reicherMan: The Osun State Police Command has paraded an ex-convict, Adeoye Sina, Bakare Fatai and Bolanle Soladoye for allegedly killing a pastor of a Cherubim and Seraphim church in Ibadan, Oyo State, identified as Emmanuel Ogedengbe.
The state Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Ige said, the ex-convict, Adeoye, who had served two years’ jail term for being in possession of human wrists, connived with five others to kill Ogedengbe.
How can someone that was found with human wrist serve just a 2 years jail term Naija na wa!
reicherMan: He said Ogedengbe had approached him for help because there were no longer worshippers in his church.
No more worshipers or no more customers No more money from offering, tithes, and other funny contributions. Government needs to do a serious clamp down on all these funny worship centres. Maybe there should be recognised schols of theology and if you cannot produce a certificate from one of such, you should be dealt with. It is not the ultimate solution but at least, will clamp down on all those thieves claiming they were called by God.
reicherMan: “One of the boys I asked to follow him to the river where he would have a bath suddenly brought out a machete and severed his head. I didn’t ask them to kill him.”
Lies from the pit of hell. Rather than looking for a fresh client to severe the body parts and use for rituals, they saw a willing customer that deliberately walked into their hands and thus, wanted to use him for rituals. The useless concoction was deliberately made to make the mumu Pastor weak so that the process of cutting off his body parts will not be met with much resistance. What a wicked world we live in.
Most Nigerian lecturers lack empathy. I once missed a statistics test in my undergraduate days and was scored 0/30. I tried my best to see the lecturer and beg. I explained that I was sick on the day of the test and all. All my pleas fell on deaf ears. In fact, he asked me to leave his office. The exam became my last hope. To cut long story short, I scored 70/70- A in the exam. When the lecturer was recording, he was astonished that someone who scored 70/70 in an exam scored 0/30 in the test. He then sent for me, told me how I am the first person ever to have a perfect exam scores in his course bla bla bla and asked how I got 0/30 in the test. I explained to him that I was the one he walked out of his office the other day I came to beg when I missed dthe test due to ill-health. He later apologised. Nigerian lecturers are embroiled in power oriented tendencies. They need to watch it and always show more empathy towards students. In school, students face a lot of challenges due to health, finances and so on.
Kelklein: I love what Oyedepo is doing.. He really mastered the Europeans' style of treating the black man..
Preach on..pastor!
Meanwhile in other news..
who says loyalty does not pay?!
If you are waiting for Nigeria to be better.. you are sitting on a long thing..
You guys are idiots. If Emefiele was replaced with an aboki, you would scream nepotism. Now, his position was retained, you are still complaining and opining that it was retained because he was seen bowing his head to conversate in a random picture. What exactly do you want? You foools can hardly be pleased.
sssoulw: Yeah, Barcelona, Trophy or no Trophy, they are shit without Messi
They need to find a solution to this ASAP because Messi and Ronaldo will soon retire. When they had Ronaldinho, Eto o and co, the team was not built around one man but for some years now, all the initiative for attack comes from Messi and it is not fair on him. The over-dependence on his talent is too much. In the 2nd leg game against Liverpool, I don't know how Virn Dirk and co did it.....they made sure that there was no 1-2 pass between Messi and Jordi Alba and that was it. Once Messi is clipped, Barcelonia becomes terrible. During the latter stage of the match, they were just targeting a pass for Messi to make something happen but he was already well surrounded with zonal marking. About 3 weeks ago when Messi was benched, Barcelonia was so atrocious going forward. I didn't know he would be rested. If I had known, I would not have placed a bet on them to win. They played against a bottom team on the league table and could not score just 1 goal. The midfield maestros in the likes of Xavi and Iniesta that would have made things better are no longer there. Barcelonia also missed Neymar so much.At least,he was a ball walker, moves the ball and takes pressure off Messi.....Suarez cannot do much of that as he is basically a goal poacher. The MSN attack was deadly those times and Messi worried less. I honestly feel for him. How about Dembele? How is that one playing? He should be able to use his energy and youthful vigour to make Messi rest a bit during matches but I've not been seeing much of him.
sssoulw: But he played as a good CF in 2012/2013 season... That time Song was kinda benching sergio Busquet because of attacking agility and speed but due to his much focus on the attack as a defending 4, barca conceeded too much goals.. Messi was one of the highest goalscorer then
This is another detailed analysis of the Messi role as a decoy in Barcelonia, why and how it worked and how it was countered by big opposition teams. It also clearly stated the difference between the normal no 9(CF role) and the false 9 (decoy role). It even explains how Pep tried doing the same thing with Gotze at Bayern but did not work out because Gotze does not have the same ability as Messi. Have a good read! https://www.sportskeeda.com/football/explaining-false-9-the-tactic-that-made-messi-what-he-is-today

Not in all the games sir. In the opening match of the season for example, when Barcelonia defeated Villareal by 5:0, he played a false 9 role and it worked perfectly. In a lot of the matches, he played from the right side of the field. See the capture below and the analysis using the arrows to illustrate how Mesi's movements would be.(It perfectly showed that he was a false 9).
Yeah , he was. In the second leg , he had to come in as a substitute(he was half fit) and somehow managed to rescue Barcelonia. Total aggregate was 3:3 and Barcelonia qualified ahead of PSG on away goal rules.
sssoulw: Messi lacks the ability,, I disagree with you man
What do you disagree with? As a centre forward, Giroud, Lukaku etc are more suited for the role than Messii. The CF role is not about being able to play exceptional footbal. There are certain body builds that fit the CF role. Aguero is one of the few players I know without the physical build but still deadly as a CF. Messi is too diminutive to play as a CF...............crosses cannot find him, he can also be easily sandwiched between big Centre backs. Would you compare Messi as a CF to players like Ibrahimovic, Drogba, Ronaldo etc? This is impossible! That is why the best he can play is a decoy or if you like, a false 9. Do you understand my point? This is not to say that Messi is not an exceptional player.
sssoulw: PSG vs Barcelona - Champions League Quarter final 2013
Thanks. At least, you were able to bring out something unlike my friend that was dribbling in circles. Having said that,on the formation counter or arrangement, Messi was placed as though he was a CF. As soon as the match started, he switched. In fact, if you watch the full match, you will see that no sooner had the game begun than David Villa became the target man for Barcelonia. In fact, the goal Messi scored was from the left hand side of the attack. Villa and Sanchez were also alternating positions sometimes(it was on one of those occasions that Sanchez was brought down in the box)but there was no time Messi took the CF role in that match even though the formation before the match showed that he was supposed to play as a CF..........He most likely played the false 9 role we earlier stated. Nevertheless, David Villa played a far more CF role than Messi in that match that ended 2:2. Here are the highlighs of the match;

tommykiwi: If he is a failure then the Lifeless one is what?
Funny thing is that most of you that refer to Buhari as the lifeless one may die before him. A lot have died before him and some of you may still die before him. Watch your tongue. Only God is the giver of life and you have no right to call someone "lifeless" just because he once had health challenges.
Ebullience: Sen. Ademola Adeleke, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for Osun 2018 Governorship Election said he had instructed his counsels to challenge the appeal court judgement which upheld Gov. Gboyega Oyetola’s election at the Supreme court. Adeleke, in a statement made available to newsmen in Osogbo on Thursday said he received the appeal court judgement with dissatisfaction.
According to him, the judgment of the appeal court relied on weak technical foundation, while the substantive issue which formed the basis of the lower tribunal judgement was relegated to the background. “I received with dissatisfaction the judgement of the Court of Appeal on the ruling of the election petition tribunal which had duly returned me as the validly elected governor of Osun state.
“I have subsequently instructed my counsel to prepare for an appeal against today’s judgement at the Supreme Court immediately. “Today’s judgement relied on weak technical foundation.
“The substantive issue which formed the basis of the lower tribunal judgement was relegated to the background. “We are reviewing the full ruling and action has already commenced to appeal the judgement and ensure the eventual retrieval of the stolen mandate,” Adeleke said. He, however, urged the people of the state not to be downcast, saying that the struggle for good governance and retrieval of People’s mandate cannot be truncated by any flawed judgement. “We are taking the legal battle further to the topmost court in the land. I am confident the apex court will upturn today’s unsustainable ruling.
“To all members of PDP in Osun State and my campaign organisation, the struggle is now at the most critical stage. “We cannot waiver nor slow down. We must forge ahead in high spirit until final victory is attained.
“In this endeavour, I promise to provide the leadership as the genuine governorship mandate holder in Osun State” Adeleke said. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal nullified the judgment of the Osun State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal. The tribunal had in its verdict of Friday, March 22, 2019, declared the PDP and its candidate, Sen. Adeleke, the winner of the Sept. 22, 2018 polls. However, Justice Jummai Sankey, read the lead judgment of the Court of Appeal on Thursday. Justices Abubakar Yahaya, Isaiah Akeju and Bitrus Sanga agreed with the lead verdict.
A fifth member of the appellate court, Justice Ita Mbaba, disagreed and upheld the election tribunal’s verdict that gave the victory to Adeleke.
dominique: Multichoice Nigeria are just getting more useles by the day. They increased subscription bills and reduced content. They did not buy the rights to air Europa League, star times did. I know some die hard Arsenal and Chelsea fans that bought star times decoders because of Europa.
I am telling you. "Useless" is an understatement. 10,600 cannot even watch Europa match. What a joke! I downgraded from Premium and even saw that almost all (if not all) of the Movie channels are gone. Multi choice is ripping us off big time.
Andrez123: I watched it on startimes sports premium. Startimes has the exclusive rights to show the Europa league in Nigeria. DStv screwed over their Nigerian customers by not acquiring the rights because it's available on Super sports 3 South Africa but not on Super sports 3 Nigeria...if you have streaming apps like Mobdro and Mobikora it was on Bein sports 1
Andrez123: Arsenal continue to demolish a hopeless Valencia ..a good string of passes and Aubameyang gets his 3rd goal and it's 4-2 to Arsenal and 7-3 on aggregate.
Opiletool: My favourite track in that album is "God is in Your Mind'
"fight your wars, lose at some, fight some more Don't be scared to get lost and be found You're that someone you think you're looking for Let the fire burn just like before" Chorus "For the first time, God shall be without a face For the first time, God shall be without a name You no longer look for self in every mirror For the first time, God is in your mind"
Very deep lyric with lots of meanings. Dude is a freaking genius
grandstar: We all have emotions and we should construct our words in such a way that it will be constructive without hurting. Learn how to tell someone to go to Blazes and he'll be looking forward to it.
I doff my heart for Seun as he was quite young when he started and the site now has over 2m members.
Yes, Seun needs to improve the site but why don't you suggest to him politely? (Read Proverbs 15:1)
Bandwidth is expensive hence watching video on their bandwidth is a no no. Even now, they are struggling with bandwidth
Seun's biggest problem is that revenue is not comensurate with the traffic to the site.
His best source of revenue would have been Google Adsense. That was their primary source of revenue when it started but Google didn't like some content here (most likely from the sex subforum) and they dropped Nairaland.
Their present source of revenue which is paid advertising from Nigerians on different sub forums using banner ads won't bring in commensurate income.
There are other ways he can monetize the site such as Taboola and Revcontent but it will look spammy, ruin the user experience and take visitors away from Nairaland.
I was the one that suggested the "mention" option to Seun and I am glad he took the suggestion. Before now, if someone quotes you, you won't be notified, you will have to scroll through the entire thread to be looking if someone has quoted you. At least, he took the suggestion.
