agabusta: In Bauchi cancelled polling units has 180,000 registered voters.
Margin of win as of now in Bauchi is just 4,000 plus. I thought was was about 50000 votes with most of it in Tafawa Balewa LG |

NORSIYK: Why are guys this foolish and stupid the same time? Ihedioha won in 12 LGAs and obtained more than 25% in over 22 LGAs.
The constitution didnt say he will win in over 18 LGAs rather gets over 25% in at least 18 LGAs
Why are you so daft? If this is true, then why are we still arguing. Can you substantiate please? |

fergie001: Your last line very correct..........
For the law matter.....there is no precedent....only the Courts can decide......
Look at the case of late Abubakar Audu and Yahaya Bello/James Faleke......there was no precedent.....the party decided and the Court upheld....
Ihedioha declared winner is not wrong, even if it may not be right...
I know the matter will be tried in Court sha but for now let Imolites savour this victory. We agree!! |

It's impossible for Pdp to win plateau now.
I'm scared for tambuwal Exactly my sentiments in another thread. |
Politics › Re: INEC Declares Emeka Ihedioha Winner Of Imo Governorship Election 2019 by nameo: 9:33am On Mar 12, 2019 |
fergie001: Only a court can decide that because there is no precedent...... None of the contestants as well met the 25% requirements.....
Also, the margin of victory is more than cancelled votes which is the basis for inconclusive elections....
This is a first....let Nwosu go to Court....maybe a Rivers Amaechi Omehia may play which I very well doubt....because it is the best news on the streets of Imo now......... I want Okorocha and APC completely out of Imo, probably more than yourself and want Ihedioha to win. But like I said: the law is the law. I never go against that. Regardless of my sentiments. Let the court decide sha. Altho I know that ecen if the election was conducted a million times, Ihedioha will win everytime. It cannot even be rigged. Ihedioha should also start to reach out to other contestants now: Ararume, Ohakim, Nwulu and others. |

Politics › Re: Updated: Governors Elected In 2019 Election (full List so far) by nameo: 9:27am On Mar 12, 2019 |
senatordave1: Apc will take sokoto and bauchi APC cannot take Bauchi, even if the election was redone there. It is Tafawa Balewa LGA. Moreover, PDP actually won that election. The reason for cancelling that LGA is unlawful. The elections had already been collated in the wards. Only the result sheet was stolen in the LG collation centre. Sokoto would be though tho. Unfortunately, I have come to like/respect Tambuwal. I wish him the best |

Excaperx: Kano Sokoto Bauchi Benue Adamawa River.
9+6=15 PDP will win all these states, judging from either the margin or places where the rerun will be conducted. The only state APC can rig is Sokoto where the margin is very small and APC actually has a chance to win. Overall, this was a very good outing for PDP. Relative to 2015, they only lost 1 state amd will gain 5-6 states. |
Politics › Re: INEC Declares Emeka Ihedioha Winner Of Imo Governorship Election 2019 by nameo: 9:15am On Mar 12, 2019 |
If Emeka didnt actually win 25% in 2/3rd of the LGAs in Imo, then he should not have been declared winner.
The law is the law.
But that is a big "if".
Am really happy tho that Okorocha and APC jas been kicked ouy of Imo state and the SE, a refio where APC regarded with disdain. |

Why do you think all the voices that matter in Rivers are quite quiet right now? Wike is alone because of his selfish ambition. Ikwere can't have 16 straight years but Wike and you can't see that. 90% of the gubernatorial candidates in Rivers are put there by Amarchi so weather AAC or OZ or anything Wike 's fate had been determined before now. Why do you think he was mourning when Onnoghen was exposed? who is behind Wike in Rivers apart from ipobs and a few renegades ? Shut ya mouth tha, my friend. Just shut it. Go and conclude the election na. Why did you peolle not conclude it. I thought you guys were saying that the election will be concluded with an upstart winning Wike in Rivers and nothing will happen. Stop shouting here. Just go ans announce AAC as winner and see wjat will happen. |

Rexology: It is also important to note that the 121k represents the total no of registered voters in the affected areas. Out of the 121k registered voters in that affected areas, what is the % of PVC collection put it side by side with the possible % of voters turnout then subtract it from the 81k margin of victory. The INEC ROs that declared Benue and Plaetue state governorship election inconclusive only created irrelevant and unnecessary extra costs of rerun. You are right. But that is the law tho. The declaration of the election as inconclusive is actually lawful. Ortom will win tho |
Politics › Re: Why We Declared Benue Governorship Election Inconclusive – INEC by nameo: 5:49pm On Mar 11, 2019 |
blockchain: Ortom just needs 21k votes out of the alleged cancelled 121k votes to win... Inec just wan waste materials in conducting a re-run That is assuming a 100% voters turnout happens in the rerun. However, turnout cannot be more than 50% and if all those people voted for APC (which is impossible), Ortom would still win. Ortom was a useless Gov tho |

BotherMleeper: I think it's not ever going to be easy to pin the blames. Both sides play politics of religion, and they'll always do.
I'm a fulani muslim, but even I have misgivings with the choices of El Rufai. Now, I know a great deal of southern kaduna christians hate muslims mostly because the hate is mutual and largely because of a feeling of isolation. But a leader is supposed to rise above such petty sentiments and be a leader to all. No one in the history of kaduna has shown such blatant prejudice to faith than El Rufai.
It's his right to pick his vice, but politics is all about compromise; what's the harm if his deputy was a christian to appease the SOKAPU people so they feel some sense of belonging? How would that diminish his capacity to lead, given deputies are always just necessary baggage who really do nothing?
Also Rufai's utterances are quite unbecoming. The man has no business being in politics given his proclivity for saying things that worsen situations. No one in kaduna, muslim or christian, is happy with crises, because in conflagrations all lose.
Of course, the christian community is also not helping, given the pronouncements of some of their pastors recently. They say provocative things and make enemies of every single muslim, thereby exacerbating the divide.
Every single institution that ordinarily should imbue sanity in the society has failed: the politicians, the clergy, the legislature, the judiciary, the academics, parents, the youths..everyone has failed....
so who do you really blame?
Your chosen deity? Thank you!!! |

Indispensable85: This election has turned out to be a religious battle. Having won the election,i expect el rufai to do more to unite kaduna because there's a very deep religious fracture in the state right now. This is very dangerous! I pray for peace in kaduna. El rufai cannot unite anybody. What you are seeing now is WHO he is. He cant change. I have said this a no of times here: El rufai is way more dangerous than Buhari. |
