Are you a real football fan? What has physicality got to do with soccer artistry? Lionel Messi is barely 5ft 7ins, Raheem Sterling is barely 5ft 7ins and Sergio Aguero is 5ft 8ins. These guys have no physical presence that can scare anybody yet they are forces to be feared in football. Sometimes I feel there is something amiss about Africans in constructive stream of thought. I guess Africans should stop blaming others for their irredeemable backwardness.

Is African football about artistry? . If you understand football, you will know that different regions play differently dominant styles. In Asia, extreme speed is a very dominant factor. In Europe flair is a dominant factor. In Africa, Physicality is a dominant factor. I am surprised this needs to be pointed out to you.

Is Lionel Messi a CF? How can you compare Lionel Messi to Ighalo. In the centre forward role position, Romelu Lukaku is more suitable than Messi. Is Raheem Sterling a typical Centre forward? Aguero is a very physical player and is one of the few exceptions to the build of a typical no 9. A standard 9 has a certain type of physique and height otherwise he will be sandwiched between big centre backs and crosses will not even be able to find him. If you do not understand this simple illustration, google "what it takes to be a centre forward" or check out all the best CFs at different times and look at their structure. It is rare to have a diminutive player as a CF.

What was the wrong thing Ighalo did yesterday? You lots are not knowledgeable about football but will come online to form nwa analyst. For your information, Ighalo's physical presence kept the backline of SA at bay and at alert and thus, some other people were free. How many through balls were supplied to Ighalo?

Talking about Chiqueze, he didn't really play well in the 1st game and was just average. Kalu Uche started in that position in the 2nd game and played better.... Kalu Uche also had a better physical presence. The opposition will determine what the coach will play and those at the helm of selecting players are not foools like most of you would like to think. If we would be meeting Ivory Coast, Kalu Uche will start ahead of Chuqueze... Now that it is Algeria, he will most likely start.

You talked about creativity. What creativity was shown against SA aside sending the balls to the flanks and our wingers trying to do something with the ball. Do you mean that if Mikel played, he won't know how to pass or what?

What creative play came from the Midfield against SA aside sitting deep and keeping them at bay??

That's was why I was suspecting he is fielding players to the gallery of some external influences which I think are whites who does not want us back amongst the best 10 in the world. No coach plays a winger who can't supply balls to the attackers. Let's hope he does the right thing in our next match. I can't wait to see these bunch of young talented players starting our games. The old players should please retire.

I don't disrespect Mikel as a personality; but I counter his inclusion with the present squad if we really want SE to move forward. We still have players like Chukwueze who can replace Mikel and do the work better, but emotions and sympathy will always affect our sense of judgement!

Asides, if I don't want Mikel, there's nothing you can do about it; it's my opinion. I can't be you and you can't be me. We think differently, that's why it's called PUBLIC OPINION.

If you counter his inclusion, there are better ways to communicate your objection unlike the way most of you sound like ingrates. I should not be surprised though because that's the same way Nigeria treats her heros.
You said Chiqueze can replace Mikel. Do they play the same position? Whether you like it or not, our team is still a bit dysfunctional. I am not saying playing Mikel is the solution but we still have a lot of work to do and yes! Mikel can still play depending on the tactics and the opposition. Our striker barely gets fed with good passes. Chiqueze still has a lot of learning to do...... Passing and crossing.

Not like that on the RN7 pro.... Works well. Phone is a beast.... Phone wey I make 2 months research before buying. A colleague that saw the phone for the first time today just picked it up and said.... "Which phone is this? It looks more premium and better than Apple". I just laughed... funny woman. A70 is 120k and yes it beats the RN7 Pro. 4000mah fast charge of 18W with Lcd display?? The display alone is a turn off.Maybe for a price of 96k its perfect.Only thing it beats the A70 on is the Gorilla glass as this is a must have at least for me

For the price I feel it beats it. The 4000mah battery in RN7 pro is Li-polymer while the 4500 battery in A70 is li-ion. Li-polymer cost more and is also more energy efficient than li-ion.
A70 is 32 mega pixels...... RN7 pro is 48

A70 is Corning gorilla glass 3.....RN7 is coring gorilla glass 5

The A70 does not beat the RN7 pro. 96k to 139k. Xiaomi RN7 Pro is a beast. There is no one that will hold the phone and not ask..... What phone is this? I didn't get the A70 cos of the 6.7 inches..... too long for me and no regrets settling for RN7 pro.

You're absolutely right! Thank God he played him tonight o. This guy is our new Messi and Okocha. You can be sure he will perform wonders with the ball in his legs. He doesn't disappoint! It's been over 15yrs we last had a playmaker in the SE. I pray Chukwueze doesn't fall into the hands of the wrong coach like Mikel, and I pray he keeps working hard and not relent. I'm OK with this team without Mikel! I pray they don't use him throughout o or else, you will see the loopholes. This team is getting balanced for me now; two good wingers Musa and Chukwueze, good midfield, Iwobi and Ndidi, and others. They are very complete now. And I can see the communication and understanding between them getting better. This guys will still surprise the world if our coach doesn't go political.

He plays well but he can also be benched. He didn't play well in the first match... The player that replaced him played well too and is not bad... I mean Samuel Uche or something(that dude does not even smile).... When Chikueze came off the bench, he played better than he did in the first game. The coach is good and knows his onions. Your level of disrespect to MIKEL is also annoying.

Lol. He is playing mind games with South Africa. We will beat South Africa if we slow down their gragra. So, we need to play a bit slower and firmly on the Midfield. I don't know if Awoziam can be drafted to the left hand side to stop those attacks from there. If not, Musa will have to use his speed to support the defence with Idowu as a back-up. Etebo will need to step up well too.

Ighalo is your typical no 9 standard, strong striker with a killer instinct. He has mastered how to get the job done with just 1 strike and less ball control. The only thing he needs to do more is to pick his spot earlier and observe the keeper's positioning before his strikes. He almost scored a 3rd goal but because he didn't look, he played the ball to the keeper whereas, more than half of the near post was empty and he could have easily played the ball there had he looked up. Also, whenever he is being man marked, he needs to get out of the defence and leave the defenders alone and go build up play from the midfield.



Simon is no longer the guy I used to know, his dribbling is now so bad and he failed to keep fit as he is a bit out of shape... his shots are not good enough too. He is stronger than Chukwueze but Chukwueze is a better player as he can manouvre better.



Etebo is no longer as physically fit as he used to be. His speed is also terrible as players came from behind to get the ball from him when going forward a couple of times. He also needs to work on his passes and a good awareness of his environment before receiving the ball.


Omeruos's greatest weakness is his inability to judge aerial balls correctly. He does not know where exactly the ball will land when played from afar and usually unable to take position on time and react; it cost us against Argentina at the world cup and made Cameroon score again. Trust Ekong was not so solid aerially as well. Our players need to train more on aerial defence and aerial challenges. Omeruo tried as he used his last leg to save a supposedly deadly attack at one time.


Awazien was a very solid pillar.

I was so furious when the coach removed Ighalo because of his physical presence. The Dongoyaro guy was more than useless..... He lacked ambition and focus, he just came in and could not even run to pressurize the keeper nor defenders when passing..... very lazy and sluggish player..... aerial ability too is zero, ball control..... very poor..... Cameroon qualifies. They have more goals scored than Nigeria even though the goal difference is same.
Now, we need to hope Thailand does not get beaten with more than 2 nil. Once Chile beats Thailand by 3:0, we will be out of the competition. I see a Thailand white-wash though considering the fact that they have conceded 17 goals in just 2 matches.

You are a foooooooooooooooooool OP. Their qualification statues is not yet known. We will know by the end of today. There are 4 spots. 2 have been taken already remaining 2. If Chile should beat Thailand by at least 4 goals margin, Chile will take a spot. If someone wins in the match between New Zealand and Cameroun by a 2 goal margin, the team will take another spot. So, we need to pray that Cameroon New Zealand should play a draw because once any wins, our chances are slim. If someone wins between Cameroon and New Zealand, we need to now further pray that Thailand will not be too white-washed by Chile. Anything above 3 goals margin in that match and a win between New Zealand, Cameroon, we are out.

The penalty rule is not even the issue. The referee was so terrible. The French babe should have gotten a card for diving. You see the yeye reverse angle they quickly gave to the referee to keep on rewinding and rewinding. These people are great cheats. Such a shame for football. Very cheap penalty to award. If such had taken place on the midfield, even if a free kick was awarded, is that a yellow card offence?
