding was conducted with a total of 100 couple, the second 250 couple and the third edition was a thousand couple. See more photos after the cut...

SeaGold: Why do I have the feeling that this party is an Islamic agenda. Almost all of the party chieftains and stakeholders are Muslims. Governor Rochas Okorocha even donated some of his people to Islam.
Jonathan will continue to release oxygen into the Nigeria atmosphere beyond 2015.
I and My family will never inhale poisonous gas of the APC

olenyi: Just heard the announcement. The management of Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Enugu, just directed that all students are to report to campus tomorrow for the onward completion of the semester.
They said that exams would commence immediately and any student that fails to report will have him/herself to blame.
