Ibime: Torres is playing a lot better. His hold up play is now looking as it used to do. Just need the goals to add to it.
I would like to see Benayoun and DD on the pitch though He really is looking very focused. Hasn't lost the ball cheaply. He needs a goal and his confidence will pick up. Kalou and Malouda are shutting down any sort of dynamism we have. Unfortunately Anelka coming on won't change anything either. This is a game for Danny and he's banned. |

Business › Re: What's Happening On The Lekki Axis? by nateevs(m): 1:37am On Aug 14, 2011 |
I do not really know Lekki that well but one way to solve the problem is to use a technique usually employed here in the UK.
Take the 30m off the road as scheduled. That means the market goes. Then build a concrete platform over the road - the size of the current market - which appears to the road users like an underpass/tunnel. Then construct access ramps unto and off the overhead platform from the express-way.
Like i said, I don't really know the road so can't say for sure that this will work. |

How can any ISP justify N63,000 per month for 1Mb of bandwidth? What exactly in the process of transmission requires so much money? £242 a month. |
Computers › Re: Cisco Guru Help! Cant Connect To Internet Via Cisco 2800 & Idirect X3 by nateevs(m): 10:29pm On Aug 13, 2011 |
Oh nice to know you came back to see this. I didn't ask you to remove the excluded addresses command. I only asked you to include addresses that will be assigned via dhcp to the access-list. Those addresses are 10.13.2.9 and above.
If you don't add those addresses to the access-list, they will not be translated and your PCs will not be able to route to the internet. |
Computers › Re: Globacom Submarine Cable - Glo-1 by nateevs(m): 10:00pm On Aug 13, 2011 |
samir101ng: Hi,
Good news again in the Nigerian bandwidth industry. Two (2) new fibre-optic submarine cables are under construction and are expected to go live in Q2 2012. They are :
1. WACS - West African Cable System 5.12 TB/S 2. ACE - African Coast To Europe 5.12 TB/S
Nigeria is among the countries situated to have a landing station. This makes it 5 cables carrying bandwidth for Nigeria to the outside world. Excluding SAT-3, this makes it 4. Wow, this is what I call bandwidth overkill. The issue now is having the infrastructure in the country to take advantage of this bandwidth and deliver it to our homes and offices. The ISP's also should adjust their prices accordingly as competition heats up. Yeah. I learnt about WACS and ACE early this year. MTN are the biggest investors in WACS which is good competition for Glo and Main One. It's also very advantageous to multi-homing deployment. One can ensure traffic via different routes to several destinations. Is there any way we can find out which ISPs in Naija are connected to what undersea cables? |
Computers › Re: Globacom Submarine Cable - Glo-1 by nateevs(m): 9:39pm On Aug 13, 2011 |
Djcn: Good news Indeed. But to be frank, these have not translated to lower prices for the individual user, only corporate organizations benefit from these. I look forward to when you pay for content and not for the link. Years to come but we will get there. Can more cables land pls Exactly. Lower prices is key. I was checking out the links Samir posted in the Data Centre thread and it's ridiculous what these guy charge for a few kbits of transfer. You wonder why the cost of bandwidth on SAT3 is as high as $2,400 - $12,000 per Mbits per month. How can anyone defend those costs? Does it cost more laying a cable from Africa to the UK? That's why more of them are welcome. At some point, something will give and one company will have to slash it's prices. |

duduspace: Stop that hypocritical lamentation jare, yu aint pulling wool over my eyes. this arsenal team beat Manure last season and then lost to Stoke and Aston Villa in their next 2 matches, so how we do against Newcastle has no bearing on how we will do against all those other teams. If anything, where last season we collapsed, this season we held on with a supposedly weaker team. Just siddon dey look and don't draw any hasty conclusions about this team or it will come back to bite yu big time. We are on a bold new adventure and I'm not even sure Arsene himself knows how this will end if we lose both Cesc and Nasri and don't replace them. Bros easy nau!. Have you seen me make a conclusion? I have not said that what you did today has any bearing on the season. At the same time, you cannot say it does not. You cannot hide the fact that Nasri and Fabregas in this team who have strolled over Newcastle. That is a massive difference. However like I said, too early to call. |

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fans Thread (for Arsenal Fans) by nateevs(m): 8:08pm On Aug 13, 2011 |
coogar: the truth and nothing but the truth. . . . .gervinho was a bit unlucky cos barton was the catalyst to that brawl. barton had no right going with that aggression to pick gervinho up but gervinho shouldn't have slapped him on the cheek(it's a straight red)!
apart from that, arsenal had 69% possession and did nothing with it. that's my problem with wenger's inferior tiki-taka. what's the point of hugging that much possession and creating little? walcott(i keep saying possesses no football brain). he picks the ball and dribble his way out of touch like a zombie. gervinho was the brightest spark on the park. . . . .van persie laboured hard, without cesc/nasri's golden delivery, robin starved like a somali kid.
alex song held his own, szczesny was brilliant and i think vermaelen/koscielny axis did well. wenger needs to get this team sorted - too many mediocre performers. 2 points dropped, plenty of games to play - may the best team triumph! While what you said is absolutely spot-on, it's freaking Newcastle for pete's sake. I really worry for Arsenal. I imagine a decent team against Arsenal today - Bolton, Sunderland, Everton - and they would have gone down. Only Wilshere can make them better. That was the best 11 they could field. The brightest input was from Gervinho and he's out. . . . and I am not convinced about his final ball. Today, he reminded me of Kalou. Next - Liverpool, United, Swansea, Blackburn, Bolton, Spurs, Sunderland. On paper, Arsenal should drop max 3pts from these ties. However, from what I saw today. . . |
