iLiquidator:
A rule of thumb in Islam is that a Muslim must believe in Jesus. Any Muslim that reject Jesus is not a Muslim. Our difference is that we Muslims believe him to be a prophet born by virgin Mary. He isn't a God.

Of course the Bible never said that Jesus is God. He's the son of God (that is, he's the first born of all creation - col 1: 15). God is a separate being from Jesus. God is almighty, Jesus is not. Jesus prayed to do his father's (God's) will. Jesus is not only the son of God, he's also a prophet (since he also prophesy about the future).

I'm glad you found my posts useful, i'd follow you back on twitter.
You're welcome.

But before you take a break from coding, think of why you even started coding...have you achieved your aim? if no, then you don't need that break, you need extra hours of hard work instead to achieve what you set out to do. If it is only HTML and CSS you know, stick to it like that but be on top of the HTML/CSS game, be 90% and above, strive to be Nigeria's best Web Designer..or Africa's finest designer, or the world's best designer, that's a good name and it's better than riches.
Keep your game going, there's no reason to stop, even when you are at the top..you'd need to keep on going. Design 10 websites every 2 weeks, set tasks for yourself and trust me, you'd be one of the all time best web designers on the globe, but remember bro the journey of a thousand miles starts from a step.

Goodluck!

@DanielTheGeek thanks. This is really a late reply. I took your words to heart, and the fire keeps burning. I'll soon complete my front-end development course. I'll keep striving to be best.
Cheers.

Religion / Re: 5 Biblical Reasons Why Hell Might Not Exist by Nascimento(m): 6:18pm On Aug 07, 2016
Sunnycliff:
Hell Fire is Real! Enough of these deceptions!
Its better I believe there is hell and die to discover there is none than disagree that there in none and die to discover that there is!

Deuteronomy 32:22 For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.
Matthew 18:9 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.

Mark 9:43 And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Mark 9:45 And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Mark 9:47 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire: James 3:6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.

Revelation 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

I also believe that at Jeremiah 31:7; when d Israelites were burning their sons and daughters in fire as sacrifice to a foreign god, God told them that their actions have not even Come up into his heart...
Hell is falsehood, rooted in paganism. #paganism_in_christianity

Programming / Re: Why PHP Should Not Be Your Primary Language by Nascimento(m): 7:30pm On Jul 17, 2016
dhtml18:
I have been trying to hold my peace, but the truth is that I feel like flogging many people on this thread - and I shall if seun gives me an e-cane.

For what now??

Are you guys are that youtube is one of the successful websites built by PHP

You guys should look at this link - https://www.quora.com/What-are-the-top-10-websites-built-with-PHP

Now, the question I will ask you dudes including the OP. Have you built something as awesome as the above with PHP? In short, have you used to PHP to the limits before you start criticizing it?

I am not here to criticize PHP, I am just saying that Nigerian developers are usually lazy, with zero startups or even works to show for their skills.
Instead of spending time criticizing PHP, .NET, Python and the others. You guys should spend your time creating awesome stuffs for us to review.

PHP is not my primary language anymore, that will be JAVA. But again, you will see people shouting that JAVA will die and all that. I have an app in playstore at the moment built with android/JAVA and it is being used worldwide with almost 100,000 users at the moment.
And you know what, the backend of the app is built with PHP/MySQL - yes, i said it. And it has not died till now. And it serves concurrent users without any hassles. And no, it is for a client, and i am under NDA agreement, so i am not going to disclose it - although some nairalanders close to me already know the APP i am talking about.

Yeah, I know that I am very likely to migrate everything to a NODE cloud very soon. But wait, before you start criticizing PHP, how many of you guys have actually created a PHP APP/API serving like a 100,000 concurrent customers?

To do that, you will have to go beyond your conventional PHP programming, and learn so many gaddamn techniques that your code will no longer even look like PHP again.

I am not trying to make anyone feel bad, but you guys should get to work!!!!!!!

On point Dhtml, I'm still learning how to program. One thing in common with average Nigeria programmers is that, they brag and critisize alot with no outstanding portfolio to show.

Languages are just tools, how u use them depends on the project at hand.

I believe you are using good and substandard products to depict my argument for religion.

Please fix as appropriate;

Catholic
Methodist
Anglican
Church of Christ
Seventh Day Adventist
Church of Christ of Latter Day Saints
Olumba Olumba
Celestial Church of Christ
Redeemed Christian Mission
Believers Love World
Jehovah's Witnesses
The Lord's Chosen

Help me categorize the above according to good and substandard (I'll come up with more).

Then you check bible translations;

Good News Version
King James Version
New world Translation
Revised Standard Version
New Jerusalem Bible
The Living Bible etc

Please explain why they should be different versions of a holy book. The only obvious answer is that it's a forgery. But let me wait for your answers.

There are no forgery my Bro. All translations are from the Greek septuagint. The only problem is that, when translating from the original source {septuagint}, falsehood was introduced my lawless men.

Dear Nairalander, my sister had a B.Sc in Zoology couple of years ago and she couldn't find a work place that befit her course of study, she went further to obtain her Masters in Parasitology hopping to increase her chance of employment alas she still cannot find a befitting workplace. Shes presently working as a casual staff in a law firm earning a peanut and shes worried about not using her certs to get a befitting job. Please i need your help on likely companies she can apply to. thanks very much for your reply in advance.

The mistake we do in Nigeria is that, we assume that putting in for masters will give us greater chances of getting a job. If u are going in for a course in school and u don't no who ur future employers are; then u are in for a long shayt. *not trying to be rude Bro.

Since she has a masters in Parasitology, let her check on National Institute of ARBOVIRUS enugu, Institute of human virology Abuja, national trypanosomiais research Institute kaduna, or nation medical research Institute Lagos. Or better still apply for a lecturing position.

After unfollowing this topic, why are you disturbing me?? lol, Just kidding wink

**Web design is just building the visual interface of a website...It would be bad navigating to a website and all you see are files and folders!!
So web designers use CSS or CSS preprocessors and HTML to build and style a web page!

**Web developers..hmmm, Designers are also developers..
But i guess you mean the Web Programmers..

Web Programmers work on web page interactions, Back end development e,t,c

**Note HTML & CSS aren't Programming languages, so Web Designers aren't programmers

You can't just look at a website and know what they used in building their platform (Maybe if you're a Wizard smiley) because what you see when you're looking at that website is just HTML and CSS. Don't get me wrong: There are tools for PC, MAC, Linux e.t.c, that will help you scan a site and detect the frameworks used..
So what you should be looking for are the tools that'll help you find the Frame work that site is using!
E.g: I heard Jumia was built on Yii or so..I'm not sure

Thanks for you thoughtful posts. It's encouraging really, especially when I'm looking for a push. I've learnt html and css. Started learning Javascript, but I'm frequently loosing concentration, and thinking of taking a time off. Need people like u and @Dhtml for inspiration and strength. I followed u on Twitter @iphyviktor. Cheers!
