I did not see him play at Ajax but only have clips. His Inter solourn was very short lived. Bergkamp jabs the ball more to the top of the net and he loops well too. However, his loops cannot be compared to Raul's. There is a large difference in the parabolic nature of their loops.

How many goals did Bergkam score with loops when compared to Raul?I am sure there are enough Youtube videos to quickly do a comparison. The manner Raul finishes off is just too neat and clinical. I am not trying to take away anything from others neither am I saying Raul is the best striker of all but his finishing is just so so unique with surgical precision.

Inzaghi is one of my favourite strikers as well. In fact, I cannot remember him or Raul missing a one -on- one. Almost everyone on your list is a one on one executor and this is why the issue of "clinical" needs to come in. Raul is so clinical in that situation. Ronaldo 9 bulldozeers his way through. Raul scores his through surgical precision. He is also the king of do loops in such situation.

There are a couple of better strikers than RAUL (few anyway) but rare to find one as clinical as he is in front of goal. If you do not understand the maning of the word "clinical" as used, ask questions rather than joking around.
All those on your list are / were fantastic strikers as well. Someone like Fillipo Inzaghi for example. Kindly provide me with the goal records of Lewandowski , Henry and co in Europe again. The last time I checked, Raul holds the 3rd position with 142 strikes in Champions league behind Ronaldo and Messi. What is the total career strikes of those on your list when compared to Raul? Provide statistical evidence sir.

Ronaldo De Lima may be more fearsome and aggressive but Raul is the most clinical finisher I have ever seen. What Ronaldo will achieve with 1,000J of energy, Raul will achieve same with less than 100J.

Don't try to shift goal posts now, your post was clear enough. You guys are trying to imply that Ronaldo's goal was rated the best by professionals and wins the official award, while Messi's goal won an inconsequential fan vote.

There is no official panelist list that did a countdown from 10 to 1. They simply had a shortlist of 10 goals (its on the UEFA site too) in no defined order, and Ronaldo's goal was the first on the list. Nowhere did they tell you that that was a ranking of the goals, and that Ronaldo's own was adjudged the best.

If it was they would have said so explicitly like they did for Messi's goal that was eventually voted the best and given the title GOAL OF THE TOURNAMENT.

Also notice how it is not FANS GOAL OF THE TOURNAMENT.

Can you point to anywhere where I said it was an inconsequential fan vote? Maybe you are mistaking me for someone else. Ronaldo's goal was my personal best. Please check page 1 for my post. How can anyone refer to fans vote as inconsequential where fans are the main engine room of football? Are they not the ones that watched? While I agree that I said in one of my posts that panelists shortlisted and put Ronaldo's goal in the number 1 spot on the list (which is not a lie), I clearly stated that Messi won the votes after the fans voted.

UEFA favours fan vote for their best goal award. They do it every week and at the end of the tournament. You people just like pushing meaningless anti-Messi agenda.

Have you seen any UEFA source that explicitly refers to Ronaldo's goal as the best? You see their post on their website where 'winner' is written next to Messi, and you are still arguing about the position of names on the top 10 list. Even a list that is not sorted in any particular order must have an item at the top. It means nothing unless they say otherwise.

Go give Ronaldo the award na. Someone whose goal wasn't even recognized as goal of the group stage.

UEFA is not PFA, and the goal of the tournament is simply a recap of the goal of the week. It's not a big award like player of the tournament which is decided by a panel. They shortlist best goals and the winner is voted by fans.

UEFA used the same format they use in awarding goal of the week. You would understand this if you have voted the goal of the week before. See the goal of the tournament here.

What are you saying? Go back to the first page and see my post. Messi won the fans' vote for goal of the tournament and I never said he did not. It is not just because it is a smash in, it is about the execution and timing. Anyone can smash a ball into the net but that particular execution is exceptional. He even timed his leg movement while running with the ball such that he connected with the ball the next time his leg was in position. Timing a long range pass from opposite side or a diagonal long range pass is easier to deal with but timing a long range pass from same side while running is not easy to control talk more of giving it a one-time connection to beat one of the best goal-keepers in his near post. The execution is superb and not more than 5% of footballers can score that without giving the defender and keeper any chance. The goal needs to be stored in a museum. If it is not an exceptional goal, it won't be voted as the best by UEFA.Mind you, the committe that voted included some of the greatest players of the game in the past including the legendary Raul, who to me, is the greatest one-on-one finisher of all time.

Lol. Ronaldo's one-time shot against Manchester United is one of the most perfectly executed goals I have ever seen in football. It takes a great deal of calculation and accuracy to score such. I doubt if 2% of footballers can score that. As for free kicks, hundreds of footballers have scored freekicks and placed the ball in angles that are impossible for keepers to reach. Messi won the vote this time but that Ronaldo's goal is so outstanding.

Moreover, they are losing all the aerial battles and generally playing as if there is nothing to play for. I will suggest that Lucas Moura be brought in and replaced with Harry Kane........Harry Kane seems too rusty with movements and touches. Son should also switch position away from that left flank.
The players are playing as if they have been busy under the sheets for a couple of days.
