Bennystrings: Suppose that f(x) = 1/x+1 and g(x) = 4/x+1. Find the domain of each of the composition a) f o g b) f o f The domain of f(x) is all real numbers EXCEPT -1 The domain of g(x) is all real numbers EXCEPT -1 a) f o g implies f(g(x) = f(4 /x+1) Recall that f(x)= 1/ x+1. what this means in simple terms is that f of anything, is 1/ ( that thing +1) Therefore, f( 4/ x+1) = 1/ ( 4/ (x+1) + 1). This will finally give (x+1) / (5+ x) as the final answer. b) f o f? First time I am seeing this kind but if the question does not have an error, then f of = f( f(x) = f ( 1/ (x+1)) = 1/ (1/ (x+1) + 1) = (x+1)/ (2+x). Would have taken a snap shot of the solutions but my phones have been stolen. Had to manage to type it out. cheers! |

Lalasticlala, mynd44, seun 1 rabbit saw 6 elephants while going to the river. The question did not state that the elephants were going to the river. Hence, I will technically eliminate the elephants. Now, every elephant saw 2 monkeys going to the river implies that there are only 2 monkeys going to the river and they were seen by all the elephants. Finally, every monkey holds 1 parrot in their hands implies that there are 2 parrots. Since the parrots are in the hands of the monkeys going to the river, then, they are also going to the river even though it may be unintentional. lol Total number of animals going to the river= 1 rabbit + 2 monkeys + 2 parrots = 5 animals. Therefore, 5 animals are going towards the river. |

Asake1759: How much does Meadow pay for New entry level? Does it pay for the Graduate Teacher Training Programme? There is no good organisation that will employ graduate trainees and not pay a token even if it is 40k, 50k per month etc. As for main salary, it varies depending on experience but for Meadow, should not be less than a 170k. You can try negotiating for 250k after all deductions. |

The PGCEi is recognised worldwide and could be your ticket to teaching in other foreign schools in Kuwait, Oman , Qatar etc where the pay for teachers is mad but the last time my friend paid for the program, it cost 1.6 million naira and that was before the recession. Oduok: I did not study education in the university though I love teaching so much. As I explained to my current employer that the reason I studied chemical engineering instead of chemistry education was so that I could have scholarship as I would have naturally not been able to go through university without some form of financial aid. I did one year internship in my field relating to oil sector but when I was to go for NYSC I decided I needed an education experience to add to my options of surviving after NYSC, incase oil job was not coming. I chosed a state that depends purely on education - Osun - as my first choice and was posted there for NYSC. Next thing was that I needed where I would really work and have the experience. Luckily enough I was posted to a private school where I served as a chemistry teacher: though I taught other sciences. I worked. I took the work serious. I learnt from those that studied education. I digested the handbook NYSC gave to prepare corps teachers. I needed an experience that would easily give me teaching job after NYSC. The effort yielded when my proprietor gave me an offer immediately after NYSC with an accomodation. I rejected the offer because I needed to move to an environment that my business and private engineering practice can sell, even as I work a a school teacher. Next one was when I was shortlisted for NPower scheme as an N-Teacher. I treated the offer with lack of interest since I knew we would be posted to public schools where teachers gain free money without challenging themselves with great tasks to develop themselves for the future. If my NYSC were to be in a public school I wouldn't have gotten the experience I got. I needed another private school that would give me more exposures to build on what I had - especially in practicals, and systematic teaching pedagogy. I didn't go for the NPower verification/deployment. I dropped applications in various private schools and was called by one on December. The aptitude test questions were pure education questions: bothering on learning domains, classroom management, pscychology of secondary school tenagers, evaluation methods, ethics of teaching profession, lesson note and lesson plan etc. I performed excellently and was invited for interview/microteaching which I performed so well and now I have been given the offer. This school is the ideal place I have wanted to grow a career in teaching. When I was to be given the offer, the proprietor asked why I didn't study education. Which I explained. He now asked how I intend growing in the career with no certificate as an educationist. I swiftly answered that I intend to make it up through mentorship and continuing eduction (PGDE) and he said the school would bear the cost of training me. So I want to encourage everyone: give your best to whatever life offers you for you do not know which one will be your source of open door. I love teaching. That is where my passion lies. Congrats OP. Where is the school located? Like I always tell people that the key to success is to seek specific knowledge and face a specific direction and follow it up. If you save up enough cash, consider doing a PGDE (international), get an IGCSE certification and probably an M.ED certificate and watch schools come for for you. The schol you are even has a mere proprietor (no pun intended). There are a lot of schools that are far better. There are teachers that get 100k,150k,200k,250k and even as high as 350k take home here in Lagos. So, work on those things I told you and see that your school as a starting point. Cheers! |

Before she began the sickness that eventually led to her death I remember vividly that she sent me to deposit #50000 for her. Since her demise none of us talked about it until very recently when the four of us met during Christmas. We are sure she has money there, but we don't know her account details except the account name which is certainly her full name.
I was told if an account is not used for six years, it will be blocked. Please is there a way we can get her account number, and the balance of the account. also what are the requirements to collect the money. Thanks. Hello Op. So sorry about your mum's demise. MissTechy: Lol Ha. You are laughing? Before now, I had watched a review by you and it was far better than this. This particular comparism is a sensitive one you know? This is Nairaland and whatever you do has influence in the decisions people make and that is why you have to be as objective as possible. I got an infinix Zero 4 and it was fantastic before it fell into water. The way you reviewed the Zero 4 + made it even look worse than Zero 4. You were supposed to lay a good emphasis on the fact that both phones; Zero 4 + and Phantom 6+ are so fantastic. However, you would like to point out some areas where one beats the other and leave the decisions to the buyers to read in between the lines and pick the phone that suits each user based on individual need but what you basically did was to tell us that the phantom 6+ is better and that is what people should get( may not be your intention though but that is what your review states). People have different things they look out for in phone. Let me give you an example. My Zero 4 fell into water and I am going to buy another Zero 4 rather than a Zero 4+ or Phantom 6+ because I do not like phones with a 6 inch display, looks awkwardly big to me. Moreover, if you read up about TFA (Two Factor Authentication) involving biometrics/ genetics.......fingerprints , iris scanner etc, you will observe that a lot of people do not fancy the idea of an iris scanner in the US where it is used on a large scale and I do not like Iris scanner too. So, that is not going to make me get a phone. I do not play games so much and even if i need to, I consider playing high level games on phones as too extreme and that is why when I need to, I use my 12 gig RAM laptop or basically play on the console itself. So, a 4 gig RAM over a 3 gig RAM phone is not sufficient as enough reason for me to get the one with the 4 gig RAM as a 3 gig RAM can function effectively and superbly for a mobile phone. The fact that a phone comes with a 20 mega pixel + camera is not going to make me get it also because I am not a freak and 16 mega pixel is sufficient enough for me and so on .... The point I am trying to make is that a review is supposed to objectively bring into buyers/ users features and effects of those features available in a device and then the user makes up the mind about getting it or not. Most people think that when a comparism is done, sides must be taken and that is a big NO particularly when it comes to technology. The idea of counting scores particularly when you know quite well that you will not talk about all the areas needed for a fair comparism and the ridiculous way you assigned multiple scores to opening of different apps seems biased and the way you were mentioning Lala makes it seem like a sponsored advert and that is very unprofessional. Don't get me wrong. The phantom 6+ may be a better phone than Zero 4+ at the end of the day but the way you handled the comparism raises a lot of question on integrity. If it was an average person or a regular Nairalander that did this, I would have overlooked it but based on who you are and what you do, this is a big thumbs down or maybe you failed to realise that you have more fans than you think. I am one of your fans not even here on Nairaland. So, always subject whatever you do to good scrutiny and objectivity all the time before you paste them here. Cheers! |

Segadem: My Oga, the thing tire me oh! I have learnt not to criticize him again, because the more I criticise him the more his fans come against me, ...the only reason why CR7 will be picked ahead of messi is just because he has more fans than messi, and I will give the reasons Reason No 1: many soccer loving fans prefer Madrid team to Barca ( or should I say they hate barca because of what barca has done to their loving club) 2: 80% of man u fans hate barca as a team if u consider what barca did to them on two occasion in the champion league final, and almost 90% of arsenal fans hate barca for the same reason, and what of Chelsea's? I can never forget the die-minute Iniesta's goal it was the last straw that broke the camel's back of all the Chelsea fans, my uncle nearly die from the heart attack he received from that goal 3: We all know that CR7 was once hero of man u, and u can't leave your hero and celebrate another's
On two different occasions, Barcelonia should not have even come close to playing in the finals of the champions league. I cannot forget how Chelsea was robbed. Pique glaringly handled the ball with his hands such that a blind man could see it but the referee ignored because of some orders from the top.2 late minute shots were handled with the hands and no decision was made right there in the box 18. No wonder Ballack and Drogba wanted to beat up the referee. Had justice been done, Barca would not even come close to playing in the finals. It is a well known fact that, at least 2 times Barca moved to the finals of the Champs league was through OJORO. So, what you wrote is trash. Barca may have dominated alot of teams in the past but not chelsea and at least 3 of her champs league triumph is tainted with ojoro and magomago. |

Imagine in a state like Ondo that have about 6000 participants. That is about 180 million naira going into the state economy. This will no doubt boost the economy of the state as purchasing power of the people will drastically improved. Their problem with the scheme is that they had jubilated early when the programme was still at the planning stage and because of the cash crunch.
My argument is that with the scheme like this, people will be more loyal and patriotic to the country. You are right bro. |

No matter how little the NPOWER stipend may be, it is still highly commendable considering the amount of people that will be paid every month. This is a kind of thing that would not be possible under some other kind of leaders. The huge money that will be disbursed every month would have been embezzled by some unscrupulous fellows. This is a thumbs up to the government. |
