today's drogba and chicharito?
you must be a twunt, nateevs. . . .

i am sure you think zidane of today is better xavi.
drogba stopped being a striker 2 seasons ago - what you have now is a walking corpse.
How about today's Chicharito?
He's not scored a goal this season.
Until he does, there's nothing to suggest he won't disappear into oblivion as another Milan Baros.

Andre Uweh:
Cech and David Luiz available for selection this week.
Chelsea fans, possible line ups please.
I am expecting us to line up this way.

        ----Cech----
Bosingwa-Luiz-Terry-Cole
-----------Mikel-----------
--Meireles--    --Lampard-
 Danny--Torres--Mata-

It may change though, considering the fact that there's a crucial CL game against Leverkusen on Tuesday.

Sharon's here again. . .

I know you always like to talk up United but to claim that Chicarito is a better striker than Drogba?
You must be high on contaminated cannabis.

My friend sharrap dia. When last where you in Lagos? Keep believing the hype. . .

Things take time. Even with the four years of Fashiola the same issues still persists. The same bad roads, same terrible drainages, same flooding, same crime and insecurity, same thugs and area boys, same dirty streets, yes same trading on the streets, same crossing of highways, same corruption, same lack of portable water, same traffic. There may have been slight improvements in a few areas but holistically there's a whole lot left to be done.
Did you even read your post Somze? My argument was not about how well things have improved but if people can adjust if the head is right. Yes, people can and will take to new ways of life if there is enforcement of the law!

Because I no call you when I reach Lagos no mean say I no show. . tongue tongue
If we are to out-source the Presidency of this country to citizens of the West like Clinton, Tony Blair etc, Nigeria will still not change because we frustrate our leaders and make governance hectic for them. The problems plaguing our country are so multi-faceted that it will frustrate any sane leader. If we are any better than our leaders, how come they find peaceful abodes among ushuh How come we keep producing one bad leader after another since independencehuh A nation deserves the leader it gets.
Absolute bollocks mate. How have Lagosians gone from hanging off the doors of a Molue bus to queueing orderly at bus-stops for a BRT bus? How have Lagosians gone from perceiving Oshodi as a "never to be revived" place to a place where you no longer loiter and trade on the streets? How have Nigerians come to accept bus lanes? Red light at traffic lights? No crossing of highways?

Please, stop making excuses for leaders. People break the law because they can. If there's a consequence for throwing litter into your drains, people will not do it. That consequence can only be realised by enforcing the law; and enforcing by law enforcement agencies doing their jobs. Who makes sure LEAs do their jobs?

It's a simple solution. Sort out the head and the rest will follow.

Cool down dia! You would swallow your words! What are you talking about "we bid for one of the most creative players". Sharrrrraaaaap dia! What did Modric create last season? Abi creativity is measured is some fantasy index of yours? Meireles created a lot more than him. I know you are one of those who wish evil on our club, sanctioning a ludicrous £40m move for Modric just like you sanctioned £50m move for Torres whilst I was shouting NO!

Although I'd be surprised if Chelsea paid £15m for an unwanted player who cost £11.5m last year. I was expecting the deal to weigh in at £10m.
I like when you do that thing. Not only do you disconnect yourself to the £50m Torres price tag to look like a legendary pundit, you make others look like they supported it to make yourself look even better. Oya find the quotes wey I take support the transfer of Torres at £50m. . . if not,

Secondly find the quote wey I take support Modric at £40m join. . . Anoufia. I even said this early this morning.

nateevs:
I am not happy at all. I really would have preferred we did no biz at all.
But you never see this. . . Dude, there's a difference between wanting Modric and wanting wanting at £40m. . And there is a difference between not wanting Modric at all and not wanting him at £40m. You are confused about which stances we both take. . . Yes you always get it right, but hindsight is it still looking bad that we didn't sign Gourcuff?

Ibime hands off me I go wound you oooo. . . grin grin
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread:Home Of The Blues!!!! by nateevs(m): 1:51am On Sep 01, 2011
I am not happy at all. I really would have preferred we did no biz at all. It's been a very good TW until tonight. We need that creative spark still in mid field.
Mata, Lukaku, Romeu really would improve our squad but this Meireles, I am absolutely banging my head against a wall.

We went from bidding one of the best creative midfielders to buying another box to box dude.
We bid £15m for an average footballer who is not only injured, cannot also not get into the current Liverpool team.
Then we go ahead and sign him for 4 flipping years. A 28 year-old for 4 years? Pathetic.
Meireles = Ramires. . .I am sorry I do not see what he offers that Ramires cannot.
I cannot imagine attempting to play them both in mid field.
We loan out arguably the best player in pre season and currently the most creative spark in CM to potentially a team that could knock us out of the top four spot. What we intend to gain from the desperation to offload Benny, I have no idea.

We just ruined what could have been a perfect TW in my opinion.

I'd rather give that spot to Josh and keep Kakuta frm going on loan.

I have to hope he brings his best to the table after all said. I am really hoping AVB knows a bit about from Porto. The scary thing is that AVB sold him to Liverpool and bought Moutinho. . . Never had a chance to work with him.

Typical Goebelism on display as usual, the club was always working on those signings, only trying to cut deals in their usual conservative manner.
What Debo and I always said was to wait till the transfer window closure, the books are still balanced in typical Arsenal fashion.
Yeah yeah.

For the fact that Bertrand can go on loan, Kalou can be offloaded, I will say we are desperate.

Apples vs Agbalumos. . . United have a much younger squad than Chelsea, young players will improve naturally(Nani being the prime example last year) while Chelsea's OAPs can only get worse. They also lost the league by a single point, Chelsea were 9 abi 10 points behind last season.

Then there's City bringing in the likes of Nasri and Kun - top top top top players!
Talking from your arse again.
Is that something you cooked up or something you just like to believe?
Yes ManU have a younger squad but ease up on the BS na!
Chelsea's OAPs can only get worse like we don't have young players who can get better.

PVA 21
Betrand 22
Josh 18
Lukaku 18
Oriol 19
Danny 22
Mata 23
Ramires 23
Mikel 24
Kakuta 20
Piazon 18

According to your posts, all these players cannot get better. I think you will find that United only have a marginally younger squad than ours. However this OAP shit you guys keep banding about has got soo stuck up in your head you refuse to deal with facts.

Abeg go concentrate on your team.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread:Home Of The Blues!!!! by nateevs(m): 7:37pm On Aug 31, 2011
Currently we stand at 28 players. PVA and Kakuta on loan means we are 26.
One more player will leave and it will be either Ryan Bertrand or Benayoun to comply with the 25-man squad.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread:Home Of The Blues!!!! by nateevs(m): 7:32pm On Aug 31, 2011
Kakuta on loan to Bolton. That's a very good loan deal.
We've seen what Owen Coyle can do with youngsters.
Wilshere and Sturridge come to mind.

I am very worried. We cannot allow Benayoun go if no one is coming in.
That's the least I expect. Even AVB himself confirms we are short in midfield.

Meanwhile, PVA is going on loan to Wigan.
